Chapter 42:
Rockstar Isekai: fighting against Silence
Natsuo raised his scythe upon the Vassal and struck the final blow.
The Vassal melted, becoming a puddle of blood, and the sky returned to its usual colour.
Natsuo turned back and was overcome with relief: the sword had disappeared and they were safe now.
He immediately changed the song on the speakers to a healing song and their wounds regenerated.
Olive instantly ran toward him with a huge smile printed on her face.
“I knew I could trust you!” she exclaimed.
Gregory cheerfully got up and reached them.
“We’re the best!” he exclaimed and hugged them.
Olive and Natsuo felt like they couldn’t breathe.
“Isn’t this hug a bit too tight?” Natsuo complained.
“Haha, I’m sorry! I’m just happy that we’re all fine!” replied Gregory.
“Speaking of which, where is Tristan?” asked Natsuo.
They glanced back and saw Tristan still laying on the ground. His hands were covering his face and he was bubbling frenetically about the fact that he was done for and that his life sucked.
Natsuo approached him and patted his shoulder.
“Tristan, it’s over. We won” he said.
Tristan slowly lowered his hands and observed the surroundings.
“Am I already dead? The past life experience doesn’t feel like I imagined…”
Natsuo burst out laughing.
“You’re not dead, but the red Vassal is for sure. We’re safe now.”
Tristan got up, incredulous.
“Really?”
Natsuo nodded.
Tristan let out a sigh of relief. “That’s good, my anxiety couldn’t take any longer.”
“Speaking of which, thank you for saving Olive’s life, before” said Natsuo.
Hearing those words, Olive blushed a little. So he was worried about her.
“Oh… I thought that if I didn’t do anything, I would regret it for the rest of my life and, somehow, I came up with something” he replied, then lowered his gaze, depressed. “I’m sorry if I didn’t do it before, I put her more in danger like this. I’m such a failure…”
“Don’t even try to think about it. I’m grateful because you saved me, everything else doesn’t matter now!” Olive encouraged him.
Tristan nodded, unsure.
“Now we have to purify the entire area, right?” asked Gregory.
Natsuo sniggered. “No, there’s no need.”
Gregory and Olive glanced at him with an interrogative expression.
“This time it’ll be easier, trust me. For now, we should just come back to Blueweald and—” Natsuo turned to the carriage that was shattered into pieces. “That’s bad.”
“Don’t tell me we’re stuck here!” exclaimed Tristan, alarmed. “It was better to be killed by that enormous sword. If you think about it, it was a fast death… Certainly preferable than starving to death. Oh, what do I do now? My life is terrible, I knew it. There’s no way it can get better…”
Olive looked at him, a bit shocked.
“How can you think so negatively every time? We’ll find a solution, you’ll see!”
Tristan looked away from her, protecting his eyes with an arm.
“Your way of thinking is too bright for me, you’re blinding me with positivity.”
Gregory burst out laughing. “It’s true that you’re a little weird, but in a funny way!”
Natsuo opened the Rockstar System menu. He couldn’t think of anything else, at that moment. He checked all the skills and features he had and lingered on the skill GARAGE.
Maybe he could use the garages he created around Roselond as sort of checkpoints where he could teleport from anywhere.
New feature for the skill GARAGE unlocked: TELEPORT.
Natsuo smirked.
“Guys, I found the solution” he said.
He immediately used the new feature and all the band was teleported to the garage in Blossomhyl.
Gregory and Olive looked around, flabbergasted.
“This is our garage!” exclaimed Olive.
“Wow, I didn’t know you could do that. This is so cool!” commented Gregory.
Tristan observed the surroundings. Even if he was confused, he seemed to be at ease.
“I don’t know what this place is, but it reminds me of my room in the basement. I like narrow places, I feel like I’m hidden from the world” he said.
Natsuo looked at him a bit offended.
“Hey, my garage is better than that basement. At least there’s no humidity.”
“Natsuo, if we’re in the garage, does it mean that we were teleported to Blossomhyl?” asked Olive.
Natsuo nodded.
“Yeah, that’s right. As soon as we’re ready, we’ll head back to Blueweald. Now we have to think about purifying War’s territory.”
“What’s your plan?” asked Gregory.
Natsuo smirked. “We’ll release our first album.”
The other three looked at him with confused expression, silently asking him to explain.
“Basically, it’s a set of songs written by us that come out together under a common title and we can sell them to our fans altogether. Usually, they follow a theme or a storyline, to make the listening experience more enjoyable” he explained. “My plan is to release our first album and give it to the Anti-Silence Unit, so that they can use it to purify the area. And, of course, we will sell it even to our fans with all the gadgets.”
Olive applauded, enthusiastic. “Yes, I like it!”
For the first time, Tristan seemed to be excited too.
“Songs can be written? I can participate, right? Right?” he asked.
Natsuo chuckled. “Of course.”
“I didn’t understand a lot, but it seems cool! I’ll do whatever you say, leader” exclaimed Gregory.
Natsuo grinned excitedly.
“Then, let’s start writing Rockstar Isekai’s first album. It will be a hit.”
***
After a lot of work, the group succeeded in releasing their first album, called “Broken Bones”, and it was a success. They sold a lot of copies to the fans with a music player with the songs saved, a mini speaker, earphones and a poster, all released thanks to Natsuo’s new skill: ALBUM.
They gifted to the Anti-Silence Unit a special version with the healing attribute and the operations of purification became much faster.
Now, Blossomhyl’s region and the Duchy of Blueweald were free from Silence. Only two regions were left and Roselond could finally live peacefully.
After the release of the album, Rockstar Isekai received the payment from the Anti-Silence Unit and from the Blueweald family. Their fame increased a lot even in the Duchy of Blueweald.
Thanks to their deeds, they were noticed by the royal family and summoned to the royal palace for a talk.
