Chapter Seventeen: 2 V 2

Getting out of bed, I immediately released my Zinertia.
Nice………………. it feels great.
And LV who had been ignoring me then got inside me without saying a word.
What’s wrong with her?
Without much ado, I quickly got out of the castle.
If they are repeating the same pattern, they’d be in city 1………………. but………. I doubt that.
Which can only mean………………..
I shifted to city 2.
To the gods, this is all a game…………… if they want to slowly get rid of us destroying city 2 will be a good move.
I have to show this parasite I can do without her.
{Then give me back Zinertia………….. lets’ see what you can do without it.}
Forget about her, she’s been acting weird.
Arriving at city 2, I circled around for a while but saw no sign of them…………. was I wrong to come here?
I then stopped and jumped at the tallest building I could find to get a clear view of things.

Huh? I didn’t use it but my Zinertia was reacting.
And so I looked up to the sky, but nothing seemed unusual.
With my eyes fixed on the sky, I then heard the sound of something approaching at a high speed.
BAD-UMP BAD-UMP
Hearing that, I shifted without waiting to know what it was.

And just like that, the location I just left exploded in a huge blast.
What’s that!? I didn’t see anything fall.
“I see you have good ears, but that was only a test!”
A feminine voice roared in the sky.
A man's voice followed suit “Let’s finish this quickly…………. I’ll definitely rid my clan of any shame!”
Two……………. of them!!?
Just like how I met Ha’e’rrut, the two gods floated in the sky looking down on me.
{Every clan gets only one chance. He’s only here for revenge, our real opponent is………….. her!}
Two on one, huh?
The female god was of a size that of a normal human, she was dressed in pure white with a magician-like outfit and a hood. And from the hood, her sparkly pure white hair glittered.
And the RUT god was bigger, with the physiques of an over 2 meter brawler: he stood midair shirtless with an amulet on his forehead and a blue glowing ring on his right arm.
He seemed to be related with the god I defeated last time. No wonder he's talking about honor. 
“Hey you from the ‘RUT’ clan!…………… I’ve already defeated your representative……. I don’t have time to waste on weaklings!”
Trying to provoke him into making thoughtless attacks, I yelled at him from below.
But that didn't seem to get to him. 
No response? He’s really serious.
I then took a clear look at my surrounding. It was then I noticed something very strange. 
What happened here?
Tons of clothes were lying on the street…………. complete sets at that.
Why are there clothes but no people?
STEAM
And just as I thought that: steam clouded the atmosphere.
“Princess! I’ll be your opponent!”
The female god next to the RUT god declared.
I see. It makes sense now.
Answering the challenge, LV arrogantly came out of my body.
“We don’t have energy to spare………….. I’ll humor you for a while.” with a confident posture, she belittled the floating god.
She looks so confident.
….………… The air then started picking up……………. more like it started getting dangerous.
{Hey, I want you to summon me a weapon from heaven…………} Glaring at her opponent, LV telepathically requested my assistance.
BAAAAM
And another explosive attack was directed at us. We evaded it because of the sound but the destruction caused was no joke.
I cant see what’s exploding. It seems to have come from that female god………….. what is her power?
Only the sound could be heard, it sounds like a whistle blowing and causes an explosion that destroys everything withing a 100 feet radius.
I was busy trying to assess what causes the explosions when the RUT god kicked me with overwhelming force.
The kick was incredibly heavy. It felt strong enough to shatter my wrist when I blocked. The force was powerful enough to send crashing to the ground. 
The force took me away from LV and I crashed into the 3rd floor of a building.
It was overwhelming. I tried acting like It was mo big deal looking up at him. “I see……… you’ve got some power…… in your kick.” 
Funny……… me trying to intimidate a god.
My opponent then touched down on the same floor I crashed into and walked to me with a determined look.
“Please, help me!”
And as he got closer, a voice shouted from under the ruble.
A human?
Before I got the chance to look, the god shifted and took the man by his neck.
He released steam from his hand and in an instant…………..

He…………. evaporated!?
This is no joke.
Right before my eyes the man disappeared and all that’s left were his clothes.
I was naive………….. I’m the prey in this fight yet I tried to act tough. What’s going on with LV?
Feeling Intimidated by what I had just witnessed, I thought up getting to where LV was. That or leave the city completely to avoid including civilians. 
Midair while I was moving, I glanced back only to see him catching up to me. He disappeared as soon as my eyes got to him. 
Seeing as he disappeared, I then stopped, putting my guard up, expecting an attack from every direction when I noticed a river flowing to my left.
“Help! Help!” a boy 7 years of age was been carried by the current.
A child? What’s he doing out here all alone?
‘The god has retreated’ I thought to myself. I can get him out before he comes.
Thinking that, I lowered down then stepped on the water wanting to walk to where the boy was.
Hmm? This is strange…………… I learned how to walk on air and water but I cant seem to step on this river.
No……. I should save the child then think about it.
I then jumped into the water and swam to where he was.
“I’m coming! Hang on…………”
….…………?
It was then that I realized what was going on.
I was being dragged in by a strong current …………. what the hell.
With my whole body in the water, I looked up and the child was nowhere to be found.
I cant breathe………. who’s pulling me down?
I looked down to my leg and an arm without it’s body was pulling me further in.
The arm started to elongate forming a human shape.
It’s……………. the god!!?
With his new form, he smiled when he saw my confusion.
I’ve been had!
Panic inched at me. I tried reaching for the surface but the more I tried the deeper down I got.
I’m going to die if this continues.
It was then that a very sharp object pierced me from the back. And suddenly the water around me formed the shape of a spear and pierced deep inside my arms and legs.
“Unghh!!” I coughed out in pain.
It hurts!! 
….…….. A leg? But he is below me…….
And with the pain preventing me from counter attacking, a leg appeared above me and kicked me with incredible force.
The force took me deeper in and escaping was no longer an option. How can he kick like that inside water?  No………….. how did only his leg appear above me? And is there any end to the water’s depth?
I don’t have time to think about this……………. I have to get out of here!
What do I do?
REVERSE SUMMONING
At the brink of drowning, I tried reverse summoning myself to the surface and it worked.
“HAAAAA”
I gasped for air.
And I didn’t wait to think about my situation when I shifted far away into the woods and rested my body on a tree trunk.
“Hah! Hah!”
I’m stupid!
Of course it’s water.
Steam……………. I should have realized what his power was when he evaporated that man.
But wait……………. from water to steam?
He’s a god alright?
{Hey! Can you hear me now? Hiyaah!! …………… I need you to summon me a weapon. Damn it!……….. I underestimated her.} LV who’s in the middle of her own battle made a connection to me.
Looks like she has her hands full.
I wont do it, you can summon it yourself right?………… and why use a weapon when you have Zinertia?
{Listen………. Zinertia consumes a lot of energy. In a fight with a god: you have to use it wisely or you’ll run out before you know it. We have the same energy bank, if I use Zinertia what do you think will happen?}
It’ll double the consumption.
{That’s right. Right now I’m able to summon things from the human world, but unless we level up I wont be able to summon from heaven. I can only tap a little out of your energy right now.}
Oh that’s good to know………….. you are just a parasite after all.
{Hurry! She uses wind, it’s very dangerous you know!?}
HAHAHA she was ignoring me just minutes ago………….. guess I’ll go help her………..
i then jumped to the sky and set my destination back to city 2 where LV was busy playing.
Wait!! what am I doing?
The woods allowed for a safe haven and I just barely escaped from him. Now I’m getting cocky?
I was in the middle of shifting in the air when I noticed a distortion in the sky, and before I could stop I got caught into it.
Getting caught, I was once again unable to move.
AGAIN!!??
I walked right into a trap.
