Chapter 41: Old Love Rekindled (Best-Ending-Semi-Canon)

Five years had passed. My life, which was once silent, was now filled with happiness and laughter.

It all started after I listened to my conversation with Kenzaki-nii. I realized I couldn't run from my destiny. The choice was in my hands, and I knew who it was.

Just then, my phone rang. It was Seulbi. "Akira-kun, I'm back in Japan!" she said, her voice filled with happiness.

I didn't waste any time. I immediately rushed to the airport, pushing my way through the crowds of people. There, in the middle of the commotion, I saw her. Seulbi was standing in a beautiful red dress, holding a bouquet of flowers.

"Seulbi," I called, my voice a little shaky.

Seulbi turned, her clear blue eyes looking at me. "Akira-kun," she whispered. "I've been waiting for you."

I walked closer, taking out a ring. "Seulbi," I said, "you once proposed to me. But this time, let me be the one to propose to you. Will you... marry me?"

Seulbi was silent. Tears fell from her eyes. She nodded. "Of course, I will!"

We hugged each other. We didn't care about the people around us. I knew this was our destiny. An old love that finally bloomed again.

Five years had passed. Seulbi and I were married. I became a famous lawyer, and Seulbi, a successful artist and model. We had two very cute children. Hotaro, our four-year-old son, had gray hair and golden eyes just like me. Hatsuki, our three-year-old daughter, had pink hair and blue eyes just like Seulbi.

That afternoon, we were relaxing in the park. Seulbi, our children, and I. Yui, who was now a middle school student, also joined us.

"Nii-chan! Let's play tag!" Hotaro yelled, running ahead of me.

"Daddy! Daddy! I want to play hide and seek!" Hatsuki shouted, hiding her face behind my back.

We all laughed. Yui, who was reading a book, suddenly yelled.

"Hey! Don't steal my glasses!" Yui shouted at Hotaro, who had taken her glasses.

"Hahaha, Yui-nii," Hotaro teased, running away.

Hatsuki also joined in, taking Yui's book and hiding it behind her back. "Come on! Come on! Catch me!"

Yui could only sigh in resignation. "You two are so much trouble!"

I smiled. Seulbi looked at me. "Akira-kun," she said.

"Yes?"

"I... I love you," she said, her voice soft. "And I'm so grateful that amidst all that chaos, I found you."

I kissed her. I knew this was the perfect ending for me.
