I looked at the exploding terrorist, "I hope you go to hell so you can burn some more" I cursed under my breath. I couldn't help but smile sadistically. I stretched a bit before I ran towards where I came from; I looked down at the guards I had knocked down earlier. If not that they were unconscious already, I wouldn't have felt any empathy for them and maybe break or cut off a limb or two. I sprinted towards my room and looked inside just for security's sake. I then drove myself farther into the hallway, I then saw that the door was slightly open. I opened it and to my surprise, I didn't find Elaine, there were several marks on the floor from what I guessed to be fire and the air was cool. What I guessed to be Elaine's wand was on the floor. "I don't think she had time to retrieve her wand before the enemy came. Conjurers are weak without their wand's or staff's before they reach a certain level." Ariel mentioned I went over to "where I had spotted the burn mark, "Ariel can you analyze this, and tell me what could have made this" "Well, I suppose that this was made by lightning magic the subability of fire. There are a few mana traces. I think I can track it back to the attacker, and there is no doubt Elaine used wind magic" she answered with a hint of pride in her AI voice. I touched the burn mark a few more time's, it was slightly warm. Why would someone want to kidnap Elaine, she maybe was from a powerful family I didn't doubt that. The ability to use necromancy was probably a rare ability. "Ariel, could you tell me more about this world and the ability's" I asked "Hmm, well you see there are three types of abilities. Mana or magic, Ki and Aure, let's start with mana. Mana is around everyone. And the magic ability has two categories in it. Elemental and non-elemental, the elemental magic art's is fire, air, earth, and water. And these elements have sub-ability's in them, as for fire that is lightning, air doesn't have a sub-ability, for earth is metal and magma and water is ice." I already knew that from before, but Ariel's version was a better explanation. "So what about the non-elementals," I asked "Well the non-elemental are affinity's can actually be anything, as long as it is not elemental. An example is maybe smoke magic or chain magic. But non-elemental magic craves more mana from the user's reserves. There are only elemental mana particles around us so the non-elemental users will have to absorb the elemental particles and refine them pure In their mana center. There was a moment of silence between us before Ariel finally spoke "That will be hard considering the situation. Awakening should flow naturally" "Can I awaken naturally? according to the countless novels and comics, I have been reading. There was no such thing as an outsider from another world awakens naturally.
