1. Event: The Collapse of World Memory

Event Name:
Memory Incident / Collapse of World Memory.
It happened suddenly, without warning, as if the entire past of the world was… erased.

Trigger:
An ancient artefact called “Memory” — an ancient artefact that can store, change, or erase the collective memory of humanity.

However, when Marry destroyed the artefact to save the world from abuse, the world spirit still sealed inside it broke and released a memory backlash that damaged the entire structure of the world’s memory.

2. What was Lost?

Collective memories of:

The history of the kingdom.The identities of the rulers and tyrants.Great crimes and wars.The existence of the Disaster Princesses (except for a few fragments).Memory-based magic technology and mind control.Artefacts, maps, archives, and records related to the old world → disappeared or became blank/unreadable.

Partial or Total Mass Amnesia:

Most humans forget who they were before a certain date.Some only forget important events, but retain personal identity.A few powerful entities (including Marry) retain full memories due to their metaphysical nature.

3. Worldly Impacts

Politics and Power:

Once hated and powerful tyrants → fall into eternal sleep or are lost to historical records.A power vacuum spreads, creating a world without a single centre of control.Kingdoms suddenly experience a crisis of legitimacy.

Religion and Ideology:

Old cults lose their doctrinal grip.New spiritual movements emerge that attempt to reinterpret the post-memory world.

Magic Technology:

Many magics based on memory and mental contracts cease to function.Artifacts and spells that rely on collective memory structures become corrupted or unusable.

4. Strange Phenomena that Appear

The Sleep of the Tyrants:
They are not dead, but are locked in a metaphysical sleep — as if the world has forgotten them and wrapped them in a “cocoon of history that fails to remember.”

Documents Disappear:

History books → empty, replaced by meaningless poems.Maps → erase certain locations from existence.Paintings, murals, and ancient inscriptions → blurred, destroyed, or turned into puzzles.

Children born after the Incident:

Have “neutral souls” — not tied to trauma or old memories.Some of them (such as the children of the mist or Caelan) are born without the old limitations of the world.

Fragments of Memory:
There are still fragments of memory preserved in sacred places, ruins of Memorials, or in the minds of certain individuals (such as Clara, after being helped by Marry). Clara, as the user of the Eye of Judgement, can read “souls” and reconstruct history that the world no longer remembers.
