Chapter 1:

What do I have to do to get some clothes?!?

Artura Porter: I Was Transmigrated to a New World and All I Got Was This Broken Storage Ability!

Artura awoke with a breathless jolt. Her vision was out of focus and her thoughts were a jumbled mess or sights, sounds, smells, and voices. The only certainty was her name. The name grounded her. My name is Artura. Or was it. No. It wasn’t. She had another name but couldn’t remember it. It was a strange sensation she was certain of her identity as though it had always been but also equally certain that she had been someone else up until mere moments before.

Nonetheless her new name was ingrained into her soul. Her thoughts slowly calmed along with her palpitating heart. Above her was a canopy of trees, she appeared to be in a small clearing within a large Forrest. Artura decided it would be best to remain calm and sift through what she knew in order to understand her current situation.

The last thing she remembered was space. She watched the red planet she’d called home grow smaller as she was sucked through the atmosphere and into the infinite darkness of a black hole and then she’d woken up here. Was she on the other side of the event horizon? Could it be a whole other planet existed within the black hole? No. Even if that were the case, Artura would have died before even leaving the atmosphere, in fact, that’s probably what happened.

So, I’ve been reincarnated? Transmigrated? Artura took a deep breath causing her chest to rise, her bare chest.

“…”

It was at this moment all other thoughts vanished. She lay against a tree, frozen. With trepidation she looked down at herself and shivered. She was completely nude.

“Am I a streaker?!?”

W-what was she doing in the middle of the Forrest without any clothes on!?! She pushed herself to her feet. Her heart started beating twice as fast as before. She looked around. There didn’t seem to be any people or animals nearby, but only time would tell. She couldn’t be walking around exposed like this.

The initial shock wore off and she began to consider her circumstances. First of all, this was not her body. This Artura had lighter skin and hair than the previous Artura. On top of that this Artura’s boobs were at least two sizes bigger. It made her want to cover up even more.

She, however, was sure that this was Artura’s body. She knew that she hadn’t looked like this until now, but it still felt like her body. The question then became whether her soul had been moved into a pre-existing body or if a new body had been built around her soul.

While contemplating this mystery she noticed a pulsing blue light in the corner of her vision, she’d been so distracted with everything else that she only just now registered it.

She focused in on the light which caused a sparkle effect that transformed into one of those voice visualizers.

“Welcome to your new life. You’ve been reincarnated yada-yada. I’ve taken the liberty of giving you one of those lame ass cheat skills, you’re welcome. It’s just storage don’t get too excited. Infinite storage, store anything you want. Do you know what a pain it is to give humans cheats? It’s such a complicated process, uggh. So I took a short cut and made you a brand new, and need I say, improved body with just a sprinkle of divinity. I’m pretty sure this world is your standard watered down medieval BS magic and swords world, probably, I didn’t look. This isn’t even my job, I govern time, the reincarnations department goes on their first retreat in 100,000 years and then this stupid black hole incident happens. Just be grateful for this second chance, okay? Buh-bye.”

“That’s it! Just an infinite storage ability. That’s like the most cookie cutter cheat skill, it’s practically a free space.”

“What do you want from me, then? Huh?”

“Wait you’re actually talking to me right now?”

“…no. This is a prerecorded message.”

“Look, I don’t even have any clothes. And it would be great if-”

“Uhhg! FINE!”

Suddenly a fitted bra and panties appeared on Artura.

“You good now? I think that settles everything.”

“No, it doesn’t!” Artura’s cheeks had turned bright red.

“End of message, click.”

The goddess literally said “click” at the end of the message. Artura was speechless. She’d never in her life thought she’d get to speak with an actual goddess and she still wasn’t sure that she had. Did she even deserve that title. Somehow walking around in just underwear felt just as uncomfortable as being completely nude. She certainly didn’t feel any less exposed.

The bra itself was extremely comfortable and actually kinda cute. It had clock designs and numbers all around it. Artura never would have picked it herself but there was a charm to it. She generally preferred her underwear to be a bit plainer but then again she didn’t really much to work with before.

A red light flashed in the corner of her eye.

SKILL: Pocket Universe (PASSIVE)

EQUIPMENT SKILL: #@#@# (Activation conditions not met)

Her skill screen appeared in front of her. There was her storage ability “Pocket universe” and an additional equipment skill. The equipment in question was probably her underwear. It was doubtful weather whatever it was would actually be helpful.

While Artura was busy pondering her skills the shrubbery to her right parted and a little green creature with a pointed face appeared. She could feel the lecherous intent behind it’s slanted pupils.

The skill screen vanished and she backed away. The creature was unarmed and half her size but it was well built. Maybe, just maybe I can take him, she thought but her hope was dashed when two more appeared by it’s side. This was definitely the time to run not fight and run she did.

Artura bolted into the woods followed by the goblins. She ran as fast as her legs would carry her which turned out to be quite a bit faster than original Artura, but still not fast enough to lose the little green perverts.

Wait, the goddess said she added some divinity when creating this body, so does that mean I might be stronger than my figure would suggest.

Artura stopped running and put up an approximation of a fighting stance. She’d never had to fight anyone in her previous life. It’s possible she took a self-defense class once upon a time but her memories didn’t go back that far.

The front goblin leapt at her. It was faster than expected and yet she managed to grab it’s arm and throw it behind her.

Artura ran at the other two goblins who weren’t the least bit concerned. She shifted her weight into her right leg and kicked with her left sending one of the goblins flying. She then stepped forward and punched the last goblin in the gut bringing it to it’s knees.

“You guys aren’t all that scary, you wanna go again?” The three goblins stood in a circle around her growling. She didn’t really want to keep fighting but it seemed as though there was little choice. The only way this would actually end is with them either incapacitated or dead. She’d never killed anything before, not even a fly, so she was a bit hesitant, but if this was the kind of world the goddess described then she’d have to steel herself and do what had to be done.

Just as they were about to get to the earth started to shake. The goblins looked around, their ears twitching in search of the source.

Their eyes seemed to widen sensing something approaching. They wasted no time in running by Artura leaving her standing there completely bewildered.

She spun around in a circle not seeing anything in the immediate vicinity and yet the rumbling was growing more intense causing her to stumble a bit. She grabbed on to a tree to steady herself. As she regained her balance something caught her eye. A large shape was coming into focus.

What is that? Wait…Holy Shit! What the hell is that?!?

Her brain could scarcely comprehend what she was seeing. Artura’s legs almost buckled at the sight of the oncoming creature. She knew what goblins were, they were trash mobs in every piece of fantasy media ever but this was something new and massive. It looked like a triceratops with a stained glass shrine on it’s back. Layers of glassy rainbow spikes protruded from it’s back. The shrine itself was roughly the size of a konbini. There was no way she could face down such a monster.

“That’s actually a baby.” A disembodied voice whispered into her head.

“A baby?”

“Yeah. You see the building on it’s back, it denotes it’s state of development. An adult would be double or even triple it’s size and have a cathedral on it’s back.”

“Wow.” The fear she was feeling was replaced with awe. She shook herself out of it realizing that she was speaking with someone but not seeing them.

“Get out of it’s way if you want to live.”

She wanted to reflexively say ‘no, duh’ but found that she couldn’t move.

“I can’t help you. Move or die.” His voice seemed very calm to the point where it sounded like he didn’t care if she lived or died.

The creature was nearly 30 meters away and closing in fast. She managed to back away and ended up falling. The creature was nearly on top of her. The ground was too unstable. Every step the Dino made left craters. She couldn’t stand up. Artura instead opted to roll away.

As she rolled she could feel the dirt getting into her bra and twigs scraping her skin. She gritted her teeth at the uncomfortable and painful sensations. This is why humans need actual clothing you dimwitted goddess!

The world was swirling and shaking, if Artura had anything in her stomach to begin with she very well may have lost it. She laid on the dirt forest floor for what felt like an eternity till eventually the rumbling subsided.

“You’re alive. Good for you.”

She sat up. The voice was back and it was being progressively more antagonistic.

“Yeah, good for me. So good, in fact, I’d like to show you in person.”

“That’s sarcasm?”

“You’d know.”

“Got it.”

“Where are you? Who are you?” She stood up and brushed herself off.

“That’s difficult to explain. It would be better if you came to me, but…” He trailed off.

“But what? I don’t have any plans!”

“I can’t talk for much longer. How about this, there’s a settlement roughly 40 kilometers to the west. That’s the left based on where your currently standing. Go there, get your bearings and I’ll contact you again in 30 days.”

“You’re actually being helpful?”

“Have I not been?” He wondered, genuinely puzzled.

“I guess you have.”

“Indeed I have. Well, goodnight.”

“Good…hold up, you’re going to sleep. You’re not going to sleep for 30 days?!?”

“Yes, it’s required.”

“You’re leaving me all alone, unprotected in the middle of this wilderness and telling me to hike 40 kilometers. There’s freakin’ monsters out here. I’M IN BARE FEET!”

“Hmm?”

“What do you mean, ‘hmm’?

“You’re a monster too, yes?”

“Hmm? I’m human” Question marks appeared over her head.

“You spawned like a monster and your anima is similar to one of the ancient ones. Not to mention the overwhelming divinity flowing from you. To call you a human would be preposterous.”

“But I’m human.”

“Very amusing…now, I must rest.”

“I said I’m human.” But she got no response. She’d been able to put a beat down on those goblins, but she didn’t feel nearly as powerful as all that. The goddess said she added ‘a little’ divinity but it sounded like a lot more.

Artura looked at her feet and she groaned. She had no real idea what her goal was going to be so heading for that settlement was probably a good start. Still, her poor feet. Maybe she could make moccasins out of goblins. Where’d those things go, she wondered.

“Ey, Goblin meat, where’d you wander off to? Get back here, now!” She locked-in to the task at hand and went in search of her chosen prey. Thus her adventures in another world began.
