Chapter 1:

Expectations

The New Life Of Brynjar

Now, I, Bynjar Solberg August Mauseth (must be addressed by full title) had just been reincarnated into a new world.

Now according to my well-informed brilliant brain, there should be magic in this world and if there isn't I will riot.

But that's besides the point right now, I had been born just a few minutes prior and now I'm in my new mothers arms.

I'm quite disappointed to find out that I can't already understand people's language here but because of how wise I am, I am almost sure to understand the language almost immediately.

I'm sure the God of this world only didn't give me that skill because it just wasn't necessary due to my superior intellect.

Moving on, I had no idea what the people around me were saying. There was about 5 people in the dimly lit room, 2 of which crying of joy. I couldn't really see much but I was on top of a single bed and paintings lined the walls of which I could see. It seemed to be quite a large room painted a light grey.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the other 3 people in the room, as looking at their servant like clothing, I could assume they were maids or something of the sort. Now this meant something amazing, It mean I was born into a rich family!

That means, I could get so many things easily and have an easy life. It would also be a lot easier for me to get a harem, even though I could get one flawlessly anyway.

I thank God for being able to see how superior I was compared to everyone else in the world, and decided to give me an easy life in my new life.

After a few busy days, of which I mostly slept through because I missed the feeling of sleeping after so long, I was finally alone, in a different room, which seemed to be my own. It was even bigger than the one I was born in and filled to the brim with toys, paintings and bookshelves.

Now for the moment of truth, I put my hand in the air with a dramatic motion and said as clearly as a new-born possibly could

"stasaiud" these words were meant to be pronounced as status.

But for some outlandish reason, nothing appeared in front of me. Now I was in a moment of shock and also embarrassment but that didn't matter for now. I was clearly wrong in my judgement.

But, it was only right for me to be wrong there as which highly-intelligent being wouldn't do that as they first got into a new world.

there was obviously just a different way to use magic, unbeknownst to me.

But then it occurred to me. Could it possibly be that my expectations lead me into a false reality and magic doesn't actually exist even if I happened to be reincarnated into a new world that seemed to be in a medieval setting?!!!!!

No, that cant be, I don't understand any possible reason to why magic wouldn't exist. I must just have to wait until I fully understand the language of this world and then I can check if magic is actually possible or not, No, I mean, then I can check how to use magic.

Its actually unthinkable for magic not to exist and it was just a ludicrous thought. I was simply short-sighted for the first time in both lives that I came to a false conclusion based on a simple action.

I need to stop being so smart enough to think of every possibility.

Being so smart is so hard.
