The dungeon (8)

Searching through every little corner of the streets of his memory, Hikaru recalls the time he first met that skeleton when landed in this world.

“You are that skeleton!” Hikaru shouts which grabs their attention.

Mahiru pulls Hikaru behind one of the several large piles of snow while covering his mouth.The students also hide behind them and peeks at the skeletons. The skeleton turned their head around, no one was in their sight. Mahiru still peeping at them Hikaru taps her hand.

“Mooofffffffhhfhh”

“Ah sorry! But you shouted too loud”

“Sorry. I was just surprised to see them again.”

“They are not seen in our continent. Is this not your first time in any dungeon on the Holy continent sir?” A student spoke of his curiosity.

“Nah, this is my first time coming to the land of the HOLY continent. But I ………. never mind.”

Hikaru thought it was a waste of time to tell them about his previous encounter with that skeleton because he would not gain any piece of information from them.

Hikaru tilts his head to get a quick glance at them. Walking in a way that gives the vibe of peace from them. The elegant way to move legs and hands which makes them look very lady-like. Sparkling their femininity in the air.

“I remembered their name! They are called The Queens of Ice.”

They were looking at the pseudo sky on the floor.Trying to catch the snow flake which falls towards them and looking at them with their gentle eyes which can only be felt and can't be seen.

‘ They are dungeon creatures right? Then why was one outside of the dungeon that day. We were either lucky or it was due to Yuki that we managed to defeat it. When I was studying some books for the academy examination I found out more about them.’

“Sir what should we do?” one of the elf students asked while looking at the skeletons.

‘Of course the elves will know about them. It's gonna be tough fight especially when we are in their niche’

Hikaru furrows and looks back at the path they came from.

“We also have to guard our backs.”

“Why don't we fight both of them and leave our backs to students. Letting them fight those skeletons isn't a good idea.”

Hikaru looks at the faces of his students.

“Cani count on you?”

“Who do you take us for?” said Mai and headed toward the trees where they came from..

“Sorry sir, she is hot minded. I will take care of her” Enha

Hikarus laughs "She is sure hot headed. Take care of her and yourself."

“Okay bye sir. Hey! Mai you are not a Dragon that can kill all of the monsters with your breath, i’m coming with you”

“Now the rest of you pay attention to the sides and inform us if any other monster is coming.”

Hikaru and Mahiru head toward the queens of ice from different directions, planning to go for a one versus one.

The queens were busy introducing nature with their beauty when Hikaru signals Mahiru.

Mahirus starts enchanting, HIkaru dashes toward one of them and fires balls at them. Both of them dodged it. Their eyes fixed on Hikaru, Mahiru finishes. A red flower blossoms between them wrapping both of them with its petals and disappears.

Hikaru summons pointed stone projectiles and fires them at one of them. It hits him but both of them suffer injuries.

It was due to the spellcasted by Mahiru earlier.

One skeleton breaks one of his fingers and drops it on the ground. The ground engulfs it.

The ground reminds everyone of its presence and brings out a cage of bone, capturing the skeleton and its opponent in it.

With no time to panic or question the situation the battle doesn't stop. Hikaru calls plant vines from ground. The vines wrap one of the skeletons and lift her into the sky. Mahiru summons a small snow beast which clings to the other skeleton, engulfing her and restricting her moments. The vines called by Hikaru pierces thorns in the skeleton.

The battles become one versus one and heavily one sided.

“It's not gonna be that easy right?” bystanders students ask themself.

“No, the queens are much stronger than they look like,” the elves answered.

The cage of bones shakes. Hands from the bones of cages come out and free the queens.

The queens scream and call a snow storm.The opponent of Hikaru breaks both of her legs, they turn into a sword. The opponent of Mahiru breaks both of her legs and they turn into a Scythe.

Flying in air using a small snow devil they charge towards their opponents. Hikaru builds a wall from ground magic in a nick of time and manages to not get hit by both of her swords. Her swords stuck in the walls. The queen spile opens the walls and continues swinging the sword at Hikaru.

Mahiru ducks before both the scythe blades can cut her head and rolls to the left side. Before she could stand up the queen uses her right scythe and manages to separate the wand from Mahiru and give her a shallow cut on the hand.The wand slides through the gaps within the cage.

The attacks continue from the scythe, Mahiru barely managing to escape each one of them.

Hikaru on the other side is busy with his opponent. Each time any one of them gets in touch with the bones in the cage their mana is sucked out and used against them in the form of ice arrows, Hands capturing their feets and illusion of the queens attack.

Hikaru finds the right opportunity and hands her a stone sword made by him. Mahiru also had knowledge of sword fighting which she gained from Sana and Hana's Father. But the sword didn't match her skills, using any advance moves will break it. She restrained herself to use basic sword moves.

“At this rate I don't think they will be able to defeat them.” said one of the students.
