My name is Ren Ishihika. I am your average person, socially awkward at times. I am a shift lead at a postal service call-down. I’ve been there for three years now. My co-workers seem to respect me, despite my being socially awkward. When I get anxious, I tap my foot, or when I sit, my leg shakes up and down.

I cannot wait for Adventure Life. I will use most of my sick days to play it and become a hero. Heck, I used to play this tycoon game simulator. It brought my mind to ease.

The next day I woke up optimistic, trying not to drag myself down, given this job takes a toll on you. I headed off to work, handling an important task. While I was checking the inventory of the packages, I got a notification.

I got excited, even too excited, so that my co-workers looked as if I was not okay. My shift was almost done, so I was going to get some soda and food to grind this game to be the very best. I arrived at home, cracked open a soda, and ate; after that, I put the headset on.

Why am I a farmer? I picked an archmage. I still had my dark magic. My stats were low but decent.

Oh well, the breeze from the wind rattled the trees, so I hurried to find shelter. There wasn’t any place to find to sleep. My first boss battle would be the hollowing breeze from the trees.

My very first battle was very interesting.

I lay down by a tree, battling the harshness of the cold blow. I was shivering all night. The next day I got up and wandered around, and I saw some goblins, which I thought would be low level. But nope, I was wrong.

It feels like I am zero for two in this world. Well, today is that day, you hear me, goblins. I will annihilate you with my dark lightning.

Goblins incoming. I dodged and dodged, thank gosh. My agility came in handy. Let's try this again.

Intense lightning came out, instantly killing those goblins. I was flabbergasted by how powerful that spell is. Better watch out, world… I am here to take over the stupid power balancing.

I saw a prompt on my screen. Did I level up!?

Woah, that's quite a power leap. Let me inspect these goblins. I looked for any information relating to the goblins on why I leveled up real quick. I guess the guild would know, as I walked out of the eerie woods. I headed straight to the guild; as I entered, silence filled the room. Due to my lack of social cues, I completely did not read the room.

“I am here to drop off these goblins’ cores.”

“Huh, now is not a good time.”

“Why is that?” I asked.

“Someone mentioned a rumor going around.”

“Ok… ok, I will come back around tomorrow.”

Wow, never in my life have I been that close to a pretty lady. I will ask for her name when I go back to get my money.

Tonight, it was an eventful time to log out and get some shut-eye.
