Chapter 10:

The Forbidden Forest

Revenge in another world

The sun filtered through the branches of the forbidden forest as Aria, Lysbeth, Nara, and I advanced with caution. This place was not only known for its density, but also for the appearance of high-level monsters that were rarely defeated by common adventurers. I felt adrenaline coursing through my body; every step brought me closer to strengthening my power and determination for vengeance.
"We must stay united," Aria indicated, with her hand on the hilt of her sword. "Here, any mistake can cost us our lives." I carefully observed the area. My experience from the previous world had taught me to analyze patterns and anticipate movements, and although this was a new environment, my mind worked with surgical precision.
Piko floated nearby, illuminating the paths and signaling dangers that the human eye might overlook. Suddenly, a roar shook the forest. Several creatures emerged from the underbrush: giant wolves with black scales and red eyes that shone in the shadows.
I took a deep breath, remembering the anger that had brought me to this world. "We can't turn back now," I murmured, and in an instant, I coordinated with my companions. Lysbeth cast a light spell that partially blinded the wolves. Nara attacked with agile magic from strategic angles, and Aria covered the rear guard while I advanced with lethal precision.
The battle was intense; I combined body, sword, and magic impeccably, taking down enemies with fluid and calculated movements. Every blow and spell carried a spark of my contained anger, and the wolves that stood in my way fell before my power.
In the end, the forest fell silent, broken only by the group's ragged breathing. Aria looked at me with amazement. "Kaoru... your strength continues to grow at an incredible pace." I allowed myself a moment of reflection while looking at the sky through the trees: "Every challenge makes me stronger... and every victory brings me closer to the vengeance I seek."
