Chapter Ninety: New Home

We spent another day at the inn. Leila spaced out occasionally. She thanked and apologized to me whenever she got the chance. The apology she gave was for telling me to forget about her back then in the sacred land and when she ran away from us in the market.
I feel somewhat embarrassed hearing her say that. Compared to the kindness she showed me when I had no one, what I did doesn’t even count.
I spent most of the time we spent at the inn in my room. Etis took care of Duddul and I talked to him from the window of my room. The girls helped out at the inn just like the previous day. It was a lot busier than I’ve known it to be. 
Etis seems to have many more admirers now.
The girls each came to my room during their breaks. They brought my food and we chatted for a while. The good thing is that Etis doesn’t seem to be bothered by what happened to her. You’ll never know something happened to her from the way she acts. She looked very happy working and interacting with the girls.
I was happy to see her in a good mood. It would have turned out too ugly if Lust hadn’t been kind enough to remove the poison from her system.
The only time I left the inn was to visit my friend Wrok. I spent some time with him in his shop watching as he conducts his business. After that, we closed the shop and talked our own business. I gave him all the loots I’ve collected so far. From the time I left the nightmare forest up to now. There were so many items counting them took a lot of time. We put them inside a different Dauka after each item we counted. The shop wouldn’t be able to accommodate them otherwise. Just the freezer wings I have are too many.
In the end, the estimated prize for all the items was a little over two thousand gold coins. With that much money, I can buy a town outside of the capital. If there is anything I have too much of, it’s money. That is mainly because I refused to leave the dropped items from monsters. I took everything and piled them in my bag ignoring all the jealous people on the dungeons staircase. Meila is the one who always puts them in the Dauka.
Wrok understands what is going on. He wasn’t surprised by the amount. If anything, he thought that it would be much more than that considering how fast I acquired the items we sold to Modnoc.
What he doesn’t know is that; unlike the nightmare forest, the monsters encountered in the dungeon are less. Just a few henchmen and the floor boss on the higher floors. 
Some of the items I gave him weren’t appraised. Either he doesn’t know their worth or he has never seen them before. We only made estimates based on the floor the dropped items come from. Maybe the total will be a whole lot greater than that. We’ll just have to wait and see.
We spent three nights at the inn. In the morning of the fourth, it was finally time for us to go home. On the third night, I sneaked out of the inn and went to the capital. None of the girls knew I did that.
During a quiet atmosphere in my room, Etis spoke “Cant you stay here?” when I told her that we would be leaving at dawn of the fourth day. She remained silent for a long time before saying that.
Her mood completely changed. I didn’t need anyone to tell me that she doesn’t want us to leave. To be more precise; she doesn’t want me to leave. 
But I have no choice. We cant keep on staying at the inn and I have her safety to consider. Lust already has her eyes on her. And besides, there is also that promise I made with the king about me staying in the capital.
Going back to our old house to repair it is no longer an option. We cant hide our identities like that. That is why I got us a new house.
Meila exclaimed seeing the giant house “Wow! It’s bigger than our previous one! It even has two floors!”
The house is a two floor building with the design of a Chinese palace from my world. It has dragon statues on the roof and in the yards. What’s more, it’s in the noble neighborhood nonetheless!
It is in the noble’s neighborhood but not in the west side like the one we lived in. This one is in the east.
The good thing about this house is that it is stationed far away from other houses even in the isolated neighborhood. This way, we can keep our heads down a bit. The three of us went through the trouble of changing our appearances using the new masks I bought from Wrok. Almost all nobles were summoned before the king when all that happened. Both the face I had back then and the girl’s faces are known by them. They wouldn’t just leave us alone if they knew who we are.
We brought along with us Etis. Grandpa gave her a day off to come visit our new home. After I told her we were leaving, she left the room in a panic and shut herself in her room. She calmed down a while later. I promised we would be seeing each other more frequently that she thinks.
At dawn, the four of us left the inn heading for the capital. Leila and Meila rode on Duddul while I flew holding Etis by the waist. Duddul only allows Meila to steer him. It’s because of the order I gave him back then.
It was Leila’s first time on a flying red dragon. He wasn’t able to fly when she knew him in the past.
Etis was incredibly surprised at how I’m able to pass through barriers without any resistance. Whenever I would pass through a barrier, I held onto a part of Duddul to connect his body with mine. That way he’d be able to pass together with me.
We moved out right before dawn so that we would arrive before the sun comes out. We wouldn’t be able to fly stealthily like that.
The living room of our new house is right by the entrance. The house has no fence surrounding it and has a peculiar painting to it. It was completely purple. Only one person comes to mind.I added a condition to seeing Lust again when Aera came that night. I told her to give me a new house since the old one was destroyed. I keep saying our old one when we were just intruding.
She gave it to me as a gift. A bribe to forget about what happened. It will take more than this to get me to forget it…………
“Woow! A golden statue!!!” just when I thought I wouldn’t be bought off so easily, a golden statue appears in the center of the living room. It was a statue of me standing with a smile.
“You look so handsome……..”
“How were you able to afford this? It looks as though it’s made of pure gold.” questions came in one after the other.
I indeed look handsome as a statue, but I’m no where that handsome. This must be how Lust sees me. Why did she have to bring something like this here? It wasn’t there when I came the other day to check out the house.
Those succubi………. Aera and Baera probably brought it here themselves. 
This statue cant stay here. They’ll have to take it back. I’m sure they are watching us from somewhere right now.
The house was cleaner than anyone expected. When I told them “I got us an abandoned house, they were all ready to clean the place inside out. To their surprise, the slippery tiles were sparkling like crazy. 
Everything was neatly arranged and in abundance just like people left not long ago. The drawers which serve as the fridges were filled to the brim. They all looked like vegetables from Lust’s garden because of how big they are.
When the girls realized there was nothing to do, Meila and Leila went to the second floor to check out the rooms. I stayed with Etis on the first floor.
Is this all because of that kiss? If all the girls I’ve kissed are acting strange towards me then there is definitely something going on. Grandpa said that Etis is so energetic when I’m around. That beast girl also said the same thing. Liek jumped and hugged me when she’d been acting weakly for days. 
Does that mean my presence affects them somehow? Meila doesn’t seem to be like that, but maybe it’s because we are always together. 
The ones I’m really worried about right now are Liek and Taht. Liek experienced the same trauma as Etis in the hands of Lust. I’m sure she’s still unconscious right now. I have to do what I can to make it up to her even if it means kissing her again. 
Lust brought this on me because of her jealousy.
