Chapter 3:

End of forest battle

Unprecedented illusionist

“It’s time to go i guess”

After feeling my energy return, I decided to move away from this forest, even though the battle was not yet over. I resolved to head back to the ruined village, since at the very least it was safer than here.

But as I began to turn my body, I realized a massive shadow was looming over me. When I slowly turned my head, what I saw was the Flying Titan—the very one I knew had been split in two—now fused back together.

“What!??? How!!!??”

The Flying Titan had rejoined its body, though not perfectly, and the sight of this monster filled me with dread. Its form was not fully fused, leaving its organs exposed, and its stomach—stuffed with human corpses—made me shudder in horror. The Flying Titan immediately seized me, crushing my right arm before biting off my left arm entirely.

“AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!”

I screamed, and at that moment my body was lifted up as the monster opened its jaws wide, preparing to devour me. The creature declared that it would eat me alive.

“IIIIIIIIIIIII EEEEEAAAAAAAATTTTTTTT YOOOUUUU AALLLIIIVEEEE!!!”

“NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

My body was drenched in cold sweat, and without realizing it, I wet myself as it shoved me into its mouth. Unbeknownst to me, instead of being twisted in terror, my face wore a grin. The surge of adrenaline and the looming presence of death drove me to madness.

*Nomb*  *Nomb*

The Flying Titan forced my body deeper into its mouth. I tried to hold myself back with both legs, pressing against its jaws, but it refused to give up on swallowing me whole. Shoving its hand into its own mouth, the monster pushed me toward its throat.

''Dammit!! This guy is too persistent!!!"

My balance began to falter, my strength weakened, and at last I was dragged into its throat. Inside, I did the same as I had in its mouth, resisting as best I could, but it shoved me deeper again with its hand.

“This guy is crazy! You’re even shoving your own hand down your throat!!!?”

At that moment, I began to lose all hope. Flashes of my life appeared before me—a life I could not be proud of. The dreams and goals I had cherished since childhood had never come true, not a single one.

''Is this the end of my life? I can't accept this! I just got a chance to another world!! I MUST LIVE!!!"

Reality would not change just because I wished it to. In the end, I was swallowed by the monster.

*Thud*

I found myself in darkness, my body broken, lying atop a heap of corpses waiting to be digested. My emotions were a tangled mess, to the point where all I could think about was my past and what I could have done to fix my life.

“Ahh, that’s right. If I had bought Fullcoin back then, I’d probably be on vacation right now, laughing without a care on my private boat.”

“I really should confess to Ava when we still in high school. I wonder what happen to her right now.”

“Youth, huh? If i have more clear goal back then will my future become better? I mean my dream is to become some superhero that save peoples but to think i still lingering on those dream till i’am in high school is not good thing to do.”

“I wonder, what is my parents doing? They probably watching tv together on the cozy couch right now.”

“Mom, Dad, I’m sorry! I couldn’t becoming a better child to you and I couldn’t make you proud and now you can’t touch the body of your child who soon gonna devoured. I’m sorry, i’m sorry, i’m sorry.”

My body slowly began to sink into the heap of corpses as tears streamed down my face. I gave up on this life.

But when I opened my eyes, I was shocked—I was no longer in the dark, cramped space of the monster’s stomach. Instead, I was in a vast white expanse with nothing beneath my feet, my body floating in midair. My form was whole again, free of wounds—even the arm I had lost had returned to its original state.

“Where am i!? Wait am i flying right now? Is this the same place that i come to earlier? Or is it a afterlife i mean with how situation I end up with, death should be inevitable.

I looked in every direction, and when I turned around, I was struck with shock and awe. It was me—yet enormous, around a hundred meters tall, with a body devoid of color.

“What is that? Is that me? Or perhaps a being that resembles me?”

“Even so, my feelings, my body, and my mind all convince me that the figure before me is myself.”

For a while, I simply gazed at it. I felt calm and protected, as though I were wrapped in a warmth I could not describe.

As I continued staring, I didn’t notice when its hand began to shine, releasing a single word that floated in the air.

“Eh… What is happening?”

I began to make out the word glowing in its hand and tried to approach it, walking step by step. Though I was floating, I could still walk as if I were treading on solid ground.

After approaching the word, I began to read it, and it said Illusion.

“Illusion? Does that mean all of this is an illusion?”

When I touched the word, my body began to shine brightly, and I realized—it was my power. The ability to create illusions. A smile spread across my face as I understood that I had finally gained this strength.

“Illusion creation, huh? This isn’t the power I thought I would get, but I’ll use it to the fullest!”

I closed my eyes, and when I opened them again, I was still inside the stomach of the Flying Titan.

‘Is that place just an illusion? No! That place is not illusion!”

The Flying Titan that had swallowed me suddenly had its stomach split open. With all my strength, I kicked at the bones near the tear in its belly, widening the gash even further.

“GUWWWAAHHHHHH!!!!!!”

The monster howled in agony as its abdomen split apart. I unleashed twelve powerful kicks, and finally, with the thirteenth strike, I managed to tear my way out of the damned beast.

“You really make me sick! But now—it’s the end for you!”

The Flying Titan immediately tried to seize me, but by then I had already activated my ability. It didn’t realize that what it had grabbed was actually a sharp boulder disguised by my illusion.

The Titan devoured the stone with tremendous speed—but that very action became its downfall. With such velocity and a jagged rock ripping through its insides, its death was inevitable. I watched it all unfold in silence, without uttering a single word.

“YYYYYOOOOOUUUUU MMMMAAAAKKKKEEEEE MMMEEEEE MAAADDDDDD IAAAAMMMMM GOOONNNNNAAAA EEEAAAATTTT YYYOOOOOUUUUU FFFFAAAAASSSSTTTTT!!!!!”

“GGWWWWAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!”

Blood poured from its body as the rock pierced its throat. Watching it made my skin crawl—I had never witnessed a death like that before. But I didn’t have much time, so I began thinking through every possible way my ability might work.

“I tricked him into seeing that rock as me, and it worked. If that’s the case, then I need to figure out how to affect my opponent with this power. Is it through contact, or does it just activate whenever I will it?”

I spotted another Flying Titan, this one weakened and on the brink of death. It had already lost one of its arms, so I decided to test my ability on it. I had to act quickly—otherwise, I’d be dragged into the war raging among the forest monsters.

I tried using my power by simply willing it to happen, but nothing worked. I moved closer and tried again, but still, it didn’t activate. Finally, when I made physical contact, my ability surged is activate.

“Good, Now i know how to activate it.”

I make an illusion of him winning the battle and manage to catch me even though the thing he grab is just a broken bone while he see me as his companion.

The flying titan doesn’t notice anything weird and he not look me with malice on the other side when i see to the battlefield, some monster is trying to attack me. Fortunately, the flying titan protecting me using his punches which resulting death. To the attacker.

I looked around the area and realized there were many monsters on the brink of death, so I decided to use my ability to bring this battle to an end.

“To be honest, I want to run away from here… but I’m too tired of doing that. It’s time to finish this battle.”

I cast an illusion upon them, making them unaware that they were actually dying. In an instant, I had dozens of monster soldiers under my control. My plan was to have them attack in every direction, while I, along with the Flying Titan, tried to move closer to the stronger monsters.

“Let’s go!” I shout.

The battlefield, already in chaos, became even more frenzied as the illusion-stricken monster army attacked wildly. Countless roars and cries filled the air, and with everyone’s attention scattered, the Flying Titan carried me in its hand and soared into the sky. It flew swiftly, while my legs brushed against countless monsters below. My body should have been wracked with unbearable pain, yet strangely, I felt nothing—as though my emotions had risen beyond the limits of pain itself.

More and more monsters fell under my ability, though many also lost their lives. From giant flies with diamond-studded tails, to lizards capable of splitting themselves apart, to five-headed lions, owls that produced deafening screeches, and even the very first winged serpent I had encountered—I managed to bend them to my will.

With the power of my illusion, I directed their focus onto one target after another. They attacked exactly as I commanded, brutally tearing into their enemies: the horned horses, the glowing blue tiger, the fire-bodied bear, the three-horned bull—even the orange dragon was not spared from their onslaught.

One by one, the monsters fell, and in just ten minutes, the battle ended—with victory in my hands. I noticed the orange dragon still clinging to life, though barely, so I approached it. Just as I drew near, the dragon exhaled its final breath.

Suddenly, its body shifted into a radiant light, taking the form of a serpentine dragon.

“Its body… it’s transforming into light!?”

The brilliance was so intense it hurt my eyes, forcing me to shut them tightly. When the light finally began to fade, I slowly opened my eyes again to see what had happened.

“Nothing happen? Is those light suppose to do something?”

The light began to move slowly, and without warning, it suddenly shot toward me with incredible speed—so fast I couldn’t even react. It forced its way into my body, and the moment it entered, I felt as if I were burning alive.

“Ughhhh!!! My body is burning!!!”

“Ahhhhhhh!!!”

After a while, my body began to return to normal. I quickly inspected myself and found that my right arm had healed, while the bleeding on my left arm had stopped. My strength had also returned—just like it was when I first arrived in this world.

“Is that a healing power!?”

“My stamina is restored and my body is  healed. This is incredible! My body is like being refresh but i guess it power couldn’t restore a losing limb.”

“I wonder, is this power is embedded to my body or not?”

“Don’t tell me that this is just one time thing? If that’s the case then it’s shame.”

I put an end to my thoughts and decided to return to the first village. I had also made sure that there was still one monster I could use—the Flying Titan, which remained trapped in my illusion. I commanded it to carry me through the skies back to the ruined village.

“Bring me to that village!”

“SSSSUUUUUURRRRRREEEEEE”

It carried me in its hand along with the bones it had gathered, then swiftly flew away from the battlefield. After some time, we finally arrived at the ruined village. I then began asking about the regions where humans lived.

“Where did the other human live anyway?”

I say it nonchalantly make it seem that i'am is one of his companion.

“ ITTTT’SSSSSS IIIIINNNNNN TTTTHHHHEEEEE SSSSOOOUUUUTTTHHHH FFFROOOOMMM HEEEREEEE.”

“South? Huh, how many human in there?”

“IIIII DOONNTTTTT KNNNOOOOWWWWW.”

“ALLLLL III KNNOOOWWW IIISSSS TTTHHHHHATTTT MMMMANNNYYY HUUUMANNNNN LIVVEEE THEEEEREEEE.”

“I see, let’s go to that place.”

It carried me in its hand once more, while the bones it had picked were placed into its mouth. On the way there, i organize my thoughts and questioned myself—was everything that had happened real, or was I merely hallucinating? I remembered how I had tried to end my life by jumping from my apartment.

“Is all of this real, or just a dream? This day is something I never could have imagined in my entire life. Considering the state of my mind this past year, I fear that all of this is nothing more than an illusion.”

The bleakness of my life over the last year had driven my mind to the point where I was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Even knowing that, I had still embraced it. My thoughts began to sink deeper and deeper—until, in that very moment, the monster said something that snapped me back to awareness.

“WWWEEEEEE GGOOOOONNNNAAAA AAARIVVEEE SOOOONNNN”

“Hahh… what am i doing? I must focus right now! Alright we go down right now.”

“YEEESSSSSS!!!”

In the distance, about a kilometer away, I saw a grand white castle—leading me to conclude that the place I had arrived at was a kingdom.

“A kingdom, huh… I wonder if they’ll let me in or not?”

After we landed on solid ground, I began walking away, leaving the Flying Titan behind. The creature danced with joy, knowing it would soon feast on more humans.

“YEAAAHHHHH III GOONNNNNAAAA EEEAAAATTTTT MMMOOOOORREEEE BBBUUUTTTT NNOOOWWW III GONNNAAA EAAATTT THISSSSS PERSSSSOOOONNN FIIIRRSSSTTTT!!!!”

The monster said this cheerfully while clutching the bones it carried. It shoved them into its mouth greedily, like a starving man—but as it bit down, the bones pierced its face, killing it instantly.

I walked calmly toward my destination, muttering to myself,

“I really hope they let me in.”
