RECLAIM

I had returned to the Umrael Kingdom, but I left Kuragari to make way and stay back. Silvaren was already about to address the nation in a few days, so I told him to bring that date back so we would have it today. He was shocked to see me return so fast but agreed to it. While waiting, I went to see Elia. She was in the process of making something.

"Hey Elia, What you doing?"

                                                                         "Rukito! You finally back? Wait , I got something for you."

Elia pulled something that looked like wings and gave it to Rukito, saying , " This will allow you to fly, but it's not some simple artifact. No, it can fuse with the user and will fly them ten times the person's running speed. It has an aether crystal in it that saves the user's energy consumption; not only that , because of its aether crystal, you can fly with it even if you are out of aether. It's also self-repairing, so no need to worry about it breaking. It's tailor- made just for you, so you will have to try it out first." Rukito is impressed with what she just made. It's not something he could pull off, as he's not the best in scientific magical artifacts.

After thanking her for it, she helped me put it on, which was quite easy. It attached to my back; it felt like it merged with me. After a minute or so, I was able to feel and control the wings as if they were my own. Just by using my mind, the wings lifted me up in the air. For the first time, I was flying. In my life, flying was something I had always wanted to do, but even in a world with technology, they only really had planes, and that's not the flying I wanted. I wanted to fly like Goku, but I guess flying with wings is more realistic.

Just as Rukito had that thought, his wings were disappearing. They turned invisible. After flying for a bit, Rukito noticed and was surprised as Elia forgot to tell him it could change color. Rukito was enjoying himself . As time passed, he began flying faster and faster. Just then, Silvaren came to call him. Rukito totally forgot about it as he was focused on flying, but he came back down and asked, "What happened?"

                                                                     "You wanted me to address the nation today and officially make you the king."

"Oh yeah, that, I forgot. Sorry . Anyway, getting down to the subject, what do I need to do ? "

Silvaren tells him that first he will announce that a new king was picked by the world tree and everyone needs to welcome him. Rukito understands most of it and gets ready for it. Elia asks what happened, and Rukito tells her the situation. He tells her not to worry about the war, as she should stay home and maybe create some weapons for the rest.

I, as the new king, need to give a good speech. Something to gain the people's trust and also show them I have what it takes to be king. Some may not like the idea of starting a war when they have had hundreds of years of peace. But the elven nation and my goal can be said to be similar. The ones here have an easy life, so they don't understand, which is why I need to give them a reason to hate the Heber Empire. All this depends on one speech.
One must not start a war they can't win, which is why I not only found out information on their strategy but also took away all their chances of winning; therefore, no lives will be lost, and we will gain. But knowing is one thing... That's right, I think I got it. I'm ready to give a speech.   

Elia has made all the things I asked her to make. With her talent, the items she created will help end the war quickly . One thing that's very troublesome is the number of soldiers in the Heber army. If it were not for that, I could have wiped the kingdom out. But as I am right now, there's no large-scale attack that can kill 1,000 men at once . At most, my White Vacuum could potentially kill 300 master-level threats if I catch them off guard, but who would lower their guard in a war?

Rukito changed clothes and donned a kingly attire. He went over what he needed to say once more before being greeted by Tamma, who stopped by. She wished him luck before he set off to the hall.
In the Elven nation, a new king is always announced by the former one. The former king and his bloodline, if they do not inherit the throne , do not fully shed their royalty but rather become nobles under the new rule. That status will last five generations and even longer, depending on the value of the family's worth. This way, there's no fighting over the Word Tree's pick, as this system requires only one in the generation to be chosen by the Tree. The catch is not knowing how long the king's rule will last.    

Silvaren starts by addressing the nation and says, "We elves have always relied on the World Tree that randomly picks a king. Most believe that the next king will only be appointed if the old one does not do his job right. Most of you have forgotten, as it has been many years since the last time a new king was appointed. With me as ruler, we have lived a good life. We will always stay that way, but the World Tree picks the right king to rule at the right time. I will now introduce the new king chosen by our tree, King Rukito; you may take it from here." Most people have forgotten this custom, as Silvaren ruled for generations and was the longest to rule in history. Many are shocked , curious, and skeptical as to who or how the new king will be, but ultimately they will trust in the tree.    

Rukito goes on stage as the aura of the tree emits from him, showing the citizens that he is indeed the new king. What will he say, and how will he get everyone on board with his ambitions as their king ? He seems confident in himself as he is now about to address his country.
