Chapter 29:

The Fury of the Igneous Heart

ATHOMIS - A HACKER'S JORNEY INTO ANOTHER WORLD

The Igneous Heart, a volcanic cavern in Valthar’s core, pulsed like the heartbeat of an angry god. Rivers of lava flowed down the walls, illuminating the space with an infernal orange glow, while black stone pillars cracked under scalding heat. The air was nearly solid, saturated with sulfur and burning ash, and the ground trembled with each step, as if the earth itself feared what was to come. At the cavern’s center, a floating obsidian platform hovered over a lake of magma, and there stood Pyraxor, the spiritual fire dragon, in his blazing glory. His form was woven from living flames, with hardened lava scales glowing like embers, eyes burning like twin suns, and fiery wings casting sparks that melted nearby rocks. His aura set the air ablaze, creating heat waves that warped the surrounding reality.

Kaelith, the Hero of Valthar, faced the dragon, his obsidian armor gleaming with fire runes, the Blade of Wrath gripped firmly, its flaming edge pulsing with energy. His red hair danced like flames, and his golden eyes burned with fierce determination. In ATHOMIS, Kaelith was a DPS master, and here, with the Relic of the Primordial Forge—a solidified magma orb at his waist—he was an unstoppable force. “You’re the guardian, Pyraxor,” Kaelith said, his voice deep and defiant. “But I’ve come to take your strength. Let’s see who burns brighter.”

Pyraxor roared, the sound shaking the cavern, and unleashed Solar Fury, a jet of white flames that melted the floor into lava pools. Kaelith dodged with Igneous Step, moving like a living flame, but Pyraxor’s searing heat grazed his armor, leaving scorched marks. This dragon’s strong enough to deal damage, Kaelith thought, feeling the impact. But I’m stronger. He countered with Flame Tempest, a whirlwind of red fire that clashed with Pyraxor’s flames, creating an explosion that cracked the cavern’s walls. The clash was a ferocious battle of pure fire, the space around trembling, magma bubbling, and heat waves warping the air like a shattered mirror.

Pyraxor was relentless, casting Primordial Eruption, a wave of lava rising like a tsunami, forcing Kaelith to conjure Ash Shield, a barrier of compacted embers that absorbed the attack by a hair, cracking under pressure. The dragon charged, its flaming claws slashing with Comet Strike, each blow releasing spark bursts that burned Kaelith’s armor. But Kaelith, with the Relic of the Primordial Forge, channeled its power, his blade glowing with intensity. He unleashed Supreme Wrath Explosion, a ferocious attack that condensed the relic’s power into a pure fire beam, so intense it seemed to devour the light around it. The strike hit Pyraxor square in the chest, making the dragon roar in pain and crash onto the platform, its flames flickering.

“You… are worthy,” Pyraxor said, his voice like blazing thunder, rising with effort. “I accept a pact. My strength will be yours.” The dragon dissolved into a stream of living flames, entering Kaelith’s body. Dragon runes, glowing in shades of red and orange, emerged on his skin, covering his arms and chest, pulsing with primal energy. The Blade of Wrath shone brighter, and Kaelith felt his fire power double, the heat in his body now capable of melting mountains. He clenched his fists, feeling Pyraxor’s strength coursing through his veins. “Now, Corruptor… and Athos, you’ll burn.”
