The dungeon (9)

Swords and spells are used non stop. The bystander audience wanted to interfere in the play to help their hero's but the play was too heated, even setting a foot on the stage could burn their whole body.

Mahiru's sword was on the verge of breaking. Students noticed that when she started to avoid blocking any heavy blows of the scythe by her sword.

“Pass this sword to Mhairu mam “ a student asked the others. He continued, " At least it can help her.”

“We can't throw it from here and going close to them can be fatal.”

“I can pass it to mam” one of the students raised hands.

She controls the sword and flies it near the cage, just when she was about to lose control over it she hurled it aiming towards the gaps.

The sword manages to enter the cage. Mahiru sees it and picks it up mid action, throwing the old one at the queen.

The sword shifts the tide of the battle. The one on one battles changes to a team one. Mahiru starts protecting Hikaru from the queen's close range attacks and counterattacks. Hikaru heals Mahiru and provides support.

“ They are in perfect sync now.”

“Both of them were magicians and they were fighting them in a limited space so it was a disadvantage for our teachers but now when one of them has a sword they can support each other. It still surprises me how Hiakru sir without a wand can fight at the same level as someone with a wand.”

The pressure builds up. Just when the student thought the fight was reaching its end the queens screamed from its skulls.

The two skulls other than the one at heads fall from their bodies. The sea horse-like spinal cord strainthens itself and sticks itself in the ground. The two skulls form ice golems and buy time while the main bodies are preparing for something.

“ We have to get rid of these decoy golems, I think they are going to open the door.” points out Mahiru.

But before they could defeat those golems the queens were ready. The ice golems melt and the four skulls return to their positions. The swords and scythes turn backs to skeleton arms. Floating in the air and forming a circle while holding the ends of each arm. The queen's white robe falters in the air.

“They opened the gate Hikaru, he is coming!”

A hand comes out and holds the side of the door portal, chains clenched in those fists. With support of the hand He comes out while holding a scythe and sword connected by those chains.

A creature larger than a gorilla but with the same muscular and large body, Broad chest, short legs and longer arms. The head of pure bones with long little curved thin bones attached at the end of the chin reaching up to the chest. Standing with his chest puffed out and chin up.

“It's the Queens Guard.” said one of the elf students.

“What is he?” asked the others who didn't know.

“ Queens call him when they feel threatened. He is on par with dungeon bosses. One queen can't call him alone.Just when we thought they could win.”

The guard holds sword in one hand the scythe in another, pulls the chains behind his neck and dashes towards them. Throws the sword towards them. Hikaru lifts himself up the ground by pulling the ground up and tries to jump in the back of the guard, Mahiru tries to land an attack on his arms while dodging the sword. He blocks it with the scythe, pulls back the sword with the chain and swings it towards her sides of stomach.

Hikaru attacks his hands and saves mahiru in mid air. Mahiru takes the opportunity and lands a cut on one of his legs, falls back and heads towards Hikaru who lands behind the guard. The guard screams.

They step back to maintain distance.The guard breaks the cage using his weapons. Grabs the chains and starts swinging the sword and scythe in a circle. Hikaru and Mahiru run back a little to keep more distance.

“ He is entering rage mode. Will they be able to save us or will they leave us here to die and run away?”says one of the elves.

“Run? What do you take our teachers for?” says Mai and Enha while coming there.

‘Looks like a good time and situation to use it’ Thought Hikaru.

“ Why are you here? Were you not supposed to guard the back?”

“That area is clean as our hearts don't worry. After seeing that many dead Golems and yaks I don't think any other monster will want to come in this direction and for extra security i drawed a half magic circle around the path which will let us know if any monster comes through there.” said Enha “what was that about running away?”

“ There is no way they can win against him,” said the elf.

Mai comes closer to the elf and takes a good look at his face.

‘He is not from my class, is he from yours Enha.”

Enha comes closer and squints at him.

“Oh yeah yeah. He is from our class Mai chan”

‘She called her Mai chan, Does she have a death wish..’ thought the classmates of Mai knowing her personality.

“Was he slacking off during the classes?”

“Hahah i remember seeing him sleep in every class Mai chan”

“Eh?” Mai sighs. “What did you even come here for? If you don't know anything about our teachers then don't assume on your own that they will run away leaving their students behind.” Mai walks past him.

“ why am I even wasting my time on him let's see the teachers Enha”

“Coming Mai chan!”

‘She didn't do anything to Enha. What happened between them in that short amount of time’ thought Mai's classmates.

“So Mai chan loves her teacher huh?...”

“Don't you too?”

"Of course I do and most of our class does.”

“Right? That's why we know that…..”

“Hehahahha…..” Hikru laughs loudly “Mahiru! The cage is broken now. Take care of the queens if they aim at me and fall back when I chant my spell.”

“...they will never lose a…….”

“Okay.” says Mahiru and Flys behind the guard.

The queens see Hikaru in the sky and aim at him with their mouths.

Approaches towards the queens and swings her sword at the spinal cord stuck in ground by running, lowering her body close to ground. Manages to get one of them, she falls to the ground.The spell Mahiru used before the starting of fight was still in effect so the other one wobbled a little but didn't fall.When Mahiru turns back to attack the other one the two skulls other than the head one aiming at Hikaru aims at her and screams, which forms powerful sound vibrations and throws her back. The guard rushes towards Mahiru, spinning the chain.

The one aiming at Hikaru shoots a sharp piece of bone from her mouth. It hits Hikaru at the lower left side of his abdomen and gets stuck in there.

“.....a fight……”

Slowly starts to freeze the internal organs of Hikaru and his blood. The queen tries to shoot another one but Mahiru gets up and breaks her spinal cord.

Hikaru pulls out the sharp bone using his right hand and throws it away.

“....in which….”

The blood from hand and the abdomen starts painting the white snow in bloody red colour. Hikaru tilts backward, chants two words

“VULCAN VURTULA” and claps.

“....their students' lives are at stake.”

Mahirus dashes back. The ground below starts swirling. The ice slowly melts and lava takes its place, forming a pond of lava. The swirling continues, the guard and the queens start to sink in the lava. They tried to escape the area but a figure of lava came out. The body of a woman without any head formed purely of lava, clutches them and takes them with her in that lake of lava.

Hikaru falls to the ground coughing blood and stopping the bleeding from the abdomen with his hands.
