CHAPTER 2:- The Monster I Created Returns

Dale and Serena were enjoying their dates, Serena was particularly interested in hearing Dale's adventures during his last mission and Dale in return was eager to know about her research and the incredible achievements she made during the past three years when they were separated by distance. Even though they were thousands of miles apart, Dale constantly reminds himself of her. She was one of the primary reasons that gave him enough motivation to press on through his journey.

The waiter came near the couple and placed their orders on the table, It was Serena's favourite Beefsteak rice bowl and Dale's favourite Schnitzel.

"Wow! How do you know that this is my favourite??" Serena asked while devouring the meal.
"Hahaha, It's just a hunch" Dale responded proudly. Actually, Dale knew about Serena's fondness for steak from her colleague Adrien.

"Thank you so much, Dale! This is soo delicious!!" Serena struggled to say with food stuffed in her mouth.
After looking at the cheerful Serena's face for a moment, Dale began to eat his schnitzel. It was delicious, and it felt like it was specially made for him. Even though Dale was a UNAF citizen, he was particularly fond of Germayian foods. It somehow felt more familiar to him. That particular dish made him nostalgic. Dale was suddenly reminded of that one person that once prepared him a Shnitzel that was very delicious.

The date continued and Dale's unfounded worries gradually decreased and he began to relax his night with Serena. Little did he know what's about to happen next would turn his life upside down and his life would be never the same again.

Suddenly the church near the dinner explodes with a loud bang. The shockwave from the blast threw Dale and Serena out of the dinner alongside many others in the dinner. Due to some parts of the dinner collapsing, few people were crushed to death in front of Dale. Dale instinctively shielded Serena's body with his own. But the knockdown was so hard that she passed out. The entire church and people inside were blown into bits and buildings very close to the church were obliterated into pieces with nothing else remaining in their position other than the smell of gunpowder and blood.

Dale was in a state of panic, he was terrified of what just happened before them. They just escaped from death's grasp by a hair strand. He looked around his surroundings. Many people were dead, a few of them got hurt very badly due to the shockwave, some even lost both of their arms and are crying very loudly due to unbearable pain. Children who were just playing till a moment ago began to cry, their parents in the church were killed, they suddenly became alone in the world. They were scared much like Dale too. But what he saw next was something he never expected to see again.

From the church flaming with fire, Dale saw some figures appearing and walking towards them and the intensity of the shadows of the figure began to increase and when they reached a little bit closer towards Dale, He immediately realised who they were and what they meant.

An army of strange-looking people walking like some kind of animal with a hunchback began to ravage the streets they started to kill every single living being before them. Pets and humans were equally killed without any shred of mercy and began to eat their corpse-like some kind of animal. Their faces were lifeless, cold and their body covered with some kind of fur, they were showing no resemblance to human beings except for their figures.

"But how?!?! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!?!!
NO, NO, NO!! I AM SURE I KILLED THEM ALL!! THEN HOW IS THIS HAPPENING AGAIN?!?" Dale began to scream as he was unable to move due to his heavily injured body having no energy left after that fall.

Suddenly the military personnel and Men in Black he noticed before started to come out from their covers to plain sight. Few of them were affected by the shockwave, they too rejoined the army of military personnel after the command of their leader who was wearing a strange white uniform I saw before giving the signal

"THE COMMANDER IS DOWN!! I REPEAT THE COMMANDER IS DOWN!! INITIATE PLAN B!!
I REPEAT INITIATE PLAN B!!"

The Army began to shoot towards the strange creatures disregarding the safety of citizens. They began to plough through the creatures alongside some unfortunate innocent civilians who were in their line of fire. But just like Dale suspected, the dead creatures who dropped down dead due to the shots began to stand up again. Their wounds were beginning to heal themselves, the organs blown by the shot began to join together with them again and it pushed the bullet from the body to the outside of the creature. They began to scream towards the soldiers and began to run towards them, panicked soldiers started to use RPGs without the authorization of their leader to kill the creatures.

* BOOM! BOOM! *

They began to shot every single missile they had towards the creatures. After exhausting their ammo and killing every single one of the creatures they began to sigh with relief but their state of relief didn't last long. The Creatures who were blown to bits and pieces began to join their bones together automatically followed by the organs and at last the skin and flesh. They healed themselves very quickly and continued to run towards the soldiers screaming. Soldiers began to panic, some were even scared, some began to run away from their mission.

"What are these creatures?! Why are they not dying??!?! Oh, God! We do not have any more ammo left what are we going to do??"
"There is nothing else to do now!! We are all going to die!!"
Panic began to creep inside the group of soldiers.

But in the next instant, the creatures started to lunge towards the army and began to rip each limps off their body. The soldiers began to scream and cry in agony.

'That strength, That Regeneration, The Inhuman look in their eyes. There is no more place for doubt in my mind, It's them! But how?!'

Suddenly the Men in Black behind the soldiers began to uncover a strange weapon after charging the weapon to fire, they began to aim the weapons towards the creatures. Some sort of strange blue coloured laser beams began to come out from that weapon obliterating every single living being in front of them killing away both soldiers and the creatures. Those who were shot by them turned into ashes. Nothing else remained.

"What are you guys doing?! This was not part of the plan!! Stop this now!!" The soldiers began to scream as they were being obliterated by the laser beams.

"Apologies, Anyone who comes in contact with them must die. That's the order from our commander" The Men in Black unanimously said it in perfect synchronisation.

"I knew I couldn't trust that Bitch!!" Their leader in white shouted and began to regret about thinking leaving his wife Maria alone as he was being blasted by the laser.

They stopped their blast after every single one of the creatures and soldiers is dead. They began to pack their gears and started to return to their base. But they were stopped by the sight of a strange mysterious person wearing a black mask covering the entire face and white crosses in the place of the eyes.

"The Target is spotted, Initiating the plan to capture the target alive", The men in black said it perfect synchronisation as if they were a group of actual robots with the same mind.
They all started to run towards the mysterious figure with superhuman speed.

The Mysterious figure took a fighting stance, which was eerily familiar to Dale and he was left with no words. Suddenly few of the dead bodies of the people in the surrounding which were ripped apart by the creatures began to join the body of the mysterious person and the person's hand began to morph into a long and thick sword and with one heavy swing, the figure swept all the people charging towards him away. Then he morphed his hands back to normal. He then crossed his arms around his neck and began to scream as loud as he can. Suddenly few of the creatures lurking in the alley and the surroundings came out from hiding and surrounded the Men in Black completely. During his scream, all remaining dead bodies that were ravaged by the creatures began to morph into one of the creatures and joined others overwhelming the Men in Black. The mysterious figure then screamed once more pointing his fingers towards the Men in Black and the creatures began to attack them.

Since the special laser weapon wasn't charged after that last attack those people in black weren't able to use them.

"Proceed with the plan!"

They were forced to use normal weapons against the creatures and unsurprisingly the overwhelming number of creatures surrounded them and began to tear them apart. But instead of screaming they did nothing of the sort and continue shooting, instead of blood dripping out of their ripped limbs nothing of the sort came out apart from a strange white liquid.

'What?! ABTs (Artificial Blood Tissue)?? Not even one drop of blood?! But that means their entire body is artificially made??? Are they even human?! Or are they robots?!' Dale began to think helpless.

Dale's suspicions were cleared after the death of every single one of them, not even one cried or had blood come out from their body. Even the creatures did not attempt to eat their prey after the killing because there was nothing for them to eat. Only scraps of metal were left. They began to kill every single remaining survivor and some began to walk towards Dale and Serena. But they were stopped by the mysterious figure. The figure then just walked towards Dale and asked

"How are you doing, dale? Did you have your revenge against your father??"

Dale froze when he realised the identity of the masked person or the nightmare that he had created in his past. He unknowingly called out the name "Luca?! But how??"
