Chapter 22:
Dragon's Laud
"You you hungry?" I ask the forest dragon. "We have fish. Unless you don't eat fish. Dre here eats more vegetation than anything."
"I'm alright. I eat nuts, berries and grasses. If I can catch a small mammal I will have that." The new dragon explains.
"Sounds good." I reply. I stab a stick through my fish to cook them.
"Oh! Now that you joined. Do you want a name?" Pearl is as cheerful as ever after apologizing to him for more or less attacking him.
"Like a human given name?" The forest dragon looks between everyone.
"Yes, Ragon is very thoughtful when he names us." Olive praises me.
"I think I would like that. A name." The forest dragon looks my way.
Yea. Names are easy. Names are great. Why must this be placed solely on me? The only reason it takes me so long is because I draw the longest blanks.
I look up at the leaves above me. Then look to the green dragon and back up.
"How about Leaf?" I ask.
"Hmmmm." He thinks on it. "Leaves are very important. Without them the tree wouldn't live and they help everything even when they die. I like it!"
"Yay! Welcome to the group Leaf!" Pearl exclaims. She tries bounding to Leaf but sling shots back since Maddie has her foot on Pearl's tail. "Hey!"
"Oh no! I'm so sorry!" The sarcasm was a little thick in Maddie's voice.
"I will let it slide for now." Pearl says eyeing the much larger laughing dragon. "Gah!"
"What?" Everyone panics.
"I never found out that fire guys nickname was before he took off." Pearl says frustrated.
A splitting headache hits me. I double over grabbing my head. I can hear everyone being concerned around me. My vision blurs and the fire light is blinding. I can't tell up from down so I don't move. The voices are muffled together. I don't want to fade into the black but I do.

I wake up to a brighter sun overhead. Everything is feeling better also. I feel Sheldon on my chest and Pearl is on my forehead.
"You scared us doing what you did last night." Sheldon is irritated.
"I'm sorry. My head hurt and I passed out." I slowly get up as the dragons jump off my body.
"I wonder what caused it. I tried helping but couldn't find anything." Pearl looks up concerned.
"I'm sorry to worry you all." I apologize to everyone.
"Lets get you back to humans. Kem's friend Mitus is a healer. He can get you fixed up." Says Maddie.
"Humans?" Leaf asked.
"Yea a boy named Kem summoned this guy here. I'm not Ragon's dragon, my master is Sonja." Maddie explains.
"So there are more humans?" He asks.
"Yes. Kem who summoned Ragon, Sonja who summoned me, and Kem's friends Mitus, Amaya, Elbereth and Arata. They are all very kind people that want to help these lands." Maddie explains further.
"Oh." Says Leaf.
"If you want you can hide between Dre and me if they get too scary." Olive reassures him.
"I would like that." He says timidly.
"Then let's get a move on." Maddie says. "The trip should be easy since its only a few mountains over."
"Only a few mountains." I grumble to myself.
"What was that?" Maddie asks.
"Nothing." I reply.
I end up riding on Maddie's back for the majority of the time. She flys low over the trees as Dre and Leaf's claws pound the leaf littered forest floor. Olive and Sheldon randomly will jump from the rivers water just to splash back into it. Pearl flies around Maddie and I while leaving a little trail of clouds behind us.
The view is still breathtaking. The lush green mountains with a few snow caps in the distance. Chimney smoke on a random mountain. A few dragons are seen off in the distance. Maddie lands for awhile to wait for them to pass. Pearl goes up and scouts out the sky. Every so often we have to wait for another group to flyover then we take to the sky again.
Night is just about fallen when we are half way up the mountain Sonja lives on. We can see smoke from the chimney not too far ahead.
"It feels like a life time since I have been here." I say out loud.
"That's because you don't live long." Pearl comments.
"Pretty sure he ment he has been through a lot in a few days." Sheldon corrects Pearl.
Pearl sneers at Sheldon and Sheldon sticks her tongue out at her.
"Enough you two. I think I see Kem." I tell them.
I look up ahead at the green haired boy. He drops a pail of plants he had in his hand. His mouth gaps at me and the dragons.
"Hi." I say giving a small wave back. "So I found my way back? And I have some friends."

I'm in shock. Ragon is back like Guy said he would be. Along with he has six dragons with him. One of them being Maddie.
Is that a mountain healing dragon?
My emotions start to take over though. My sister was taken while she was out looking for this kid and he just waltzes back in as if nothing is wrong.
"My sister was taken." I say through gritted teeth. My fists are clenched at my sides.
"What do you mean?" Ragon asks concerned.
"Gilton took her. She was out here looking for you and he took her!" Tears flow from my eyes.
Why wasn't it him that was taken. Why her? Did he take Maddie this whole time?
"Then let's get her back!" Ragon and Maddie shout.
The tears stop flowing. How could I have ever thought of sacrificing someone for another.
"What should we do first? Do you know where she is?" Ragon starts asking questions.
"I don't know, we try to look through the orb but its hard to see." I reply.
"Can you cast that spell Sonja did for me to see what I wanted to see the most? You know on that glass orbie thing." He asks.
"We can try." I lead the way back to the cabin with all the dragons following.
The two little dragons following us in and the big ones peek through the open door. The little white one is going around talking to the others without a care in the world. I get to work on enchanting the orb.
"You smell like you haven't bathed in a month." Amaya says grabbing ahold of her nose.
"He probably couldn't bath where ever he was. The river water is cold remember." Arata defends the boy in an old robe.
"I think I got it set up." I tell Ragon.
He looks into the orb and we get a fuzzy picture. Mostly black and white with a strand of purple. The same color as my sisters hair.
"This doesn't tell us where she is?" Ragon asks.
"No just a current vision of her." I reply.
"Is there a way to ping it?" He asks.
"Ping it?"
"Yea so when this spell or what ever shows us her does that mean it activates by her? Can you have a spell to show on a map where it happens?" Ragon questions.
"That wou-" my mind starts racing. It sounds crazy.
"Like he was saying, that couldn't happen." Amaya speaks up.
"We had a thing called phones they would be kinda like your orbie things here. You can share your location with others or even send your current vision with them and they could share their vision of them back." Ragon explains.
I drown out their conversation after hearing what Ragon says.
If I could, as he said ping her location, by using when the spell activates by her I could get a location so I would need a map and locating spell. But to have a sphear where she could see us. I would need to have it triggered by the first spell. And if I rewrite the vision spell we can talk both ways!
"I got it!" I shout interrupting their debate.
"I knew you would get it." Arata smiles at me.
I write all the spells on paper and draw a rough draft of Giltons mansion. Thanks to Sonja finding the blueprints for it I was able to get all four levels of it.
"Here we go. If this fails it won't be pretty." I say conjuring up magic from in me. I say the spell that triggers the others. A clear vision of my sister comes into the orb.
"Is she in a maid outfit!?" Ragon says loudly getting his face right up next to the orb.
