Chapter Ninety One: Milta Returns

Energy…………………. one’s own essence. External energy……….It can be beneficial and it can be harmful.
The energy I send to the people I kiss is a double edged sword. It gives them incredible amount of energy, leaves them in ecstasy and heals their injuries. The side effect however, is great as well. It leaves a person craving it more and more just like drugs.
I came to a shocking realization after experiencing the change in attitude of all the girls I’ve kissed except Lust. The energy I send to them through that kiss changes a part of their internal systems. Normally, just their own energy is sufficient to sustain them. However, the introduction of an even greater and more fulfilling energy renders one’s own energy insufficient. As such, the new energy has to be supplied directly or indirectly to the victim.
The reason Meila remains normal to this day is because we are always close to each other. One way or the other, my energy rubs off on her making her to stay perfectly untouched. However, all the girls I kissed before have different problems. 
When a person’s own energy is no longer sufficient for them, they become weak and sluggish. Nothing excites them anymore. A typical example of a drug addict.
On the day we moved to our new house, a lot of things happened. The golden statues of me were sent back to their sender. I had the succubi take them away. The girls had their suspicions about the sender but I managed to get their attention off from it.
Meila in particular was more pessimistic about it. She looked at it thoroughly and declared “It’s from a woman right?” that was the most natural assumption.
However “The king…… he gave it to me as thanks for the stone I gave him.” was what I replied with. If it hadn’t been for that incident, I wouldn’t have been able to push the gift on someone like that. There is no one I know rich enough to make golden statues of me.
Seeing that the bath was huge and clean, all three of the girls took a dip inside the wide pool. The bath is connected to a natural hot spring springing from below the house. All the hot water we may require will come directly from it. There is no need for us to warm the water.
Everything we needed was prepared for us in the house before our arrival. By that, I mean everything I needed. Lust will have a heart attack if she finds out about the girls. That’s why I asked the succubi not to tell her. Sooner or later, she will use her ability to check on me. When that happens, I can just tell her that I got a new maid since the house is too big for me.
It was decided that Meila and Leila will be staying in the second floor while I stay in the first. The rooms on the first floor alone are over ten. It made me wonder what the architect of the house was thinking when he designed it. 
I had heard that a man who came to know of Lust gifted her the house to show his love for her. Though he died before ever seeing her. The reason he built the house away from people was so that she could come live there without being a nuisance to the neighbors. He was blinded by his love that he didn’t even consider his safety. He became mad not long after and died. The house has been empty since its completion.The best solution for normal people is to never lay eyes on her. The vast majority of those who did lost themselves completely. The former king experienced that first hand. That is why the king right now has never met her before. Not even her sweet voice reaches his ears. There are servants who serve as intermediaries for their magical conversations.
After the girls bath and tour of the house, they played a game to pass time. It was the same game Etis and Meila played a few days ago. Meila thought she had gotten stronger and challenged Leila to a match. Leila accepted her challenge and smashed her pieces to hell. I didn’t know that the game could be played by three players until Etis joined in. A square was added to the rectangular playing field to make it like look like a T.
It seems any number of players can play the game at the same time. The only short coming is that it takes a lot more time since each player has only one turn per round. The person in the new square has an advantage over the ones in the initial playing field. He can aim for whoever he wants first.
It was all but fun until pieces started flying off powerfully when Etis and Leila got too serious. Those two have magical powers way beyond Meila. All she could do was watch with frustration. Well, she’s not the only one. The most frustrated of them all was me. I want to play too!!
It was at dusk after everything has settled and we had eaten dinner when I took Etis back home. We flew just the two of us. She wrapped her arms around my shoulders and we flew close to the ground slowly. It was more fun that way. And thanks to my night vision, I was able to move between rocks and mountains. 
She screamed whenever she thought we were going to collide with the objects in front of us.
Because she was a little sad when leaving, the girls promised to see her soon. Since I can fly and pass through barriers easily, I can come and go as I please. 
“I wish I could fly too!” was what she shouted during our flight.
I bet she can float if she trains her body to. Her melons might serve as a balloon for that cause. Then she would float in the sky…………….. no!! stop thinking like that idiot!! 
I tried imagining how she’ll look if that were to happen. It was somewhat disturbing. As if she’s being hanged.
I landed behind the inn where I keep Duddul. She didn’t let go of my shoulders even after that. 
“Thanks for bringing me home. I had fun today………..”
We all had fun. And thanks to her, Leila found a worthy challenger.
She had a bright smile on her when her expression changed to that of worry “I wish we could…………”
‘Stay together’ is what she wanted to say. Even without saying it, I could clearly tell what was on her mind. But that wont be possible anytime soon. She has an obligation to help grandpa and stay by his side. He adopted her because he needed a daughter not someone who would leave him right away. 
That being said, I still don’t think it would be a good idea for us to live together. Even if my heart belongs to Lust, she wont just accept that. Though I’m quite thankful that she’s alright after what Lust did to her. I’m thankful from the bottom of my heart.
Just when I was thinking to myself how happy I am she regained consciousness, she said “Look, a fairy……” In a calm voice. 
I just had to turn around to see this fairy she was talking about. But there was nothing there. And when I turned around “SMOOCH” she kissed me on the lips “I’m not scared of her.” she declared. 
I was so shocked that I froze. Not from the kiss. It was something else. It was a really close call. Her timing was perfect as if she’d known what I was thinking in my head. Normally just a kiss from me will send a burst of energy inside of her. But I’ve come to understand what is going on.
Feelings………………
Just like my feelings saved me time and time again when I was a nobody. Back then, I would wish for food to appear and it would. But my wishes gradually stopped coming true as I got stronger and stronger.
The difference between healing and the burst of energy in the people I kiss is also thanks to my feelings. I’m able to sort them out right now. When I’m sexually excited about a kiss, the energy released is different from the one I give them when I wish to heal them. Just like I healed her without hurting her.
So far, all my kisses have been driven by lust. That is why both Meila, Etis, Taht and Liek were unconscious back then. The energy I gave them overpowered theirs and now they need it to function properly.
It’s all my fault that Liek turned out the way she was. I hadn’t known at the time that Etis acted that way as well after I left. And now I’m sure that Taht is like that too.
What do I do? Do I just go around sharing my energy with them out of obligation when my heart already belongs to Lust? Or do I find some way to rehabilitate them just like they do with drug addicts? For now, I’ll have to think about that. 
If possible, I’d like for the latter to happen. What kind of danger awaits them if Lust targets any one of them?
The kiss Etis gave me behind the inn felt neutral to me. I’m sure it felt great for her, but this time around, my feelings were that of her happiness. There was no danger involved. If I had been thinking of something else, then………………………
After kissing me and declaring that she doesn’t fear Lust, her body trembled gently from the kiss. She almost couldn’t stand on her legs.
I see………… it has the same effect except that the outburst of energy is greatly reduced. The ecstatic feeling still remains.
She immediately ran towards the alley leading to the front of the inn after that. She didn’t say anything.Perhaps she couldn’t talk.
“Not scared of her?” she did say that girls have to compete. But is it still competing when she knows she can win? 
I don’t mean to reject her feelings. She was the first girl I wanted to be in a relationship with in this world. Despite all that, the feelings I now have for Lust is great. I don’t think I feel 10% of that towards Etis. Even right now, I’m just trying to find a way to forgive her for what she did. I doubt I can last another day without seeing her.
Before I can go to her, I have to make right the wrongs she has done. I’ll start first by healing Liek. I’m almost certain she’s still in an unconscious state.
From the inn, I flew straight to the barn I was with Liek inside the capital. She wasn’t there. Neither was her friend the beast girl. I asked a man I saw tending to the dragons outside about their whereabouts. With my new mask, it will be hard for him to tell I’m the most wanted in the continent even if he knew me.
He gave an interesting reply to my question “Oh, you mean the master’s favorite girls?…………..” 
So they were Modnoc’ favorite huh? Not just that, but his home is very close to my new home. It’s in the east less than a mile from us.
I thanked him for his help and flew east. This time around, I was going to meet her.
Modnoc is a high ranking noble as well. But his ranking is below that of Leila’s former master. He is supposed to be living in the sacred land. For some reason, he left and resided in the area for low ranking nobles.
“I don’t like high places” he said to the other nobles. 
All this, I heard from the man raking the ground when I asked where I could find Liek.
The nobility houses in the east have a triangular structure to them. All the houses were made to form a triangle except for one which is in front of the east angle. Our house is also not part of that triangle. It’s not even close to it.
“Stand in the middle of the triangle. The house behind you is where they live.” as instructed by the man. I did as he instructed when I found the house he had described. 
The houses are big and spaced in between. There was about 200 feet distance from a house to another. That made the center of the triangle to be really wide.
My goal is not to enter the house itself. It was night, I could see because of my night vision, but colors and other irrelevant stuff were not visible to me. I was supposed to find a separate building that is part of the house. I ignored everything and went straight to it. 
The building looked like a storage of some sort except that it is beautifully made with fine wood material. Tall flowers formed a circle around it like a garden. It was chilly getting close to it.
I hope I wasn’t given wrong information. It would be really bad if I ended up entering a different house. I peeked inside from the glass window. From the gap between the curtains, I was able to see a girl resting her head on a bed holding another girl’s hand who was lying flat on the bed.
The dark color of her skin proved it was her. I didn’t know when I opened the window and jumped in.
“KAAM!” a sound reverberated.
“Who are you!” a beast girl shouted.
Right when I set foot in the room, I was met with a fist on my king barrier. She moved so fast I couldn’t see her until my barrier stopped her by itself.
She gave off a bewildered expression looking around at my barrier “You…………… is that you?” she seemed to have heard about this ability of mine from someone else. The barrier gave me away rising her suspicion of me. The mask is useless when a person is doubted.
There was no point in hiding anymore. I removed the mask on me “I’m sorry about what happeneld to your friend. I’ve come to heal her.”
Freezing at my words, she covered her mouth from surprise “Can you?” she swiftly asked.
I nodded at her question. She held my hands tightly “Please save her, I beg of you!” she was about o break into tears if care was not taken. 
I told her to give me a minute when I went around the bed kneeling right next to her head.
She was dressed in transparent white clothing. Her dark skin glistened from the seeping moonlight. Her arms were placed together on her chest almost like a corpse. Her eyes were closed, but I could see the sadness on her face.
I smooched her on the lips “Please wake up…….” then stood up and waited for a change. She’d not been moving in the slightest prior to that. 
Not ten seconds passed after that when she softly moaned “Hnn……..~” I faced the door and left the room as the other girl rushed to her side.
I couldn’t face her. Truth is, I allowed her to remain in that state despite knowing the cure. I should have rushed over to heal her the minute I healed Etis. What a fool I am. I hesitated because I was trying to hold back from kissing her thinking it would only make Lust more mad. 
Now I’m only left with Taht. I cannot leave them alone any longer. Lives are at stake here.

Taht’s condition was worse than I thought. I arrived in her town not long after I left Liek. It was dark and only a few people roamed the streets. I floated by her window in the second floor and watched her from the outside.
Burte was in the room when I got there. Taht was sitting on the floor leaning on the wall close to the bed. She had her head slumped between her thighs. Burte was by her side comforting her.Just from seeing her, one would assume that all the problems in the world lie on her shoulders. She looked very weak and was a lot thinner than the last time I saw her. 
I felt very sad. A plate of food was kept next to her by her younger brother who doesn’t even know where to begin with cooking. She must have refused to eat the food he brought. It was left untouched.
This situation is far greater than I first imagined it. It’s like a disease of some sort. 
Taht requested the kiss from me on two separate occasions. The first was when I healed Meila. She asked me to kiss her for curiosity’s sake. The second was when I was about to leave. She asked for a kiss that time as well.
The only difference between her and Liek is the number of kiss. I only kissed Liek once. But then again, the feelings I had at the time of Liek’s kiss were greater. My desires were piqued at that time. I’m certain that Taht’s condition deteriorated slowly.
Burte was also a bit thinner. Worrying about his sister must have been the cause.
I’m sorry Taht. It’s all my fault. I should have refused to kiss you back then. If only I knew this was going to happen.
I waited for Burte to leave the room ten minutes later when I entered through the opened window. I made myself invisible so that people wont see me peeking in on her.
I called out to her the minute I set foot in the room “Taht…………” 
The inside was a mess. The bed was a mess and clothes were scattered all over. Most of them were dirty.
“Taht……….” she didn’t react to my voice until the third time “Taht………..”
Slowly, she raised her head and looked vertically at me with her eyes opened slightly. I dropped one knee on the floor looking her right in the eyes “What’s wrong……? what happened to you?” I asked softly.
Her reaction was slow “.……………!!??” she looked as though trying to differentiate reality from a dream. She could almost not believe I was standing so close to her.
The next thing I felt were her hands wrapped around my neck. A soft sensation followed soon afterwards. It was her lips. She wrapped her arms around me, pulled and kissed me in one swift motion.
I was too surprised to react in time. I didn’t think she had the energy to move fast like that.
Thankfully, I was already prepared for such an event. The feelings I had towards her at that moment were that of sadness. Just like when I kissed Etis in order to save her. I had to prepare myself to avoid doing any more harm to her.
She collapsed on my body immediately after the kiss. Her head fell on my thigh. She had lost all her strength.
I felt warm tears wetting my trouser seconds later. I couldn’t say anything to her. I didn’t know what to say.in a teary voice, she sobbed “Thank you……………….” 
I didn’t do anything to deserve her thanks. I should be apologizing instead.
I held her left hand to check how thin she had gotten. To my surprise, her wrist was slowly inflating. She was gaining weight as I watched.
The kiss was a success.
In just a few minutes, she regained all the water and fat she had lost. She returned to her original self. But she still wasn’t able to move her body. 
She managed to say a few words in that state “I…… wanted…….. to see you……. all I could think about……… was you.” in a really weak voice.
Those were her last words when she fell into a deep sleep. I picked her up and placed her on the bed.
I wanted to at least tell her how sorry I was. I wanted her to tell me when she started seeing changes in herself. If I’m hoping to find a permanent cure for them, then I’ll have to know all about the situation.
I stayed with her for ten more minutes when I left. It was time for me to go back home. I planned on returning after two days to see how she would be doing.
What I didn’t know was that an alarm would be sounded all across the capital and in the gate towns. It was the same sound I heard the first time I came to the capital. I always thought it was only sounded when a demon appeared. This time around, it was welcoming some very important people.
The heroes who left several weeks ago have finally come back from the human state. That can only mean one thing…………….
