Chapter 32:

Lady Eleanor

Rockstar Isekai: fighting against Silence

Natsuo turned to the boy who left, thoughtful.

“Don’t worry about him, he’s a ne’er-do-well” said Edward, back in his kind tone.

Natsuo stared at the Lord, skeptical. Calling his own son a waster wasn’t really a nice thing to do.

“If you say so” he replied.

After hearing the cold tone he used with that boy, Edward’s smile seemed a bit off now.

“Back to us, if you’re here you surely know why I needed your presence in my castle” the duke changed the topic. “My daughter got sick after a family trip, she probably contracted Silence on that occasion because we were close to the infected area.”

“Understood. You should be more careful when choosing your destinations for family trips, though” said Natsuo.

“Indeed.” Edward tried to hide his annoyed expression behind his smile.

Olive glanced at Natsuo, a bit worried about his attitude. He was clearly irking Lord Edward and having a duke as an enemy wasn’t wishable to anyone.

“Anyway, I would like to ask you how many days you think you need to get the job done, so that I can prepare an accommodation.” Edward resumed talking. “Word has spread that you’re able to heal Silence within a few minutes, but I believe it’s just an exaggeration made by the fantasies of people.”

“What if I told you it’s not an exaggeration?” Natsuo smirked. “Don’t bother preparing any accommodation, it will take more or less three minutes.”

Lord Edward laughed politely.

“It’s not the right time to joke, Mr. Himura.”

“I’m not joking. If you don’t believe me, take us to your daughter and you will see.”

The duke’s smile twisted into a grimace. He couldn’t believe that the saviour of Blossomhyl was such an impolite and arrogant brat.

“Perfect. So you will also have the occasion to see what condition my daughter is in” he consented.

Edward got up from his chair and walked toward the exit.

Natsuo, Olive and Gregory followed him and he guided them to Lady Eleanor’s room.

They went upstairs and stopped in front of a door made of dark wood. Edward knocked and warned that he was getting in, then opened the door.

A girl seated on her bed turned to his father. She had a long mane of wavy ginger hair that contrasted with her blue eyes and a delicate face.

“Rockstar Isekai has arrived. They’re able to heal Silence, so don’t worry, you will soon get better” Edward said.

Lady Eleanor’s eyes sparkled and went to the three guests. She tried to greet them, but no sound came out of her mouth. Her expression immediately darkened.

Natsuo smiled at her. “Leave it to us, Lady.” He ran a hand through his hair. “Soon you’ll be able to let me hear your beautiful voice.”

Eleanor blushed a little, flattered.

Natsuo took out his guitar from the case and prepared the set. He summoned the drums for Gregory and used the skill OUTFITS.

Edward’s eyes widened and Eleanor put a hand before her mouth. Those clothes were scandalous. She stared at Gregory’s shaped physique, blushing hard. She had never seen a man so undressed.

When she realised that her father was still there, she immediately covered her eyes. She had to stay pure, otherwise what man would have married her?

Lord Edward frowned, almost regretting having asked for their help. They looked like comedian scammers.

“We’re about to play a rock song, it can be very noisy if you’re not used to it” Natsuo warned them, then counted and they started playing the song.

The music started boldly and captured Lady Eleanor’s attention. She slowly lowered her hands from her eyes and observed the three of them. They seemed to have fun.

She avoided glancing at Gregory because she felt too embarrassed and tried to figure out what was the source of the catchy sound she was hearing.

She locked her eyes on Natsuo and observed his hands plucking the strings. Her eyes sparkled: it was him! The way he used his guitar was hypnotizing and his hands were very graceful. Even if he looked like a criminal out of jail, that feature gave him a strange aura she was drawn to.

When they finished the song, she applauded excited.

“Amazing! I loved this RoCk SoNg you were talking about!” she exclaimed.

Lord Edward turned to her, his eyes widened. Then, she also realized.

“What? I… I can talk again! You really healed me!”

Natsuo smirked. “Of course, I always get the job done.”

Lady Eleanor smiled at him, full of gratitude.

“One of my friends lives in Blossomhyl and she went to your concert. She talked a lot about you and I really wanted to see you in person! You’re amazing as she described!”

Natsuo smiled proudly. “I’m glad to hear that. Now you can brag about the fact that we played a song just for you, then.”

Eleanor laughed. “I should do that!”

Natsuo summoned a sheet of paper and a pen with his skill and wrote his autograph, then he made the other two do the same.

“This is for you!” he said and handed it to Eleanor.

The girl took the sheet of paper as it was a treasure and smiled.

“Thank you, my friend will be very jealous!”

Lord Edward was still astonished by what had just happened. He couldn’t believe that for those three guys it took just a few minutes to heal the most dangerous disease in Roselond. And he didn’t know that Eleanor liked them that much.

After chatting a little, Natsuo, Gregory and Olive got out of the room with Lord Edward, who also offered them to have tea before they left.

When they stepped out, they found the guy with long blue hair huddled outside the door. He was tapping his left index finger on the floor and moving the other hand in a strange way that resembled a spider.

Everyone was confused by his gestures, except Natsuo. He glanced at him, shocked. He recognized that sequence of chords.

That guy was anything but a good-for-nothing.
