Chapter 1:
The Snake’s Betrayal #1
After passing out for I don’t know how many hours, I woke up again only to pass out again. By the time I regained my consciousness, it was nearly evening.
“Where the hell am I?” I asked myself in terrifying voice
I was really scared. Of course, I was—I didn’t know where I was, how I got there, and how the hell I could go back to my mom. She would literally declare me dead if I didn’t get home within 4–5 hours after my school ends
The place was surely the same as Earth except everything looked so pure and big. The fruits on the trees were bigger than pumpkins, and the fishes were literally half the size of dolphins.
“Wait, did I die? But how? Was it because of a heart attack while confessing to senpai?”
I was really confused, but then I suddenly remembered that I saw Miwa senpai glowing too!
“Wait, that must not be normal. Maybe she got teleported here too. But where is she?”
I knew I needed to find someone to talk to who could help me. I was not yet aware that I was not on Earth anymore. I was on some other planet whose condition was way worse than Earth.
I began to walk and look for some human who could help me, but suddenly, I saw something that shook my soul! It was a fu*king eagle—not some normal eagle, but 6 or 7 feet tall with limbs like humans and a build like Gorillas. Now I was terrified. Now I realized that I was isekai’d on some other planet where eagles were the size of gorillas, with wings bigger than me.
“Wait, is he getting bigger?”
Nope, it was not. It was getting closer. I studied a day before that a real eagle’s vision can reach about 2 miles with incredible clarity. I thought it was coming to eat me. I ran as fast as a rabbit, and thanks to all the big trees and dense bushes, I was able to save myself from the hunter.
He was scary, really scary! His eyes were green and had brown skin and feathers. His big sharp beak would have torn my skin in half in a second. He had been gone for 15 minutes now, but I didn’t have enough courage to get out. I waited for the night when eagles sleep.
As soon as the sun went down, I again began my search to find some help, and after hours of wandering in that Amazon-like forest, I finally found a house.
“Yes! A house, I will be safe now.”
Silly me. I was not aware of what was inside that house. I slowly opened the door but was too scared and intelligent to call out anyone. What if that was the home of an eagle? Because now that I was in another world, anything was possible.
I tiptoed to the second floor of the house, and a weird sound—subtle and eerie—started getting louder, as if someone was gulping something. I followed that sound to a room where I saw something that froze my heart. Right in front of me was an enormous snake, easily eight or nine feet long, devouring the very same eagle that had attacked me earlier. Its pale white body stretched and bulged unnaturally as it swallowed the eagle almost whole, the bird’s head disappearing into its jaws while its chest was still being crushed. My blood turned to ice in my veins, my legs went weak, and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. At the very next moment, the snake’s gruesome red eyes were looking at me.
I RAN! Ran as fast as I could. I heard the noise of something falling, which was definitely the eagle's body, so the python could follow me. I ran into another room and shut the door, but I knew the door was not strong enough to stop the nightmarish creature. My heartbeat was faster than ever. I looked around that big room and saw an Indian-style overhead wall cabinet on the top of the room. Thankfully, there was a ladder too. I climbed the ladder and sat on the cabinet.
I hid in the corner of the cabinet, but I knew that a snake's smelling senses are stronger than its vision. I could hear the sliding noise the creature was making throughout the floor to find me. Thank God I had a little strong heart, so I didn’t pass out in that dreadful moment.
But then, everything was silent; all the scary noises had stopped. I relaxed a little at that moment. I thought maybe the predator had gone out. I calmed my breathing and heartbeat and started thinking of a plan to get out.
‘Baaaaaam!’
The door shattered by the massive snake’s tail. His tail was bluish in color, but when he entered the room his tail turned pale white again. I was dead silent with both my hands on my mouth and tears in my eyes to save myself from the reaper.
But he knew. He knew I was in the room. It was pin-drop silence with nothing but my heartbeat and the sound of his blood-saliva mix dripping, audible to me. He was at least 7 feet below me, and there was no way he could climb up to me. But still, I was scared as hell. I wasn’t even breathing so the serpent wouldn’t find me, but I was wrong. The next moment, his face turned exactly toward me and I saw his red, bloodthirsty eyes watching me.
I hate to admit it, but I started shrieking. Yeah, just like little girls: “AAaaaaaaaaaAaaaaa….” I know I’m the MC and I wasn’t supposed to do that, but I guess it was natural. What would you do if a 10-foot-long and 4-foot-wide white python-like snake was looking right at you with his ghastly red eyes, huh?
“AaaaaAaaaa….”
My scream was so high-pitched that I could bet some of the glasses would have broken in my real world.
“Shhut up!” I heard a deep, cracking, villain-like voice echoing through the room. For a moment, I wondered where it came from.
“Gooood…” Now I noticed; it was from the snake.
“AaaaaaaAaaaaaaaaaaa…!” I screamed even louder this time—because a monster snake had just spoken to me!
“Ohh, just shhut up for God’shh sake!” the monster shouted, its hiss stretching at the end of every word ending with an ‘S.’
“Good boy. Now come down & I won’t eat you.” I knew the tone! It was the same way my mom calls me down before beating the hell out of me. But this time, I couldn’t afford to make the same mistake or I wouldn’t be able to make a mistake ever again.
“N..Nooo I won’t, I know you’ll eat me.”
“Ohh.. I see, so you’re a smart one, huhh; that’s rare,” the snake scoffed.
“What do you mean? Are there more humans like me?” I worriedly asked him.
“What! You don’t know?” he questioned.
"Of course I don’t, I don’t even know how I got here, in this weird planet,” I replied.
The snake was shocked. He was silent for a few moments, then said, “Wait, you've been teleported to this planet, from some other planet?”
“Yes, exactly. Not just me but one girl more—I need to save her,” I told him.
“So, you don’t know anything about what is going on here on this planet?” he asked me.
“I don’t, I swear to God.”
“Which God?” he asked me, and now I was confused about what to answer because I didn’t know which god the snakes prayed to.
“The… Snake God!” I replied.
“Ohhh, so you know my God—interesting. Then you must also know how my God looks like… don’t you?” he asked in a sly tone.
“Like… the Snake God,” I hesitantly replied.
And then, after a few moments of silence, with me and him watching each other, the python burst out laughing! His laughter was way scarier than his voice, and it left me quite confused.
“Ha…..Ha haa, you’re a funny human. Ok, come down here—I won’t kill you, at least for now.”
“God Promise?” I stammered.
“What’s God’s promise?” he asked.
“I mean, do you swear to your snake god you won’t kill me if I come down?”
He took a moment, then replied, “Fine boy, I swear to my Snake God that I won’t kill you; but for now! And what’s your name, by the way?”
I believed him and started coming down the thin ladder. “It's Cid, sir. What is your name?” I asked.
When I came down, I was standing next to the biggest creature I had ever seen. It was at least double my size, both in length and width. I noticed he was staring at me with his terrifying, revengeful eyes. The unnerving quiet was making me insane.
“What’s your name…. sir?” I asked again.
“EGAKE..” he replied in a heavier angry voice than he lunged at me with his big, sharp silver fangs out. My heart skipped a beat. I knew I shouldn’t have trusted a Snake !!
