Chapter 4:
The Phantom Eye
The black monster looked at Billy, its skeleton face mocking him. "You're coming with me, pathetic human," it hissed.
The monster grabbed Billy by the back of his neck, lifting him like a cat carries her kittens, and dashed away. Billy screamed, "Aaaaaaah! Slow down! Where are you taking me?" Before he could finish, the monster stopped and threw him onto the ground. "We are here," it said.
Billy looked around, confused. All he could see was an empty landscape-no life at all. He turned to the monster and asked, "Where are we?"
The monster pointed ahead. "Such a pathetic human. You can't even see the kingdom right in front of you."
As Billy looked, the monster injected a strange liquid into his neck. In the blink of an eye, a magnificent kingdom appeared before him.
Overwhelmed by the sight, Billy fell unconscious.
When he woke up, he found himself in a bed, and the monster was glaring at him. "No matter how much I look at you, I can only think one thing: what a pathetic human you are," it said.
Billy asked, "Where is the bathroom?"
Ignoring him, the monster drew its sword and pointed it at Billy. Its eyes glowed with green fire. "I wanted to kill you the moment I saw you, but I can't go against the King's orders."
Billy, angry, grabbed the blade with his bare hands. "I said, where is the bathroom?"
The monster looked at him with disgust. "Stop acting up. The bathroom is over there. You'll find new clothes and badges for your bleeding hands."
Realizing his hands were injured, Billy rushed to the bathroom to stop the bleeding. After tending to his wounds, he glanced in the mirror and was shocked to see his hair and eyes had turned white, and his skin was pale.
"Hurry, stupid human. The King is waiting for you," the monster urged.
Billy quickly dressed and followed the monster to see the King. As they stepped outside, he was amazed by the beauty of the buildings filled with light. He noticed everyone in the kingdom had white hair and white eyes, except for the soldiers.
The soldiers had green patterns in their eyes, with some featuring green dots. As they got closer to the castle, their eyes became a brighter shade of green, as if their power made them even greener.
Billy noticed that the monster was shrinking as they walked. "Keep your eyes to yourself, stupid human," it snapped.
"You don't have to call me stupid every time you speak. I have a name, you know," Billy retorted.
Nervousness welled up inside Billy as he approached the castle. The closer he got to the royal hall, the more anxious he became. The guards opened the door for him.
Inside, he saw the King seated on his throne, adorned with green hair and glowing green eyes. The King smiled warmly at Billy and said, "Finally, we meet... Welcome back to your kingdom, my beloved son. Welcome home, Billy
