Chapter 10:

Chapter 10

My NPC Elf princess wife took me into the game and gave me a harem.

Stepping into the blacksmith, the group looked at the myriad of weapons on the racks and walls as well as the different pieces and suits of armor.

"You must be the new adventurers that entered town earlier. How can I help you today?"

Hearing the deap, rough voice, they looked around in confusion before noticing the short and stout Dwarf standing next to an anvil and kiln.

"We came here looking for some armor and weapons. Could you help us?"

Flipping his helmet up, he blushed when he layed eyes on Yozora who was smiling with her hands clasped in front of her.

"Anything for such a beautiful lady. What kind of armor would you like for your perfect body? Hopefully not some that would cover up too much. Your beauty must be presented and seen, not hidden behind heavy plate or iron."

Chuckling and waving her hand, she backed away to stand slightly behind Inoue while pulling her yukata tighter around her chest.

"We'd like something light and not too expensive. Something for a Paladin, a Cleric a Mage and me, an Archer. And some weapons too."

Changing his attention to Yuna, his flirty tone and attitude changed to a more  buisness like demeanor.

"I see. I can do that. What levels are you?"

"We're all level one."

Hearing that, the dwarf pulled on his beard, while humming in thought.

"It won't be very good since you're too low of a level for most of my goods. But I do have something in the back that might be useful."

Following him into the back, they saw a group of simple weapons on a table that were better then the weapons they had.

Picking up the two handed greatsword, I our tested it as Yuna found a bow that was made of elm with multicolored feathers plumping from the curves where the string connected.

Looking at the two staffs, Philomena hummed and picked one up, scanning it with a magical eye.

"Here, I have some armor that might help you along as well. It's cheap but it's sturdy enough to hold up until you raise your levels. You'll only be doing simple quests anyway so it's more then enough."

Putting a box of armor on the floor, he wiped his brow as they inspected it. Finding some light armor for Philomena, Yuna and Yozora and some simple plate armor for Inoue.

"We'll take it all. Except the other staff. We don't need that."

Hearing Philomena, he nodded and scratched his face.

"That'll be... How does 100 guira sound?"

Nodding, Philomena began counting the gold coins as Yozora nudged Inoue's arm.

"Guira?"

"Guira is what money is called here. Like in other games it's called gold or gill or bells."

Nodding in understanding, Yozora fixed her armored boots and gloves as Yuna crossed her arms again.

"You didn't want the other staff, Miss. Tanaka?"

Looking at it, she shook her head.

"No, when I went to pick it up some red text flashed. I suppose only I could see it. It said that I wasn't able to equip that weapon type."

As Philomena pays the dwarf, Yozora opens her status screen again.

"What kind of weapons can you equip?"

Looking at her screen, she hummed.

"Magical tomes. Where would we get those?"

Walking over and pocketing her money purse, Philomena clasp her hands behind her back.

"I think there's a shop here in town that specializes in magical items. Enchanting materials and a bunch of magical scrolls and stuff. We should try there."

Smiling at Inoue's reply, Yozora nodded and moved toward him as Philomena grumbled.

"But I'm hungry. Teleporting the three of you here took alot of energy and I am starving. I could eat a horse."

Looking at her, Inoue crossed his arms.

"We agreed to get all of us weapons. Miss. Tanaka still doesn't have one."

Critiquing her selfishness, he sighed and shook his head when Philomena started making puppy dog eyes at him while Yuna laughed.

"Fine. You and Yuna go to the tavern and order us all some food. Miss. Tanaka and I will head over to the magic shop to find a tome."

Cheering, both Yuna and Philomena rushed to the exit.

"Here, Darling. This should be enough for a tome."

"And don't take long or we might eat the food we order for you two."

Shaking their heads at Yuna and Philomena as they ran toward the tavern, Inoue and Yozora began heading in the other direction.

"You know, Dear. You can just call me Yozora. It fits better here in this world. I like feeling like part of the team and not the honorary Mother or something."

Glancing down at her, he nodded.

"Alright. Yozora it is. Actually, can I ask you something?"

Continuing next to him, she nodded and glanced up at him.

"Of course, Dear. What is it?"

"Why are you and Yuna so calm? Most people would be freaking out after having been forcibly transported into a fantasy world. And doubly so since you were both transformed into different bodies."

Laughing at his question, she patted his arm.

"It's strange, but during our time back on Earth. When Philomena and I first met. It was as if she shared her memories with me. I saw how happy you were when you played your game and interacted with her and I saw how those bullies and your parents treated you. Like I was seeing it all through your eyes. She most likely projected all of that into Yuna's mind as well. Also, when you found the bodies of your bullies in your apartment, she told us of her plan and we both agreed that it was the best for you to be somewhere that you felt safe and comfortable. But we demanded that we came along. For Yuna, she didn't want to lose you. She loves you like a brother and just like me, you give her life happiness and purpose. Without you to pamper, I would be just a lonley old woman. So I suppose in a way. We are also happy here. Here with our favorite person."

Reaching the magic shop, he quickly hugged her.

"Thank you. For everything... Yozora."

Rubbing his back and smiling, she kissed his forehead.

"You are very welcome, my dear. Now, let's find that tome and get to the tavern before those two end up eating all the food or make a fool of themselves."

Opening the door to the magic shop, she smiled warmly.

Entering, they saw magically enchanted brooms and dusters moving on their own as a tall woman wearing a  a light purple dress under a dark purple, hooded robe with long black hair with red stripes that covered her left eye entered from a backroom.

"Welcome to the Silvermoon emporium. How may I assist you today?"

As Yozora looked around at the magical items, Inoue cleared his throat.

"We're looking for a magical tome. One for a Kitsune mage."

Nodding, the woman snapped her fingers and a book flew into it, her light grey eye flashing green as she used her magic.

"Is it wrong of me to assume that a lower level tome would be required? I tend to try not to assume things of my customers but since she seems amazed by an enchanted duster..."

Chuckling, he nodded.

"Yes, she's only level one. We only just formed a party with some friends."

Nodding and flicking her fingers to make the tome float toward Yozora who caught it and began reading it, the elf smiled.

"I like to help out first time customers and beginner adventurers. Helps buisness by having a good reputation and in my opinion, helping adventuring parties is a shop keepers job. You keep us safe after all. So the tome is free. Just seeing the childlike wonder in a Kitsune of all things is payment enough."

Bowing to her, Yozora thanked her profusely.

"Please, it is nothing. Just make sure to recomend Silvermoon emporium for any and all magical needs. And if you and your party are ever in need of potions, elixers, antidotes or any magical items and enchants. Please return and I will happily assist you."

Bowing once more, the left and walked toward the tavern with Yozora holding her tome like it was her greatest possession.

"She was such a kind person. Oh my, we never introduced ourselves or asked for her name."

Chuckling at her concern over something so small, he opened the tavern door.

"I'm sure we'll be back there for something soon. She seems to have a jack of all trades magic and potion shop after all."

Nodding in agreement, she waved at Philomena and Yuna who were sitting at a booth with mugs of ale and a wide selection of food, calling them over with their mouths full.

"Come on guys. We got food and drinks for all of us. We also booked a room for the night so we can eat, take baths and relax."

Sitting with them, they chuckled when they saw Philomena with full cheeks like a squirrel as Yuna drank some ale, laughing at her. Sharing their first night in their new world and life together with full bellies and new, happy memories.
