Chapter 74:

Chapter Seventy Four: Undeadad

SAVING THE DEMON QUEEN IN ANOTHER WORLD

It was already midnight when I left the dungeon after my victory on the lancer. I was a little scared that I was going to meet the floor boss after fighting him but it seemed he was the floor boss. It came to my knowledge that floors above fifty have no minions. You only fight the floor bosses.
For some reason, Meila always stays up late to wait for me. I felt like apologizing after seeing her worried face. There were still a few people roaming the streets, I flew back on top of Duddul without worrying about being seen. Duddul spent a lot of time outside waiting for me. Good thing I left him a few apples in case he got hungry.
The food Meila cooked was delicious. I quickly finished my plate and went to bed without taking a bath. I was to tired for it.The excitement from my fight prevented me from sleeping. Meila was right next to me in bed wearing nothing but her pajamas but my attention was somewhere else. I wanted to continue fighting even though I was spent.
I wonder if I’ll be able to turn invisible? I wasn’t able to fly until I acquired wings from two flying monsters so I hope that’s not the case. I did try becoming invisible on my way home and it didn’t work. Maybe it didn’t because I was at risk of being seen? Or maybe I really have to collect two stones.
I was able to summon the invisible death lance however. It appears in my hand whenever I call for it.
I naturally named it the ‘death lance’ because it causes instant death.
How great would it be if the lance will kill my opponents with a single strike. I wouldn’t have to worry about drawn out battles if that were to happen.
I fell asleep without knowing. By the time I woke up the next day, it was already very bright. I had wanted to go to the dungeon much earlier when most adventurers were still not around it but I missed my chance. Now the staircase will be packed with people.
Their eyes when I come out with a large bag filled with loots are threatening. I feel as though they might chase after me. If only I could put all my loots in the Dauka before coming out.
The amount of loots I’ve gathered is enough to fill my room if they weren’t kept in the Dauka. Meila is no longer surprised at the amount I always bring back.
Even though I don’t fight in the dungeon for the money, I just cant let the loots go to waste after absorbing the samples. I bring back everything with me. You never know when they might be useful.
Meila forced me to take a shower and eat breakfast when I tried to leave the house the minute I woke up. She said it’s not healthy for my body.
She’s become a full time housewife these days. She hasn’t left the house at all since our meeting with Leila. She was depressed for a while but figured there was no point in worrying about it.
“Leila will definitely come back to us!” she said with a smile.
Ever since then, she’s been staying at home doing the chores just like a married woman. But since I already have a wife, what does that make her to me? Lust still believes Meila is my servant. I don’t want think of what she’ll do to her if she finds out the truth. Her expression always changes when I look at the succubi serving her. She never shows an angry face otherwise.
I left the house in a hurry. I couldn’t fly to the dungeon because of how bright it was. Even I if were to fly above the clouds, I would call attention to myself when I land. Duddul took me there in no time.
I also brought him his lunch in case I stay in there for a long time.
My excitement level increased setting foot on the staircase. I had no idea who or what type of monster my opponent was going to be at the time.
I never expected to face off with the king of undead.Undeadad he said his name was. He was the first monster to talk to me.
“You arrived here rather quick. That’s to be expected from the man who defeated my underlings. I was growing impatient.”
He always looked down on me from the other side of the glass during my fight with the prince. Seeing him up close, he is really big.
I was sent to a big dark room immediately after entering the dungeon. The room was lit with torches on the walls.
There on a throne made of bones, the king stared at the entrance to the floor with anticipation. His huge thick sword was implanted in the ground and he was holding the handle with both hands.
Standing 3 meters tall, a thick cape with red balls hanged down from his shoulders. The sword was half the size of his body. It was a pure black color with shiny edges.
Apart from the cape, only the two rings on his right hand and the long black leather loin cloth were on his body. There wasn’t the slightest bit of armor on him. His broad shoulders and rib cage was fully visible.
“Well then, let’s begin, shall we?” with those simple words, he pulled his sword out of the ground with one hand and slashed the air at me.
A crazily strong wind blew my way just from that single movement. It was so strong the floor was destroyed and mixed with the wind.
“Heavy house!” is also a skill I acquired fighting monsters. It enables me to hold myself on the ground like a fortress.
My barrier appeared shielding me from the attack. I would have been blown away if it hadn’t been for my Heavy house.
“Good! Now how about this!!”
He slashed left and right making an X. the wind became twice stronger. White lines appeared each time he slashed the air. They were like waves of energy coming from the sword. I had more than the strong wind to worry about. The white lines felt like a real sword attack each time they hit my barrier.
Along with my barrier, the heavy house also serves to reduce damage done to me. But even the two combined couldn’t withstand the power of his attack.
A few seconds after he got serious, I couldn’t continue the heavy house any longer. The wind blew me away onto the wall.
The flames on the torches were still lit despite all the damage done.
What power. He’s able to send me flying just by slashing the wind.
I cant allow myself to remain on the receiving end. My fight with the prince was also something like this but now I’m far more experienced with a sword than I was before. The first thing I tried was the lance. I created and shot it with my right hand from the wall. The king didn’t move a bone when the lance got deflected by an invisible wall around him. It was like a barrier same as mine.
This is bad. If I cant attack him from faraway then how am I supposed to fight him up close? His sword will shatter me to pieces.
“What’s wrong? That all you’ve got?” he looked down on me.
“Looking down on me when you don’t even have eyes, that’s a joke isn’t it?”
I’ve wanted to fight him since day I defeated the prince. I was ready to fight him at the time but now I realize that it was a good thing he left. If I’m having trouble at my current state, then I had no chance at that time.
My sword maybe small, but it was made by forging a lot of powerful swords together, his might be bigger, but I cant allow him to look down on my sword skill.
I closed the distance between us by jumping towards him. My sword tightly clenched in my hand.
If I cant attack from afar, then I just have to duke it up with him.
Along with his tall hands, his sword could reach 3 meters around him. I have to take advantage of that and attack. It’ll be hard for him to use his sword when I’m far in his range.
His sword was also in his right hand ready to fight back.
I waited until I was just the right distance from him when I changed my direction. At first, I dashed right in front of him. His sword was aiming at me fast. I was going to be hit. As such, I moved in the same direction as the sword.
I circled around from his left and braked behind him. I managed to avoid getting hit by his sword and the strong wind at the same time.
Without a moment to rest, I dashed off once again aiming my sword at his cape. I was hoping to slash the cape along with his backbone in one strike.
“KAAM!” a sound echoed when I struck him.
The sound didn’t come from the impact of his bones. It was something else. The barrier around him was as hard as steel. Just half a meter to his body, the barrier prevented all sorts of attacks from reaching.
“What!?” my sword vibrated in my hands from the impact.
How the hell is that possible? The barrier is so strong.
Right before my sword bounced off his barrier, the king had already rotated clockwise and was now facing me.
With only one foot stuck to the ground, his sword was already coming down at me vertically. It was a wonder how he was able to turn around that quickly, but to think he had the time to raise his sword up…….
I had to dodge it. There was no where to go with what little time I had to dodge his sword. Before I realized it, it was only a few centimeters to my head.
There’s no time!!
My hands subconsciously moved upwards. I raised my sword vertically upwards to counter his sword.
From that distance, all I could do was try to deflect it. It will be all over if it hits.
The reality of the matter hit me in that instance when I caught a glimpse of his sword. It had a different aura emanating from it. I knew for a fact that my sword wouldn’t be able to stop that attack.
“Heavy house!”
I used heavy house to strengthen my hold on the ground.
“KAAM!!” it was useless. My sword was pushed back with ease.
The force sent me flying backwards. My sword escaped my hands. I crashed onto the hard wall vomiting blood. My intestines felt as though they were being tied together. I could only feel numbness in my hands
