Chapter Seven: City One
THE INFINITY WORLD
I trained for a complete day without a minute’s rest.

I also practiced my running — no, my movements. And just as she said, I’m now able to move at the speed of 1000 km per second. The only “setback” is I still can’t visualize anything when I’m moving.

Hmm. It’s like she’s the driver and I’m… a vehicle.
But how do I get to the city? I can’t control my speed and I won’t know when I’m there.

“City 1.”
I was in this city a few years ago. Only students from Year 1 are stationed here. And unlike the capital, this city has thousands of tall buildings — a hundred floors each — because it houses over a million students.
The capital provides a fifty-floor building to fifty high school students (each student having a floor to himself).
Students of Year 1 aren’t paid for studying like the other classes. A Year 2 student makes about 20,000 a month and an elite Year 2 student makes two or three times as much. I’m currently receiving five million a month, something that has never happened before. Academia’s top three elites only receive two million. But I’m no elite.
Only 10% of them will make it to the next class. A lot of students drop out or die because of the intense teachings they receive, and a few experiments.
WHISPER.
We arrived in the city and everyone’s attention turned to me. This part comprises the student residential areas and some facilities for basic necessities. There are many shops and people in this area, almost like a market.

Hmph! This is nothing. I don’t want attention from humans.

Hearing the answer he hadn’t expected, he jumped in celebration with his bouncing belly and then led the way.

In no more than a minute’s walk, we stood in front of a tall building. It had a hundred floors and the sun reflected perfectly on the glass.
“It’s on the 25th floor. Please grace us with your divine presence.”
“I’m coming too.” “Yeah, me too.” “Eating in the same room with Infinity…..” “Maybe we’ll get some of his knowledge.”
The bystanders, looking so eager, lined up to follow us, while the chef and I got into the elevator and headed to the 25th floor.
The restaurant was very wide, occupying the whole floor with tables spaced well apart and a blue carpet to match the paintings.
I was then escorted by two female attendants — per the chef’s orders — to a VIP table at the far side of the floor.
YUM YUM MUNCH MUNCH.
The food was then spread all over the table as if hosting a banquet.
“Uwaahh! He surely eats like a god!” “I have to upload this.” “I heard he broke the world’s eating record, but seeing this with my own eyes……….” “I-Is he human!?”
Commentary from those who followed me into the restaurant.

I ate everything in sight and yelled out for more.
“I’ll get you something right away. You brought us so many customers we don’t have any ingredients left………… I’ll make haste at once.”
The owner then raced back to the kitchen.

“Yes. I’m so sorry! …. I-If you’d like, you can stay here for a week and eat all the food you want. And just like today……….. It’s absolutely free.”

Seeing that no more food was coming, I then stood up to leave.
