The dungeon (5)

After the day off, a good sleep and rest after their 1st day in the dungeon. It was again the time for them to enter the dungeon.

The same slightly cold, gentleman and calming morning came. The same way Hikaru was sleeping on his bed.

:Thudd:

“Oucchhh!”

And the same way he rolled off it and hit his head.

“Again,What a great way to start the morning”

Hikaru stood up. Stretched a little and gave the bed a long stare.

“Should I add fences around the bed?......nah, what will my students think about me? It never happened when I was in my house on my bed. Well whatever”

Hikaru started his usual morning routine. Changing his clothes, looking at the boys in their houses and going for a walk around the coast, then met Requs at the park.Chatting with him and his wife a little and playing with Rene.

Rene started to open up a little with Hikaru.

Coming back from the park, taking all the students to the bath house, then having breakfast and at last going back to the dungeon.

They cleared the first floor pretty easily than their first time and went to the second floor.Second floor was new to them so they struggled a bit and made it half way to the second floor and decided to call off the day.

When they came up to the first floor Hikaru was discussing with Mahiru about how far they should go for tomorrow. Hikaru and Mahiru were walking in the middle of all the students. Some were walking far in the front.

:hissssssss:

A loud voice filled the room.

Everyone looked around to find out the source of it.

:Screeeeeeeech:

A creature looking like Griffin came out of the ground, without any hole or break in the ground. It was in front of them flapping his wings in the sky with his eyes fixated on the students in front.

“ Si…Sir isn't that a griffin? What is it doing here?”

“Sure looks like a Griffin but why is he much bigger than the original ones? “

The griffin goes a little back in air and screams

:Scrrrrrreeeeechhhhh:

The students in front start trembling . He used his mana to scare them like every other wild creature does on his prey. The vision of the students whom it was used on started to only focus on him . The only presence they felt and sense was of the griffin, which started to fill them with fear.

Hikaru ran towards the group of students in front and shouted at the students in back.

“ All of you step back. Mahiru! look after the students in the back!!”

The griffin swung his wings towards the students, His feather acted as daggers and got shot towards the student.

Hikaru comes in front of the students and makes a wall from earth magic.

“Don't just stand there like a statue, use those feet of yours and run.”

The students snapped back running towards Mahiru and others. Mai was among one of them. She trips and falls on the ground.

The griffin flies over the walls and sets his eyes on her. He dashes towards Mai. Hikaru tries to somehow stop the griffin but even before he could act, an omer dives from the room in an attempt to kill hikaru.

Hikaru manages to dodge it but the omer bounces back and starts striking Hikaru with his hand. More omers started falling from the roof. All of them had one target, Hikaru. There was no opening through which Hikaru could get away and save her.

The griffin uses his hind limbs to grab Mai. When there was no hope of her being able to dodge that, an elf cast a smoke spell around Mai and on Griffin.All the smoke went into Griffin lungs and eyes.

The Griffin flaps his wings and goes out of smoke. The elf helps Mai stand up and takes her out of there.

The griffin was not able to see anything clearly. He screamed and flew high up.

Hikaru managed to get away from those omers and ran towards Mahiru and the students. who were fighting against omers.

“Are all the students here?”

“Yes, No one is injured or missing.”

‘still let me check once again”

Hikaru took a deep breath in and shouted at top of his lungs so that everyone could hear him in all that commotion.

“Is everyone here?”

Students heard him and responded with yes one by one.

“Looks like everyone is here. can you look after the omer and have eyes on the Griffin. I will heal the injured and will try to make a way out of here.”

“Okay”

Hikaru started healing the injured students and helping them. Mahiru was killing the omers with the students.

The griffin screams again but doesn't attack or approach them and keeps flapping his wing there.

‘Why isn't it attacking? Was there anything about it in the details of monsters? Like a special kind of attack or is he calling for his other mattes? But if there were more they would have attacked us all at the same time.First of all it doesn't even make sense for them to come up on the first floor, why is this creature on the first floor?’

“Hikaru the griffin is just staring at us and doing nothing after screaming” Shouted Mahiru.

All the omers suddenly stop and don't even move a muscle.

:Hissss:

A sound filled the room and all the omers ran away.

‘Now who is it this time?’ Thought Hikaru

“Everyone comes closer to us. Tell me or Mahiru mam if you see any other creature than those omer and Griffin ”

“Sir!” Someone shouted from the students.

“What?”

“The…there is something on crawling on the ceiling”

The moment Hikaru lifts his head up,

:Thuddddd:

A snake-like creature falls from the ceiling and encircles all the students,Hikaru and Mahiru. It was Vega.

All of them blinked and they started falling through the floors one by one while the vega kept them encircled even in mid air.

All the students were screaming as they saw they were about to be hit by the ground on the next floor but they kept passing through it.

‘ If this keeps going on we will be at the deepest floors of the dungeon. I have to break his ring somehow.’

Hikaru searches for Vega’s head. He found it but he was barely able to see it because of the students in the way.

‘ It will be difficult to attack him with all these students in the way’

Hikaru tries to aim at the vega and shoots some ice blades at him. The blades went through students, slicing them here and there. Some of them hit his head while some hit his body. He gets thrown away from the blades momentum.The ring got broken, Vega fell on the floor but Hikaru and others crossed one more floor before it.

This time it was sure they were going to get hurt when they were falling at such great speed.

Mahiru raises her wand, and a thin transparent layer appears in the way of their fall. When they passed through it they started slowing down. Their body becomes light as a feather and slowly lands on the ground.
