A little sister's cry

What the hell do you want from me! Why go through all this trouble just for me!”

Big sister was burned beyond recognition barely alive, death might have been sweeter.

“I…I want to see you smile…” Every sentence from her sounded like agony, yet at the same time sounded just like her normal self. It made me sick.

“I want to laugh by your side.”

“W-why?”

Alice approached my fallen sister and I with the same annoying look on her face.

“I want to be your hero.”

“W-why?”

“Do I really need a reason?”

I just wanted to be the best. But now it was all going to end.

Did I have any regrets? Maybe.

I wish I could tell mother all the things I kept bottled up inside. Tell my sister that I never hated her.

Life’s unfair. 

Sister was truly the most selfish person I knew.

“The reason I became a witch was so I could leave it all behind. I’m going to leave the kingdom, and when I do, you’ll be all alone. I’m a horrible big sister—but it's for the best you'll be happier if I'm gone..."

“Shut up I don’t care! Who are you to decide what'll make me happy!” I already knew big sister would leave, All I ever wanted was for her to choose me. I only ever wanted her to be by my side, so please don’t leave me!

“I’m proud of you, Charlotte.”

I was going to let her die.

When I heard the footsteps of the witch who was going to kill my sister and me, I wanted to run, to flee.

“Charlotte run leave this to me…” My sister barely alive muttered, there was no point in dying together but…

I couldn’t leave.

For the first time in my life I begged.

“Please do whatever you want just save my sister!” On my knees I begged.

Alice, upon seeing my face, sighed.

“Jeez I just can’t bring myself to do it when you look at me like that you know? You never once asked me for anything. So seeing my precious little sister cry really is hard…”

Alice smirked, “I guess I can always save the world later, for today, and just for you, I’ll let this  be a happy end here.”

Alice began to talk to herself for a bit, she then healed all of big sis’s injuries and left. Why? I had no idea.
