WHISPERS IN THE COURT

Rukito, along with Athena, is now there to see who is willing to serve Rukito as the new king. Those who refuse will be put down. Rukito wants to keep some nobles , as it shows he is a liberator. Rukito starts with the Welf family.

"Hello, I am the elven King Rukito. As you know, we have won the war and will be taking over the country."

       "Hmph, a child calls himself a king. You may be strong, but how could you possibly rule?"

"I am the destined child to rule. Your king was a tyrant; he oppressed my people."

          "What's in it for us to help you and follow you ? " 'I'll work with him, and then with the others, we shall kill him. An elf has no place to be a king and rule over humans.'

"We will chat later; I have more things to do."

  The leader of the Welf family is an idiot . Firstly, he is arrogant; secondly, he dares to ask about conditions even though, in his mind, his plan is different. I can read minds thanks to Kuragari, but his face is like a book showing what he is thinking.

Rukito signals to the guards to kill the idiot from the Welf family. Rukito moves over to the next family. This family is the richest family outside royalty and became nobles due to their achievements. The family head sadly passed away, and as the sole heir, the eldest daughter is now the leader.

"Quite a young woman is running a big family such as the Habsburg. I, Rukito, am the new king. May I ask yours?"

Sitting there is a young girl with peach-colored hair, light green eyes, and an innocent-looking face.

           "I am Mia Habsburg , what is the king coming all the way to greet a prisoner? "

"You are the head of a noble family, not just a prisoner. I'll get straight to the point. I started this war for one reason, and now it is done. You were dragged into this, so it's up to you to keep your position or not."

        "Why not just kill me? Then it would be easy to take over if you kill us all."

This girl looks innocent but is definitely up to something.

"No, you got it all wrong. If the king never did what he did, I would never have done anything to wage a war. I am not someone who wants land; rather, I only want peace for us all. That is why I am offering you the chance to keep your noble status. I looked into your family, and your family had no dealings in this."

     "What evidence do you have that says the king was wrong ? Can you back the basis of your accusation? The king was not the best, but how do I know you're not the same ? "

So she is someone who will only look at facts. Great, this is the reason why I needed to go undercover in the first place. I have all the evidence needed, as well as victims to testify against the king. From why they did what they did to who helped them, as well as the names of all the nobles that were involved, I have it all. The ones that were involved will be killed for their crimes. 

Rukito shows her all the evidence he gathered and even offers to call witnesses, but the evidence he gave was more than enough. Seeing Rukito in a new light, she sides with him and accepts him as their new ruler. She is someone who cares for her people. As long as she doesn't see most of the destruction caused by Rukito merging the realms , she views him as a liberator.

Not all the nobles are loyal to their country, as many lost in a war and were forced to sign their land over to become states under the king. Getting them on my side is easy, but sooner or later they will plot against me. Now, I may be the one that got rid of a wolf that hunted and stole the territory, but soon, when I rebuild and make this land great again, the greed of humans will have them plot against me. So I picked 9 trustworthy families that are both useful and influential. As long as they believe I am right, they will follow.  

"Today, I am announcing the Habsburg family, the Aziz family, the Amin family, the Ren family, the Lee family, and the Garcia family. I need you to maintain your roles as you greet two additional Elven families who will serve in both the military and magical education. As you are aware, we elves possess greater expertise in the realm of magic. You might be curious about the prince; I have an extensive secret to reveal." 

          "Yes, as the king is dead, what play does the prince have? Was he also with his father or left in the dark ? He does have great talent, after all."

"The king was truly the worst of the worst , as his two sons were killed. He made his newborn daughter play the role of a boy. You all know of Prince Arthur. Athena is the true identity of Arthur. She was the one who sought help from me, as I was unaware of the oppression of my people. She entrusted me with this kingdom, so of course, I will come to aid my people and help her. The public may not believe my word alone, as she has suffered a lot, causing her hair to turn from red to white. I trust that with you guys on my side, we will create a peaceful place for our people."

When it comes to the public, they believe people in power, but they also trust familiar individuals . It may be the truth, but me alone declaring that the prince they knew was a princess and she entrusted me with the crown is far-fetched . I could have any girl play that role, as they have never seen the face of the princess.
The nobles are well-known, so naturally, they believe them. As for the nobles, I gave them a little blood of mine in their drink that would make them forget about any thought or plan of betraying me. By using VE with intent on my blood, I am able to change the way someone thinks of me or even make them my slave.

Orcus never trusted anyone, so naturally, he would create a skill like this. I am using it just in case. After six months, all the family leaders will be 100% loyal. By using Athena's sad story as a reason to trust me, as well as them trusting me through her, I will have no enemies . With the nobles now on my side and Athena gaining the trust of the soldiers, I am ready to show myself and speak to my citizens as their new king.   

To prevent issues later on, it is essential to eliminate all impurities and establish a strong foundation, since a house with an unstable base and inadequate support will fall apart regardless of the enhancements made above.
