Chapter 7:

CHAPTER 7; The Special Tournament Begins

THE GAME SLAYER

Ajib turned to Rax. “So… what was that exactly?”

Rax chuckled softly. “It’s called instant insurance.”

“Insurance?” Ajib tilted his head. “Brother… What kind of insurance are you talking about?”

Suddenly, a thought crossed his mind. Wait… in real life, insurance works one way, but here… it might be something completely different.

“Come inside,” Rax said, gesturing toward his house. “I’ll explain everything.”

Rax stepped in, and Ajib followed closely behind.
The moment he entered, Ajib’s eyes widened.

“This place… it’s much bigger than your previous house,” Ajib murmured, looking around in awe.
The two-story home was beautifully decorated, clean, with a sleek glass staircase that seemed to sparkle under the lights.

Rax motioned for him to sit. “Let me explain.”

Ajib didn’t sit on a chair. Instead, he settled himself on the glass staircase, thinking, I’ve always wanted a house with a glass staircase…

”Rax leaned back. “Listen carefully. We are players. We can kill each other at any time—whether for revenge, money, or no reason at all. Which means we’re never truly safe. To protect ourselves, there’s a system in the game called ‘System Victory.’ We can request a safehouse from them, but it costs one million taka.”

Ajib muttered to himself, This feels just like real life… except in reality, no one builds you a house for money. Games really are full of free cash.

Rax continued, “I bought this place. But if it collapses, or gets destroyed, I won’t be able to rebuild it—I don’t have that kind of money right now.”

Ajib hesitated. “How… did you even earn a million taka?”

“Three days of non-stop Assigning contract c” Rax replied calmly. “I’ve taken down 3,208 players so far.”

Ajib nodded slowly. “Alright. For today, I’ll stay here. But tomorrow, I’ll move to a hotel.”

Rax smirked. “From tomorrow, the Special Tournament begins. You’ll be participating.”

“What?!” Ajib blinked. “I don’t even know how to fight… I’m basically a loser!

“You have no choice,” Rax said flatly. “Even if you refuse, they’ll take you by force.”

Ajib narrowed his eyes. “How do you know that?”

“Because I already registered your name,” Rax replied casually. “It can’t be changed now.”

Ajib froze. This guy… helping me in such a way, and yet… dragging me into danger at the same time.

The next morning, Ajib woke up in a hotel room. He rubbed his eyes. “Huh? Where am I…?”
Then it hit him—the Special Tournament was today. So… they brought me here already.

A notification flashed on his screen:

Tournament Info:
Total players: 1,000,000
Defeat players to earn points.
Kill 1 player = 10 money
Kill 2 players = (10 × 10) = 100 money

Ajib stared. This is insane…

He was about to head to the bathroom when the door suddenly burst open.
A man rushed in—but before he could attack, another figure appeared behind him, fired a shot, and the entire room exploded into chaos.

Ajib scrambled into the bathroom, blood soaking his clothes. Damn… I think two of my bones just broke…

From the broken wall, a figure emerged. His presence was suffocating, his face twisted into the cold grin of a murderer. In his hands, he held a massive gun—
