Floor 20 Boss

The door loomed like a verdict at the end of the corridor, it was taller than three men, set into a frame of black metal, contrasting the white metal of of the corridor. It's surface was constructed from one seamless alloy, an obsidian like metal, with glowing power lines and ancient runes etched into it. 

At the center of the door was a glowing orb, faintly glowing blue, meaning that there was currently no one else inside, ready for a new group of adventurers to challenge the boss waiting in the room.

"Finally, the floor 20 boss room." Reiji grins cracking his neck and knuckles.

"I wonder what kind of boss it'll be." Nraltia ask, as she stretches.

"The floor 20 boss is always an Ancient Golem." Souma answers, checking his equipment.

"Oh?" Her ears twitch as she tilts her head.

"Like the rest of the dungeon, the bosses also change, but floor 20 will always be the Ancient Golem." 

"Oh the Ancient Golem? This would be the perfect boss to test your capabilities currently." Smiles the Guild Master, a hidden meaning behind his eyes. "You've also never ventured into the boss room have you Souma?"

"No Master. I've always stopped short of this room."

"Hmph. No matter what boss it is, we'll destroy it." Reiji grunts in anticipation of the upcoming fight. "Tia, Souma you ready?"

The other two nods, standing up. All three place their hand on the futuristic door, the lock pulses strongly, switching from blue to red. By the time the blinding light had disappeared, the four figures infront of the door have already dissappeared, pulled into the room by some ancient force.

Appearing in a large cubic room, the four figures are greeted by the same futuristic decor found in the rest of the Grand Dungeon, mixed in with natural rock and dirt, a patchwork room. 

At the center of the room was a giant mechanical robot, kneeling around 2 meters tall, it's entire body was made of the similar kind of metal used in the dungeon, it's design was that of a lithe humanoid, with unnaturally huge arms, twice the size of what it should be, with four thick cables dangling from its back. It's body covered in grey metal plates, protecting it's joints, it's white body covered in golden ancient runes and glowing blue power lines, it's head was shaped like a demon, with curving metallic horns sticking out of a smooth aquamarine reflective visor.

Sensing the presence of the new challengers, it powers up with a low pitch whine, pulling out the greatsword stabbed into the floor, before standing up to it's full 3 meter height.

The three figures immediately jump into formation, with Reiji and Souma at the front, and Nraltia at the back, Xenon meanwhile just walked to the back and leaned against the wall, observing the upcoming battle. 

Surging forward, Reiji lunges, ki aura flaring, Rending Strike drilling into the Ancient Golemns side, but the boss simply sways to the side, dodging it, and countering with its own attack. The greatsword slices through the air, faster than it should be, before he could react, a shadow swoops past, twin blades slashing out, deflecting it.

"Tch. It's faster than it looks." Reiji grumbles.

"Don't get careless." Souma scolds him.

Seizing the opportunity, Reiji steps in, raining a flurry of blows on the Golem, barely even denting it.

"Get back!" Nraltia shouts, as she blast a wave of Frigid Storm, battering the Golem in shards of ice, staggering it slightly. "Here, Reiji." 

A soft green light wraps around Reiji's body, Sylphs Breath, buffing his speed, allowing him to keep up with the Boss.  

Souma appears behind the Golem, with Shadow Strike, stabbing through the armored gaps, followed by a Cross Slash. 

The Golem retaliates, it's left arm swinging backwards, a energy blade forming from it's fingers, but it misses, striking at Souma's Phantom Double, while he retreated.

The three figures dance around the room, slashing, stabbing, punching and kicking the Golem, when opportunity arose, magic would blast it, staggering it. A basic party combat plan, simple but effective, whittling away at the Boss while reducing damage recieved by the party.

Sensing that the current flow of battle was going against it, the Golem strikes at the ground, shards of rock and dust, bursting out in all direction, forcing the party backwards. 

A loud engine whine, echoes outwards, as the light on the golem, changes from blue to orange. It's large arms, split apart, seperating into two smaller pair. The top right arm retrieve the greatsword, while the top left arm turns into a giant crossbow, the bottom arm pair reveals it's short energy blade.

"Tch. A second phase, really?" Reiji grumbles, already annoyed at how hard the boss is.

The Golem dashes forward, faster than before, all four arms attacking, shooting multiple energy bolts at Nraltia, disrupting her casting, while it's greatsword and energy blades, slash out at Reiji and Souma. 

Unable to evade in time, the two men put up their guard, taking on the brutal attack, their bodies fling backwards, sliding along the floor, a trail of blood raining along the path.

Gritting his teeth, Reiji activates Ki Heal, mending his wounds and HP, eyes burning with determination. 

"Tch." Glancing backwards, he could see Souma, a bad cut across his chest, bleeding non stop, but the golem was already on him, unrelenting in its assault, not giving him time to retreat.

"Dammit!" Reiji rushes forward, intercepting the attack, his aura flaring red,black and white, as he activates his Yin-Yang Ki, and Rage. His fist lash out against the blades, flurry of blows striking away the raining slashes, bearing down on him. With his power boost, he was able to fight on even footing, but it wouldn't last very long, as both Yin-Yang Ki, and Rage, continuously burns through his Ki reserve.

Seizing a gap in the exchange, Reiji lashes out with Howling storm and Stunning Blow, crushing the crossbow, rendering it unable to shoot. In exchange however, the Golem was able to stab him, both energy blades, piercing a shoulder, and a leg. 

"Argh." Howling in pain, he suffers the steep cost of the exchange, blood dripping down the grin on his face. 

A shadow drops from the sky, lightning surrounding his blades, slicing through the air, the golem blocks, raising it's greatsword, metal clashing loudly. However, the lightning snakes through , attacking the Ancient Golem, staggering it momentarily, giving Reiji the time to retreat and activate Ki Heal.
