Chapter 11:

Catholic Unicorns

A School Christmas Story

James was in his room playing destiny. Sounds of guns and war filled the room with the stomping of feet. War cries and the screams of aliens cut into the constant gunfire while aliens of all kinds exploded. When it came to video games, James was equal opportunity. He didn't care about one race of species over another. He just killed them all indicrimitly.

After slaughtering a few thousand species, James got bored, and decided to get some food from the hall of blandness that was the cafeteria. He walked through the barren hallways of the same color until he got there.

In the cafeteria, John Paul was sitting with Emma and Lee. They were looking over some sort of white map. James walked over to them and saw more about the map.

It was white, with a giant grey square like object in the middle. It listed things like elevation, weather patterns, and amount of snow for about a mile or so. It was a map of the school and the surrounding areas. It looked like it was made by hand. It was probably made by someone who looked outside the windows and never actually went outside in the cold.

John Paul saw James and called him over. “Hey dude, I met to call you out of your room. Look at this.” He said while pointing at the map. “I was thinking that I would have you all go outside again to get used to the terrain around the school. Afterall, there's no guarantee that we will fight Dommy inside the school with working heating around us.”

“Wait wait wait. Do you remember last time we went outside?” James asked

“Yes, and I had to save your buts. It will be ok this time though. I will be with you this time. Plus you guys will get some experience. I have a feeling that it will turn out to be important.

James sighed, and realized that what John Paul was offering was not a choice. He followed them through the hallways to the entrance of the building after grabbing his coat from his room

John Paul was there with four unicorns. They were white with light blue sparkles scattered on their body. They also had pale white horns that stuck out from their foreheads. The most noticeable aspects however were the giant crosses on the unicorns sides.

“How do you like my catholic unicorns” John Paul asked

Lee screamed, and ran over to the unicorns. She immediately shoved her face into one of them, muttering about how it was so fluffy or something that sounded like that.

While this was going on, Emma calmly got on one of the unicorns. She had obviously done horse riding before.

“This is going to be great!” Said Emma. “Hey John Paul, what kind of magic did you use to create these?”

      “That's not important”

“Ok. Anyway. These are going to be useful. We can ride these wherever we want, and whenever.” Emma said.

“Oh no. We're never going to use these again. Better yet, these unicorns are never going to even be mentioned again.” Said John Paul.

Lee looked confused. “Wait? Why are we never mentioning these extremely useful Catholic unicorns of unknown oregon.”

John Paul laughed. “Simple. Because I asked about making a last minute chapter, and this is the best thing that someone came up with.” He started daggers at Emma for some weird reason.

“Whatever. Let's just get this over with.” James jumped on the unicorn, and after his sixty ninth attempt, he made it on top. The Catholic unicorn neighed when he got on. Its cry sounded sort of like a church bell.

They went outside, passing straight through the walls with power John Paul called “Screw this chapter.” James had no idea what he ment. “It's John Paul. No one knows what he is thinking.” James thought.

The Blizzard outside immediately hit James when he finished phasing through the wall using catholic powers. However, he didn't feel as cold as he thought he would. A magic catholic force field was eminting from the Catholic unicorn, making the temperature closer to a respectable fifty degrees american. The Blizzard also couldn't pass through the Catholic force field, making it so James could see farther ahead than he could before, not that that changed the scenery that much.

They walked through the storm, John Paul, being the brave and perfect person he was, taking the lead. Suddenly, John Paul stopped. “Ok then. There's a few wild reindeer around three hundred feet ahead of us. I want you guys to blast them out of existence using your powers.”

“Hey John Paul, we don't know how to use our powers yet.” Said James

“Yeah. To be honest, i still don't really know the difference between catholic and prodistant.” Lee chimed in.

John Paul slapped his face.“That's my bad. I forgot that I'm not teaching you until the next chapter. For now, just take your unicorns, and charge at the reindeer. They should take care of the rest.”

“What is with John Paul and his charter crap?” James wondered.

Emma was looking really confused at what John Paul was saying. “I'm not sure how different unicorns and horses are, but i dont think these unicorns can just handle it with no problems.”

“Oh there are Catholic so there won't be any issues” John Paul said.

Emma didn't look satisfied, but didnt say anything as John Paul moved his unicorn behind them, sort of like a general in the civil war. Specifically the civil war.

      “Ok then gooooo!”

The Unicorns charged at John Paul's words towards the great unknown in this wintery heckscape. They went through the snow vallently and their hoofs crunched the soft snow beneath their feet. Eventually, James saw a pack of reindeer in the distance. As their group got closer, he saw that one of the reindeer, the one that looked younger than the other ones, had a bright and shining red nose.

James’s unicorn targeted the one with the red nose. It put its head down, and stabbed its pure white horn into the heart of the reindeer. The reindeer died instantly, and the unicorn threw the corpse into the now red snow with its blood soaked horn.

All around James, the other unicorns did the same thing. It was mass genoside. There was no other way to describe it. James could only sit on the back of the unicorn and watch, unable to look away.

After all the reindeer were slaughtered, John Paul came over to look at the results.

“Well, I think that this makes a good chapter. Welp, I think it's time for the next one to start, and to never mention this monstrosity again.”

Before James could say anything, John Paul snapped his fingers, and the world faded to black.
