In another world

Warmth.
That’s the first thing I feel.
Not pain. Not the cold pavement.Just warmth. Sunlight. Grass. A soft breeze.
And something else. Something heavy resting on my chest.
I opened my eyes.And instantly forgot how to breathe.
A blue sky—too blue. Like it had been painted by a god who was showing off.Floating islands in the distance. Trees with glowing leaves. Giant birds soaring across the horizon.
“Oh hell no… I’ve been dropped into an anime, haven’t I?”
I sat up—instinctively expecting blood, pain, broken ribs. Nothing. I felt… new. Lighter. Stronger.
I looked down at my hands—No wrinkles. No calluses. Just youthful fingers and clear skin.
“What the—am I… young again?”
And then I saw it.
Resting on my chest—was my camera.
But not my old scratched-up DSLR.This one was glowing faintly. The lens shimmered with a golden hue.The leather strap looked stitched with silver thread.
“…Okay. This is either a divine gift, or a cursed artifact. I’m hoping it’s the first one.”
I lifted it up—click.Accidentally pressed the shutter.
And in that moment—everything in front of me froze.
I blinked. The trees. The wind. The falling leaves. Even the bird mid-flight.Time had stopped.
“What the actual—?!”
Then a soft hum came from the camera.A voice echoed from within it—“Captured. Reality stored.”
I stared.My camera… just paused time.
“…Holy crap. This is better than a Pulitzer.”

I stood up, still in awe.In the distance, I saw a village with buildings made of crystal and wood. Smoke from chimneys. People walking around in cloaks and armor.
Yup. Definitely not Earth.But somehow… I wasn’t scared.
There was something inside me—power.Magic? Maybe.But it felt familiar. Like the same feeling I had every time I held a camera and saw something worth remembering.
Only now… I could do more than remember.I could change things.
