Casterline wandered the nightmarish caverns of Fiaerna’s subconscious, all the while speaking to her daughter aloud along the way. She often talked to herself as a means of withholding her sanity. Her words would echo into the empty void, most times only answered by Fiaerna’s maniacal laughter.

“I dream of the day I'll break free from this hellish mindscape and find my way back to the ones I love. Your birth, the anniversaries, the cookouts, the birthdays...were they real? Am I real? I'm real, right? I was human once. I'm alive! I'm fighting to remember. I no longer possess a body, but I'm here. I have become like Fiaerna's shadow, the whisper in her ear that pulls her away from Delia's Mirror Door. Her silent sentinel, Earth's unseen protector. Please wait for me. I could never forget you. It's all that I have left, this hope. These small fragments of sanity. Visions of my beautiful baby girl. Has she turned seven yet, I wonder? I am constantly thinking of these things, thwarting off Fiaerna's wicked thoughts in favor of my own. These moments of the past that fuel me toward a future with you... But deep down I know that Fiaerna will never...let me go.
