Chapter 9

Stepping inside the guild, Yuna and Miss. Tanaka moved closer to Inoue's side when they saw Human men and women in armor, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Dragonkin, people with animal ears and tails and full fledged Beast people of all species drinking, eating and talking amongst themselves.

Seeing their shock, Philomena giggled as Inoue led the three of them to the guild receptionist who was a lively, smiling neko girl.

"Hello there. Welcome to the Magnaheart's adventurers guild. I am Felicia, the guild receptionist. How can I be of assistance?"

Stepping up, Inoue cleared his throat.

"We're here to form a party."

Looking at them, Felicia nodded and reached for something under the counter.

"The four of you I presume?"

Nodding, Inoue kept his eyes on Miss. Tanaka and Yuna who were looking around in awe at the people around them.

"And I assume you will be the party leader, Sir?"

Glancing up, Felicia smiled when all three girls nodded in agreement.

Placing four adventurer cards on the counter, with their pictures on them, she smiled.

"Can I have your names to fully register you into the guild ranks as lisenced adventurers please?"

Looking at the three of them and seeing them nod their heads for him to speak for them, he sighed.

"My name is Inoue, this is Philomena, Yuna and Miss... Wait, Miss. Tanaka what is your first name?"

All three looked at her along with Felicia as Miss. Tanaka chuckled.

"My name is Yozora, Dear. I suppose my name never did come up in conversation did it?"

Stamping the cards, Felicia handed them to them.

"These are your guild identification cards. These identify you all as adventurers and members of the guild as well as identifying you as a party. With these you have free access to every guild location throught all of Valanear as well as guild resturaunts, bars and the adventuring board. Though you will have to return to the guild that you accepted a quest at to complete it and receive the reward. Thank you for joining us and I hope to see you all again soon."

Bowing politely to them, she turned her attention another party that was patiently waiting.

"So what do we do now?"

Yozora asked, holding her guild card tightly, looking lost but with trust in her eyes that Inoue would know.

"Well the story and lore of the game is that the destined heroes will rise and stop the Demon King and his four strongest Generals that are called the Chosen. But since we're level one there's not much we can do right now besides some low level quests to level up and get a higher guild ranking."

Nodding, Yuna tapped her foot on the floor with crossed arms.

"So we are these destined heroes I guess since everyone else is an NPC like Philomena said? So I guess we should take a quest. Or explore town a bit and check out the blacksmith. I think it would smart to invest in some actual weapons. Ours have horrible stats.

Clapping her hands at the idea, Philomena nodded.

"Oh, yes. A shopping trip sounds wonderful. We can get some actual armor and maybe some impressive weapons. Oh, and definitely some food. I am starving."

Crossing her arms, Yozora shook her head.

"And what about money? When we looked at our inventories we saw that we had no money."

Laughing, Philomena waved her hand.

"I am Philomena Moonwrath. Daughter of the King Rygar Moonerwath, King of the Elves of the southern forests. I have enough money for all of us."

Stepping forward, Yozora put her hands on her hips.

"Since this is our first day here and since we have nothing. Fine. But after this we have to earn our own money through quests. Like we talked about on the way here. Making names for ourselves. I don't feel right, taking advantage of someones wealth simply becasue we can."

Hearing her words, Philomena scoffed and shook her head.

"This is a group effort isnt it? We are a party and Inoue said that we have to work together to survive and defeat the King of Demons wasn't it?"

Looking at Inoue and smiling when he nodded, Yozora crossed her arms.

"Besides, you wouldn't want your parents to think that you csn accomplish nothing on your own without their Influence would you? Such a reputation wouldn't look good on our party and on Inoue, your husband now would it young lady?"

Flinching slightly at her words, Philomena nodded.

"Yes, Ma'am. After today we'll earn our own way. I won't use my parents money or influence."

Smiling at the victory, Yozora nodded and followed Yuna and Inoue toward the guild exit with Philomena at her side. All of them excited to begin their journey.
