Chapter 31:

Vol 2 Chapter 1: Prologue – The Misty was Seeking the Rose

Blood Rose Princess Just Wants to Live in Peace with Her Little Daughter

In the far west, on the border separating the three great powers, the Kingdoms of Rose, Wealth, and Magica, the winds have stopped blowing. The sunlight is blocked by a layer of black mist that rolls down like a curtain of death. Small villages that live without the official protection of the kingdom begin to disappear one by one, swallowed up by the eerie silence.

It is no ordinary mist. This is the Trace-Erasing Mist, a supernatural phenomenon that silences, freezes, and obliterates.

The Mist Garden and the Mystical Princess

POV: Black Mist Princess

In the heart of the mist stands a young woman, dressed in an antique-style black-and-white kimono. Her long hair is a lustrous black, her eyes a fiery red like embers. She says nothing, just stands looking at the ruins of the village that has vanished as if it had never existed.

She is the Black Mist Princess, ruler of the Mist Garden, a mysterious city-state formed after the collapse of the world’s memories seven years ago. She does not seek land. She does not seek glory.

She seeks only one person, a silver-haired girl with sky-blue eyes.

Smoke Meeting

A subordinate, dressed in misty armour and a silver mask, knelt before him.

“Your Highness, we have swallowed three villages today. But… there is no trace of the silver girl.”

“Three villages…” Black Mist’s voice trembled slightly. “Three villages already, and still no sign?”

“We apologise! We will search more widely. Give us—”

“Silence,” she interrupted, her voice sharp. “I have been generous enough. But you are testing it.”

In an instant, the mist around him curled into thin hands that choked the air. The subordinate trembled.

“Yes, Your Highness. Please… one last chance…”

After a long silence, Black Mist waved her hand. The mist retreated.

“Go. But remember, I am in a bad mood. Do not return empty-handed.”

The Country of Women and Bitter Memories

The Mist Garden was not just a place of refuge. It was the first country inhabited solely by women, all victims of the old world—deceived, abused, and banished. In Black Mist’s hands, they were reshaped. Protected. Strengthened.

With her unique magical ability, [Birth of Mist], she established a new biological system: the women of the Mist Garden could produce offspring without the involvement of men, keeping their population sustainable and “pure.”

For some, this was salvation. For others, it was fanaticism.

Longing and Wounds

That night, Black Mist sat on her mist throne, gazing at the dark sky. She opened a small box—inside it, a dull silver hair ribbon, the only thing she had kept from Blood Rose, the sister she loved, missed, and hurt at the same time.

“My sister… It’s been seven years… Are you still alive?”

“If only… I hadn’t been angry that time. If only I hadn’t tried to kill Elvyn…”

“But she… is a man. And she… stole your attention…”

Her tone changed, from gentle to bitter, from sad to full of obsession.

“I don’t need a world with men.”
“I don’t need a world without you.”
“So I will find you. And this time… I will erase the world that keeps you from me.”

Black Mist’s gaze was burning. Her left hand clenched the silver hair ribbon until her fingers bled, but she didn’t care.

“I swear, my Rose… once I find you again, the world will not be able to separate us. Not Elvyn. Not the kingdom. Not anyone.”

The black mist moved again. The next village on the list was marked. The villagers had no idea what was coming until it was too late.

Beyond the mist, it was not just power that moved. It was misguided love, festering longing, and an obsession that could destroy the world.
