Chapter 19:

Call of Abyss

Myriad Variations

[Morning\\Port Town of Basil]

The three of them have now completed their rest, back with the energy, planning to soon return. As they take their bags and finish up their last lunch in the inn they loved to stay now soon moving ahead.

With a gentle yet trying to convince voice Alicia says, "Well we came here for the quest and now just after swiftly returning without even traveling a little wouldn't that be a waste, the letter you got from as a summons from the guild postpone right? Can we not say a little longer and look around just a while bit more.... " Kyle agreeing in the background strongly nodding up and down.

Luke knows what's up, and with their cute faces just staring at him piercing deep, he couldn't do much but agree to them as they succumb to use up one more day as a layoff.

Soon planning to move and get a better view of the ocean, as they shift themselves to a embankment nearby, as the place is filled with various kinds of shops and on road vendors selling various kinds of delicacies from all over the place and more.

Enjoying their time as pleasing, they soon move outwards, as the stalls come to an end, and a beach with a beautiful sea view surrounds them on sides. The sun is shinning bright as they look uphead, the humid breezes strike Kyle's face as he fells the salty smell surrounding them.

Kyle had once felt this before when he was in his old world, as his father once took him to the beach, he was a kid back then just as he was now, yet then no memories of past he had, still feeling nostalgic and relaxed at the same time.

After so long remembering his father was a little different for him yet in a good way he took it. As they walked along, he had a bag in his hand on side his father and mother gently taking as they gazed towards him and gave off a smile.

As he walked he got very conscious all of a sudden, thinking what was even happening, everything going so great yet too great to be true he thought, again following the dilemma he had for so long it was just a sensation felt, not letting it bother him or ruin their trip he just left the thought away for a while and tried to enjoy what he currently had.

Not moments passed he walked a little of his parents, now staying a little of course as he  looked towards the waves, gently washing by, bringing shells on the sand, as he three shells one of them again taken up by the wave, the others two remained. The seagulls were chirping loud out now yet so unnaturally, with them roaming around soon the place turned dead silent, not a single creature in sight.

Moments passed, suddenly a tremor hit the place hard, Kyle trying hold himself up balancing as he looked at his parent both of them stumbling, just the same second another tremor hit with an even higher intensity, as they both started falling as Kyle watched.

The sand below started wrapping suddenly, sinking inwards with dark miasma leaking outwards, just under both of their feets.

Kyle didn't knew how to react, the situation was intense, now filling with such unsettling feelings Kyle blasted himself off towards his parents with his mana stones broken creating a castles spell blast  propelling him outwards.

Within a second the grounds below vanished, as both of his parents started to fall within, there were seconds before all of this turn bad as not thinking much, with a quick action he had option none other.

With his last remaining stones, and his bad left behind he reached his parents pushing them outwards with the blast, now himself falling below, as he heard painful cries from his mother Alicia crying out his name and Luke his father trying to grab him.

Yet it was took late, they both had been pushed out now thrown away, the mere seconds seemed a long way for Kyle, it seemed like the time had stopped itself just to let him know what was even happening, only now thinking this was supposed to happen how did he even get such a blissful life up until then was a mistake yet this was his punishment blasted upon him, for all the happy memories he created and lived with.

This was all he could think of it was wicked, he knew his life was cursed yet he tried to enjoy it, not worrying as it seemed endangering even his new parents as it seemed.

Nothing but unfulfillment he felt as he fell deep into the darkness as the gates upwards closed themselves capturing him within as he still continued to fall.

As soon gently losing consciousness as he continued to fall, yet rather float in a liquid as he felt.

A long time had passed the gates in the ground had closed and the sand returned to normal, there was not a single speck of irregularity left which could tell what have happened, just simple losing their such young and talented son who they loved to utter nothingness as it seemed, as both of them cried sitting just beside.

It was wet, slimy, it was cold something running through his cloths it seemed, seeping deep, he was cold, shivering, as he gained consciousness, he opened his eyes to see nothing but mear darkness, as he laid on the ground with bruises all over his body, and a few broken ribs, he had fallen on a hard surface it seemed colliding with a large stone nearby falling in a puddle with rock base.

It was dark, he could see a single thing, soon his eyes adjusted to the brightness, it was bioluminescent algae which gre around as he gazed sitting in the puddle, it seemed he was in a cave, a cave dark mossy and wet with ceiling fallen as he fell with it, the upwards was dark and infinite, in the mear nothingness is what he felt the urge of survival as a hope to life and escape a tunnel, a child could fit in, was visible, it was dampened yet he felt a joy he never felt before. The place was dark and satire, silent and uncanny, yet his urge was not yet gone.

As he tried to get up, but seems his ribs gave up, a feeling of sharp thrusting pain is what he felt as he fell of ground yet again.....
