Chapter 1:
The Random NPC shouldn't get involved, right?
"AAAHHH!" I woke up. "Just a dream. Really thought I died there when I slipped. Phew."
I stayed up late last night playing my favorite game, Reverie of Heroes. The last thing I remember was me going to the bathroom and slipping on something. Fortunately, that was just a dream, seeing as how my head doesn't hurt and I'm on my bed instead of the floor.
"Wait," I looked around my room, or what I thought was my room. "Where am I?" I quickly got up from the bed.
This room looked like that of a college dorm room, although there was only one bed for me, it seems. The interior was quite fancy, unlike that of your average college dorm.
I went to the bathroom and there I saw it. My face. No. Someone's face. It wasn't mine, but it could only be mine. A young man's face. A high schooler?
"Wow. Handsome face. Soft too."
I quickly used the bathroom and went back to the bed and sat down.
"Okay," I said out loud. "I'm guessing that wasn't a dream, and I died when I slipped. I'm now in the body of this guy. Now, the question is, what do I even do?"
It was at that moment, a sudden rush of memories filled my head.
My name is Hale. Hale Palmer.
"I see. You're just like me. I don't know what happened, but I'll be taking control of your body now, Hale. Sorry, and thank you."
Hale. A new student of Legend Slayer Academy.
"A student of Legend Slayer Academy, huh. Wait, a student of LSA?"
Isn't that the school in... I quickly got up from the bed and looked outside the window.
A world of fantasy laid before my eyes.
WOOOAAAHHH!!!
Is what I thought I was going to think. Everything looked pretty normal. The buildings were that of the English medieval style, and there was a big building in the distance. It was a building I could recognize anywhere.
Legend Slayer Academy.
It seems I was right. I'm in the world of Reverie of Heroes. A world where heroes are born to fight evil, and I just so happen to be a student at one of those places that foster heroes.
If I'm a student of LSA, that means I've awakened an ability, right? That means I should also have a status.
"Ahem. Status."
Suddenly, a status window of my personal stats appeared in front of me.
[Hale Palmer]
STR > 6
MANA > 4
END > 3
AGL > 4
DEX > 3
Aren't these stats too low?! How did Hale get into LSA with these stats? What about my trait?
I checked below my pathetic stats to see the ability that explained everything.
[Master of Weapons]
<The user is able to wield all weapons with high proficiency
Legend Slayer Academy was a place that fostered talents. Even with such low stats, they can always be trained later, but a trait this strong is pretty rare among awakened.
With a trait this strong, how come I've never heard of Hale, before? But then again, even if this trait is considered strong, there are many other traits that are beyond [Master of Weapons], especially for this year if Hale's memories serve correct. Also, it's not like the game focused on every single student.
"Phew. Let's leave it there and get ready."
I opened the closet included in the room to find a school uniform and changed into it. The material was super flexible, making it feel as if I was wearing regular everyday clothes. The clothing seemed to be tailored made for me with everything fitting perfectly. As expected of LSA!
I looked out the window once more and see students start walking out of the dorm gate.
"Let's get going. Can't be late to our first day of school, after all!"
