The early summer sun peeking through the window wakes up Mo-chan from her sleep. Still struggling to wake up, she looks out the window and notices Honey outside in the garden harvesting some vegetables. Mo-chan rubs her eyes, but the image of Honey only gets clearer. Taken over by curiosity, Mo-chan decides to fly down to the garden and ask…
“Whatcha doing, Honey-chan?”
Honey, who just finished pulling out some carrots from the ground, smiles at Mo-chan and replies…
“I recently learned from an anime that girls share their feelings through making kawaii lunch boxes called “bento boxes”. I want to try making one for senpai!”
Mo-chan, curious and excited to know what a bento box would look like, follows Honey to the kitchen. Honey changes clothes puts on a yellow apron and her best smile and starts to wash some rice and other vegetables.
The sound of eggs hitting a hot frying pan wakes up Bombon. Drawn by the sweet aroma of homemade breakfast, she decides to go downstairs to the kitchen. Mo-chan and Honey are happily humming while decorating the bento box meal.
“Yo, what are you girls doing? Let me see.”
Bombon says as she gets closer to them.
The sound of an empty ketchup bottle echoes several times throughout the kitchen, almost louder than Mo-chan’s shy comment…
“A little too much ketchup but… It’s ok.”
Honey, who just finished decorating the bento box, suddenly realizes what Bombon asked, and exclaims:
“Bento box! It’s my first time.”
Bombon, already knowing what a bento box is, and curious about what the cute Honey-chan can cook up, decides to take a quick peek at it. To her surprise, it looked like something taken directly out of a gruesome crime scene. Splatters of red covered everything, everywhere, including the table. Demonic mini-hotdog tentacles and wads of meet oozing ketchup, topped with a red, dripping message that read “NOTICE ME” which at that point looked more like a threat than anything else. Bombon’s analysis of this murder box gets interrupted by Honey, who innocently asks…
“Do you think he’ll like it?”
Bombon’s response is silent, she looks mentally scarred. She picks up the murder box and quietly walks to the trash bin. Her hands shake with horror as she dumps the contents of the box in the trash.
Mo-chan and Honey are surprised by her reaction. Bombon, thinking about the future of her friend’s love life, takes a deep breath and with the most serious tone, replies to Honey:
Let… Me help you make a new one. Thank me later...
