BROKEN TRUST

As the royals settled in, the rustling of clothes echoed. Menisha waved at Star Awesome members, while the others didn't even spare them a glance. 

"Is it true that he was spotted on the battlefield?" Vitalex slightly twitched his eye.

“Yes, somewhat.” Amanda crossed her hands on top of the table. “During the recent fight, someone said that they noticed demonic powers.”

Shivers went down Ren's spine. Damn, the world's political situation has abruptly worsened. This war is with demons.

“But using powers in the dunes is quite difficult even for demons.” Menisha fidgeted.

"Exactly, until the use is extremely powerful." Amanda glanced over at Carlos. “And then reports of a completely white person circulated.”

“But citizens in the sand area are all dark-toned,” Carlos added.

“Finally, a white demon beast was seen as soon as the sandstorm erupted. It was reported that the beast’s sigil was right over the neck and was a heptagon.”

“A heptagon sigil means a royal demon,” Hiroto spoke in a gentle voice without eye contact with any of the royals.

“Yes, he must be the notorious demon prince Podestray, son of the late demon king.” The flame of Vitalex's hair flared.

"Prince Podestray of the demons is no doubt helping Torpedo of the sand." Amanda sighed, glancing at the other royals. "And there has been an increase in demonic activities in the Star Area." 

 Yuzuru's eyes widened; Alexander crossed his mind. Should I tell her? But if I do.
He glanced at Sen. I'd better not.
He recalled the conversation with Yao; clenching his fist, he shook.

But are we even as close as we were once? 
He noticed the crystal prince, who too stood with clenched fists.

For a split second, Carlos's colour shifted to a pinkish hue. He let out a sigh, dissolving the color back to normal. "Princess Amanda, next time let's meet in the sand dunes and rid ourselves of the menace."

"Will do!" Amanda got up with a smile.

After returning back, everyone sat eating dinner. Ever since they returned, Dacoria remained hyped about the fight.
Bet fighting is his favourite thing. Ren took another bite. Dacoria's whiny voice had finally resolved to a background noise which his ear just accepted.

Except for Yuzuru, everyone kept ignoring him. 
"So I, Damian, Shar and Philomena will go, but won't you losers come?" Dacoria laughed.
"I am not a loser but only lazy." Yuzuru shouted, his eye twitched. "Let me eat in peace!" He spoke loudly, attenuating each word.

"Nah ah, you are weak!" Dacoria poked him.
"You little!" Yuzuru shoved away his plate, getting up. Dacoria laughed and ran away.
 Yuzuru was about to go after him, but Sen grabbed him. "Aren't you being too frustrated?" 

*Ba-dum*
Who is he to talk? 
Yuzuru squinted his eyes.
I am frustrated because of Yao.
His veins pumped, and his stare intensified. He pulled away from Sen's grip. "JERK, AND WHOSE FAULT IS THIS!" 
Yes, it's all your fault; you couldn't trust me too.

Sen sighed with a smirk.
He added, "Mine?" and continued eating. 

*Ba-dum*
Arrogant bastard.
Creep
Yuzuru stood blankly while Sen ate.
He took a few deep breaths.
How can you eat while I am being blackmailed?

*Ba-dum* 

He grabbed Sen's collar and pulled him out of his seat. 

Punching him in the face.

"Y-yuzuru!" Nami got up.
Before he could punch again, she grabbed his arm. "Please, don't fight."
Yuzuru stared at her, pulling his arm out of her grip.
"Eh, Nami!" Sen called out, "This is the same guy who bullied Toby. What do you expect?" 
Yuzuru's mouth went bitter as he held back his nausea.
He – he of all people, I don't want him to say this.

Yuzuru pulled him closer. "Are we even friends?"
Sen tilted his head. "Dunno, with this behavior of yours."
Yuzuru's eyes teared up. "WHY DO YOU KEEP REMINDING ME OF MY SIN?"
Sen pat his head. "Someone has to."

*CRACK*
A million pieces shattered from within Yuzuru.
THIS THING 
THIS MURDERER
THIS  SINFUL BASTARD 

"AND YOU ARE THE SAME GUY WHO KILLED REN!" Yuzuru pushed him on the floor. 

"We will be friends forever!"

"NO ONE SAID A THING TO YOU!" He punched his beloved friend. 

"We are meant to be together."
"Yeah, we came to this world together." 

"BECAUSE YOU MADE IT SOUND LIKE IT WAS A NECESSARY EVIL!" another punch.

"Yuzuru, even if others hate you, I won't ever. What you did to Toby was out of childishness only." 

 With each punch, years of their friendship shattered. 
Why?
Because the trust died

He got on top of him, punching him.
Sen didn't resist. 
Yuzuru didn't stop.

Nami stared blankly. Why is this happening?
Sen, Yuzuru...why?

She noticed Sen stopped moving.
She grabbed Yuzuru, trying to move him away.
He pushed her away. Her back hit against a chair.

Yao's eye twitched; he got up and helped her stand.
He went to Yuzuru and pulled him off Sen. 
Slamming him against the wall.
"Is that a way to treat a girl?" Yao glared.
Yao punched him. 
Before Yuzuru could fight back, Yao slammed his head into the wall.
"Y-you!" Yuzuru cried out.
Yao smirked and began crashing him against the wall.

"Let me go," Nami screamed, shivering.
Yao glanced at her with a smile

Everyone sat laughing.
Betting on Yao to win.
Ren sat blankly. Someone stop this mess

"Stop fighting!"
Philomena entered from the entrance and rushed over to them. 
Yao glared at her but with a smile let go of Yuzuru, who collapsed onto the floor.
She looked at the others who were just laughing
She sighed

*SNAP*

The three vanished.
Nami grabbed her. "W-where are they?" 
"I sent them all to their rooms." Philomena smiled. "I will come along with you; we'll need the mud for Yuzuru and Sen."

*SNAP*

These people are crazy.
They are hopeless
I forgot Yuzuru was a bully
Sen killed me
i hate it here

Ren stared at his plate. But even I hoped Sen died.
 The world around him twisting into darkness.
He looked at the others; their voices echoed, making him dizzy. 

 "Yuzuru should have set him aflame."
"Sen should have taken out his weapon."

"Stop it."

"Huh, the fight was so boring."
"No one died."
"Yao should have tried putting on more of a fight."

"STOP IT!"

"Would have been funny if someone died." 
"Boring."

Ren got up. "Please, stop this nonsense already." With tears flowing down his face, "Is it funny if someone dies?"
Dacoria smiled, "But we don't die—"
Ren slapped him. "STOP IT!"
Ren collapsed onto the floor, his vision blurred as he mumbled, "How can this world be this pathetic?"
