Chapter 35:
Stalked, Isekaid, Stalked Again
This boggles my mind.
Okay. Human has the ability to have more than one subclass. When I arrived in this world, I’m technically not a human, but I still have the special trait of a human. Due to my Sorcerer class, I have Dwarvel as my subclass. After breaking two Keyward Stone, I have Steam Sapien and Cubic Leash as my subclasses. Due to Sorcerous Lake, I have Gravy-lead, which is the species from World Number 2. On a technicality, that makes me a Sorcerer with 5 species! 3 of them are also classified as subclasses! What kind of creature am I? I’m a freak! Thank goodness that the late Bard’s harmonica doesn’t count as a species.
Speaking of harmonica, I’m starting to go blind. I’ve absorbed the maximum limit of steam that the harmonica can absorb. Let’s see how long it’ll take for me to regain my sight. If I can’t then it’ll a problem for me. I can’t see where I’ll be leading my troop.
In my little army, I have a lot of Nostramount. It turns out that people with white hair in World Number 39 belongs to a species named Nostramount. They really like putting the name Nostra in their names. Each one of them can also summon a two-handed weapon. That’s why Nostrazeus has a sledgehammer. He was using his species’ ability. Funny isn’t it. He only appeared a bit in my life but he keeps living rent free in my mind.
Ah! I can see again! One minute. It’s nothing if I’m in a safe place like this. But in a battlefield? I sure hope that everyone else would cover me if I have to absorb some smoke bombs. Let’s absorb some more steam.
There is one more problem with the plan. The turrets. In my original plan, I was supposed to run while disabling my armor’s tracking. But based on the information I got from Sorcerous Lake, it turns out that the turret will automatically detect and activate the tracking of the nearest Lapis Lazarus. Why? Apparently, in case that something bad happened to the knight’s mental when they got back. There are a lot of creatures that can destroy a person’s mental in this world. I’m simply lucky that the knight killed them all inside the sealed land. Otherwise, I would’ve met them. In any case, I have to make sure that I run as fast as possible while opening the obsidian wall.
One great detail is that the turrets can’t aim on the inside of Bread Village. There used to be turrets aimed on the inside, but they were destroyed by invading Feys. So now, we only have to worry about the turrets that aim us outside of the turret.
Okay. Blind again. I have to wait one more minute.
I just remembered something! Floating words, play the latest audio log.
DETAIL CHECK
Order confirmed.
“This world is a joke. Every world is. Research this, research that. It’s always research something boring. Small scale. Consumer friendly and all that.”
That’s interesting. I didn’t know that Feys have consumerism.
“I found a pattern. A genetic sequence in our body. It would take quite a sacrifice but it can work. The portals are open for public and all that.”
Is he the one that sent Contractuaries to this world?
“I took a Fey and crumpled his body into the size of my palm.”
Wait what? A Fey can do that?
“I set it out and it became a beautiful sight.”
This must be a Contractuary, right?
“I called it Tyfobius based on his name.”
Are you kidding me?! I didn’t get to see your cutscene, I beat you in a one-shot, and you’re one of the most important boss???
“It spreads and spreads. It won’t stop. The spores keep spreading everywhere. According to the reading, it would’ve made Keyward Stone invisible to everyone but those from World Number 1.”
And you’re the reason why no one break the thing? What’s next? You destroyed the Demon’s world?
“This world is dying because of me. This is so much fun! I want to spread it elsewhere! They’re opening portals to the Demon’s world. I should spread it there.”
Are you kidding me?
“I’m not kidding you.”
Are you responding to me?
“I’m not responding to you.”
Fine! Let’s see how far you can do this!
“I don’t want to take this further.”
Giving up now?
“I’m giving up on the joke.”
Good. Get to the important part.
“I don’t know what’s important for me to say.”
Anything?
“Let’s end this here.”
Oh come on!
“There is nothing important for me to say.”
You are responding to me!
“You might think that I’m responding to you.”
See!
“But I’m simply talking to my imaginary friend.”
Yeah right.
“There’s nothing more to say. I’ve given a Dwarvel a crumpled Fey for Tyfobius. That’s not really that important, right?”
That is important! You’ve caused the destruction of two worlds! Now, there’s potential third one!
“I’m sure that everyone hit by Tyfobius is fine.”
They’re dead!
“They could be dead. At least there’s new plants on the drop zone.”
Plants?
“All kinds of plants. Spread and spread as far my eyes can see. It’s quite a sight to behold.”
I need to see that for myself.
“You have to see it for yourself.”
Of course you would respond to that.
“That’s the last of what I can say. Goodbye.”
Goodbye.
I was too worked up that I didn’t realize that I can already see. This should be enough. I’m already wearing a Lapis Lazarus armor. I used my new Gravy-lead ability to reduce as many force of gravity on this suit as possible. Nostrades, Nostreidon, and everyone else are also ready to fight.
I lead the charge covered in steam.
