Chapter 2:
Memories from Spark
Next thing I remember was her feet on my chest. Her messy hair was all around and the smell of alcohol soon explained it all. I tried to get up but somehow I ended grabbing her feet instead. It tickled her and she kicked me out of the bed. My head met the hard wooden floor.
Half awake, she mustered what I interpreted as a "goodmorning", but soon Neroli rolled back into the sheets. Bearing with the headache, my dry throat guided me to the tap. Her whole room was a completely mess. You would think a tornado passed and went into a rampage inside. For some reason I couldn't find a glass. So instead I took the less dirty bowl and filled it with water.
Up till now, I didn't had peace to think much about the whole situation. Is it real? What was the point in my effort back there? Carefully I made my way back to the bed and sat down. She was hugging a pillow and soon replaced it with me. Her warm arms reached me from behind as she leaned on me.
— I can't... —Every command on my brain's terminal is blocked. They must have removed my permissions before.— But why?
— Hmm? —Her slow breath tingled my ear.— Wanna grab something to eat?
— Sounds fine.— I can't think while hungry.
— What! Why are you drinking from a bowl? Glasses didn't exist back in that world of yours?
— Where are your glasses? —She bite my ear and stood up. The soft feeling of her chest against my back was sadly gone.Next to the tap, on the countertop she pressed her palm against. Soon, something clicked from the near backsplash and something like a drawer popped out. She took a glass from it.
— Dum— It is amazing! —I rushed my way trough the mess and took a glass from the drawer.
— Welcome to modern times big boy. Bewitness one of the last century's invention, the spatial storage. I'm sure it amazed my grandparents as well. Hahahah! —She pounded my back as if she didn't had ever anything as funny as my reaction— Ah man, you fully awoke— she added while wiping a tear of joy from her eye.
— Is it that common?
— Yep. Anyway, lets go. I'm starving! —She rushed into a door which revealed a bathroom inside, palmed the mirror and popped out a different drawer from where she got a comb. How her room is such a disaster if she has this tech? I reached her and used the tap to wash my face.
— Is that soap? — I pointed a bottle on the drawer.
— What is soap?— Oh, Neroli, lady of tech. Soap is ancient alchemy people used to wash their bodies.
— Oh, really? —Wait, she is taking it literally?— You know, its something you rub over your wet skin. It makes white foam while gets the dirt out of you. So you wash it over with water and 'tada', you are clean now.
— I see. You want a cleaner... —Why the sudden change of tone?
— Yes, I need to be clean
— Mika... then I suppose you can use my blob. —Almost red, Neroli took out something like a rock from another hidden compartment.— But listen, you... You can't share a blob with anyone else! Its something you use with your whole body...
— Alright, I promise. —She took my hand and rubbed the blob on my palm.— So, it's also something to rub over my skin?
— Yes. Rub it over your whole body while pressing it like this. —She grabbed my hand and made me rub it over her arm. Blushing, she said— do it gently.
— Like this?
— Yes! —She couldn't handle it and buried her face on my chest.— Later I'll lend you my hairwasher. —Squirming, Neroli grabbed my arm with her spare hand so hard she dug her nails in.— Ahhh... just like that.
— Neroli
— Don't stop, keep goin!
I was drunk last night, but I remember we gone all the way together. Where has gone her bold attitude? I'm just washing her arm!
