“How about some white wine and acqua pazza? Oh, right—we’re out of basil, aren’t we? Shall we run to the store real quick… my little kitten♡”

But something was off. The supermarket felt different today. The moment they stepped into the produce section, a housewife nearby approached Shota, eyes sparkling.

The woman blushed and started enthusiastically explaining more. Ryoko, puzzled, thought, Wait, do they know each other? but brushed it off.

Then at the seafood section, a female clerk spoke to Shota in an unusually sweet voice.

“Today’s special is on meat, but… I’ll give you a special discount on anything you like♡”

As Shota gave another grin, another clerk jumped in.

“Oh my~ Sir~! I’d recommend this fresh sea bream. Right? ♡”

She leaned in close, practically touching his arm. Even Ryoko began to sense something was truly off.

It didn’t stop there. A demo lady held out freshly grilled sausages toward Shota.

“These… I grilled them just for you. Please, have as many as you’d like!”

And then a little girl ran up to him and pressed a cute chocolate into his hand.

“This is for you!”

One after another, women swarmed Shota—housewives, clerks, promo staff, even little girls—as if pulled in by a magnetic force, each one offering him something with adoring eyes.

Shota just kept… grinning.

Suddenly, the store PA system blared:

“♪ Ding-dong-ding-dong ♪ Attention, please. Mr. Shota, Mr. Shota, please come to the service counter~♡”

“…What!?”

Ryoko turned to see a female staff member in the PA room clutching the mic, blushing as she continued:

“U-um… Mr. Shota, we’re all hopelessly in love with you… Even if you’re married, just let us admire you from afar… If you could just walk by, it would make us so happy♡”

At that moment, the cashier began rewriting the POP signs:

The promo lady was now handing out flyers with a caricature of Shota’s face.

Shota: “Ryoko, even your angry bunny eyes are adorable. You’ll always be my number one.”

—Without a word, Ryoko used telekinesis to scoop Shota up under her arm and marched straight home.

Clerks whispered behind them:

Shota: “Wait, is that even a curse?” he grinned, staring lovingly at her.

Ryoko: “Fine! My final move: The Chocolate Special Curse!” (Shota-kun, want to devour me♡)

Shota: “Bon appétit~♡”

—And then, Ryoko suddenly realized a terrifying truth.

(Wait a second… none of the curses are working on Shota-kun… No. Hold on!)

(My curses… if Shota-kun doesn’t get embarrassed, then they’re just… purely my desires!!)
