Chapter 63:
The Devourer of Destiny
Eastern Region.
The warm morning sun streamed through the library window. It felt incredibly peaceful.
A woman carrying a baby paused, her gaze fixed on a man in a black kimono with long, straight hair. The man was reading a book that seemed too difficult for an ordinary person to understand.
The man let out a long sigh and clenched his fist.
"I apologize for disturbing you, sir," the woman said, asking for forgiveness.
"Hmm?" The man didn't understand why the woman was apologizing to him.
Then, he spoke again, "I need someone to teach me something."
The woman sat down facing him. She couldn't see the man's face, as it was hidden behind the book he was reading. She remained silent for a long time until the man spoke again.
"Speaking of law, do you know anything about it, madam?"
Before answering, she looked at her small, sleeping baby. "Law is a rule to regulate life."
"It's rare for me to see visitors in this library, and this is the first time I've seen a mother here."
He turned the page of his book while continuing, "Your answer just now was quite satisfying."
"I just can't stop learning. And the answer about law, that's just the basic part, really."
"Oh, and what else?"
"Law can take any form, and there are many types. For example, the Law of the World," the woman said with a smile.
Hearing those last words, the man was slightly startled. The hand holding the spine and bottom of the book twitched for a moment.
"The Law of the World... is a law that no being can attain except for the Creator God. It is an absolute power that cannot be disputed," the woman explained.
All her words were deeply meaningful. The man's mind was enlightened while talking to this intelligent woman. He then burst into laughter.
"Why are you laughing?"
"No. I just feel satisfied."
"So that was the answer you were looking for. But wouldn't everyone answer the same way?"
"No. For all humans, yes... for the human race, the Law of the World doesn't exist. I mean, a law like that is too transparent, so many people are brave enough to break it."
The woman was taken aback. She thought it made a lot of sense. There was a Creator God who made an absolute Law of the World, yet many people still broke it.
"That's right. This is a transparent law."
"There's no need to feel disappointed. Your statement truly opened my mind," the man said.
The woman nodded.
Then she said, "If there were a king who ruled the Sky World, perhaps the law would be more visible to people."
"And who do you hope to be that 'king'?"
"The Devourer of Destiny. He is the one I hope for."
"Oh."
The man finally lowered his book. He looked at the intelligent woman, who was now shocked to see his face—so young with a pair of red eyes.
His black kimono looked disheveled, even revealing his broad chest. The way the man wore the kimono made him seem like a beginner.
The woman could barely blink.
"The-Devou..." She even found it hard to speak now.
The man smiled, then looked at the baby.
"This child will be born quite strong. Since you are the mother, I hope he can become my disciple someday," he said, then vanished, leaving behind particles of light.

After living and dying repeatedly, I, who had only been pouring out sweat and blood, now began to realize how vast this world is.
And this is just one of the worlds created by the Creator God.
The Void World has now been renamed the Sky World, filled with talented beings, not just humans, but also demons, Elves, and others.
I walked directly under the gate to the Upper Realm. Where I stood now was a magnificent castle that I built with my power.
I walked into the castle made of soil and stone. A dark bluish carpet welcomed me, and tall pillars stood on both sides. My steps stopped as I looked toward the throne at the top.
I felt hesitant, but the words of many people made me laugh a little as I remembered them.
I stepped onto the first stair.
"I am..."
A spark of red lightning spread through my body, changing my kimono into my usual attire. Black, dark, and with minimal accessories. This time, however, a long cloak covered my back, and a crown of thorns rested on my head.
"...not pleasure (Eden), but Great (Mahendra)."
This world still needs rules. But this law is too transparent. If so, then I will make myself the rule that is visible to everyone.
My path to the throne is not to rule over all living beings from the three realms, but to make them submit before me.
The sound of firm footsteps reached the top of the stairs. I turned around and sat on the throne that matched my color.
Spotless black, not pure white. I smiled, resting my right fist on the side of my face—looking at the Four Strongest Legends standing in the distance.
"In this world... I am the rule! Whoever violates it, I will destroy!" Like lightning striking in broad daylight, my voice thundered into every corner of this world.
The strongest legends bowed respectfully before me. They welcomed a man who was considered a King.
The King of the World.
However, almost everyone who heard my statement just now called me a Tyrant.

Note from the author:
Thank you for reading until this final chapter. I'm happy that thanks to all of you, I was able to achieve a proper ending.
Here are some interesting facts about the novel, The Devourer of Destiny:
First, the name Mahendra, the main character, is taken from Sanskrit and means Great/King of the Gods.
Second, the Archangel is an archangel who once hated humans, but all of that changed when she reawakened as an innocent person and met Mahendra.
And, the Archangel genuinely loves Mahendra. However, due to their identities and past, they cannot be together. This is ironic because I established her as the heroine.
Third, the ancient spells from the Old World are made from Javanese script. Java is my hometown in Indonesia.
Thank you to all the readers~(I'm not very good at small talk.)
