CHAPTER 36

Straight line. That’s all I have to go. A straight line. There’s no roadblock or detour in my path. Everyone will also have to run in a straight line. There’s no need to turn left or right. Even if there’s a pebble on the path, don’t stop! If anyone stop, they might be out of the steam.

The tracking in my Lapis Lazarus suit is on! I cannot turn it off! Flour! Straight!

The turrets are shooting at us! It is aiming for everyone around me! They have a fuzzy reading around me! The tracking in my suit only helps it to aim better! Straight!

I’m approaching the obsidian wall! Good! It opens up the way I want it to!

We’re in!

I stop releasing the steam for now. Now, we need to take them all out! Our number is about 70. They have 120 active members inside the village. There are 8 more squads out there. Each have 10 knights. We should be able to do this before they come!

My job is to kill as many knights as possible in one minute. Then, put my cubes inside their body so I can use them as my shields. We’ll advance slowly as we still need to kill every Ambrous Knight twice due to their Ambrousian nature.

As I continue the fight, something hit me from the side. It is a bit bigger than my cubes. It pushes me away from my team. The next thing I know, my left side hits a wall.

It is a hand covered in Lapis Lazarus gauntlet. There is only one person I know that can make floating hands. Salty Ray! He’s here wearing Lapis Lazarus armor. Are you with them?

Electric moves through my entire body. Timothy is also here. His missing arm was replaced with a mechanical arm covered with Lapis Lazarus. Didn’t know that a Wizard can punch this hard!

A baseball bat hits my face. Who did you sacrifice to make it? Wanda!

They were once my party members. What happened to them? They didn’t even flinch when they strike me down. Is this the effect of Submissing Freedom?

I try to say something but only harmonica noises come out. I forgot about this blasted mask!

A fist destroys the harmonica mask. A baseball bat hits my chin. A hand made out stone comes out of the ground. The hand holds my leg from running away.

“It’s me! Su—”

A fireball explodes on me. Timothy fires electric to me. Fine! If talking doesn’t work, violence it is then!

I deflect the electric to Salty Ray. That stops his movement for now. I would finish him off but Timothy is still trying to find the right angle to blast me with magic.

I try to send a cube to Timothy but Wanda knocks it with her baseball bat. Whatever it is, I believe that Timothy had strengthened it before this fight. The normal baseball wouldn’t be able to do that!

Another punch from Salty Ray to my face. Wanda throws her sword to the ground near me. Flour! I can’t use any spell! I’m still wearing the armor. I can use the blades from the gauntlets to—another floating hand breaks my jaw. Another floating hand is holding my back. My entire body becomes heavier! Salty Ray came from World Number 2! He can increase the gravitational pull on my body!

Timothy comes in with his mechanical arm. It hurts a lot for a Wizard! I can’t fight them without my magic! Since Salty Ray can use his Gravy-lead’s ability in this zone, that means that any ability from species doesn’t count as magic. I have human, Ambrousia, and Gravy-lead. None of them are good for fighting in close or long-ranged combat. Even Gravy-lead will only make them faster.

I still have the Lapis Lazarus armor! I can use it to—

Timothy destroys the blade in one of my gauntlet. Wanda smashes the other blade with her baseball bat. What else can I do right now?! I can’t even run away because of the rock—hah! The rock hand holding my leg is gone! They must’ve forgotten about that when using Wanda’s sword! I can—Timothy’s mechanical arm extend itself. It goes straight to my stomach.

What can I do now? They can cover every range. I’m out of option. Even if I would be revived, they can continue killing me. There must be something I can do. The cubes! Both of them are outside of the sword’s range! I can control them but my control is weak because of the sword.

A spear stabs Wanda’s chest. A sledgehammer smashes Wanda’s sword on the ground. Nice work Nostra brothers!

My magic is at full power! I bring my cubes up. Salty Ray tries to put the cubes down. That’s it! I bring the cube to him! His two hands and my two cubes penetrate his body. He is dead. He should’ve keep on hand on me to keep my gravity heavier.

Timothy creates several stone walls. Nostreidon smashes one of them with a sledgehammer. The wall crumbles. Behind it, Wanda is revived. Her baseball bat is gone. Nostrades lunges at her—his spear stabs her again. Wanda dies a second death.

What’s left is Timothy.

Well what do you know. His next course of action is another fireball.

One of my cubes intercept the fireball. It explodes. Amongst the explosion, a stream of electric come to us. It hits all three of us.

I try to move my cubes to block it but the electricity will always find a crack to bypass them. Think! There must be something that I can still do!

Of course!

I breathe solid steam to form a wall between me and Timothy. It works! It blocks the electric. Before I can make the next move, a pair of stone hands hold my legs. He must be using the suit’s tracking to track me. Good! You can track me but you can’t—

Oh, the stone hands are gone. Nostrades and Nostreidon had already taken care of Timothy.

I would’ve reflect on my time with all three of them, but I can’t. More squads are returning back to the village. If these three were mind controlled, then there must be a leader somewhere. It must be someone that had been on Low Leyline Point for a long time. If this is fiction, I think it’s whoever blasted a Contracturary days ago. There’s no purple beam for now. That means the person must be on their way back to this village.
