Chapter 61:
Rockstar Isekai: fighting against Silence
The day of the world tour’s first concert, Natsuo got up early, too excited to sleep.
After the battle, the royal family rented for them a place to stay in Blossomhyl and they were sojourning there.
Rockstar Isekai had finished working on a new album that would have been released the day after the concert in Blossomhyl. Natsuo also insisted on adding Wisteria Town on the list of the cities of the tour to bring Olive back to her home.
Natsuo still couldn’t believe that they were really about to start their first world tour: it felt like a dream.
He got out of his room and went to the courtyard. A soft breeze ruffled his hair and touched his skin, making him smile. The atmosphere in Blossomhyl was much more peaceful now that Silence had vanished forever.
He sat down on the green lawn with dandelions, absorbed in his thoughts.
Thinking back at all the things that happened was strange. He had been through a lot together with the band.
Now, he was truly a rockstar: everybody in Roselond knew his name and listened to his music. He succeeded in becoming an inspiration for many people and he had a lot of fans who adored him.
He chuckled. In the end, he was happy to have been hit by a truck.
Natsuo took his guitar and started playing the song with which he healed Olive’s bird, some months ago. Everything started from there.
Olive heard his guitar from her room and reached him outside. She listened to the song and immediately recognized it.
She sat next to him and waited for him to finish.
“Is this the song you played the day you healed my bird?” she asked.
Natsuo nodded. “I was getting a bit nostalgic.”
Olive chuckled.
“It seems like a long time has passed since that day…”
“Yeah, I haven’t thanked you yet for joining a complete stranger to form a band” Natsuo joked.
Olive burst out laughing.
“Your song really touched me, that’s why.”
Natsuo smiled slightly.
“Now everything is over. Defeating Silence was just a dream, but with your arrival you made that dream come true. You changed the lives of countless people, becoming their saviour and inspiration” Olive said. “Is this enough to make you a true rockstar?”
“Yeah, I can consider myself satisfied.”
Olive laughed heartedly, then turned to him.
Suddenly, a stronger whiffle of wind blew and scattered the dandelions in the air.
Their eyes met and they looked at each other for a moment, then Olive approached Natsuo’s hand on the lawn and intertwined her fingers with his.
“Thank you, Natsuo. You’re the best thing that could happen to my life, really” she said.
She came closer to his face and kissed him on his cheek.
Natsuo glanced at her with a surprised expression.
“What was that?” he asked.
Olive blushed and looked away, embarrassed.
“A kiss of gratitude” she replied.
Natsuo stretched his arm toward her and gently turned her face in his direction with a hand.
“That was cute” he said.
Then, he leaned toward her and hugged her tightly.
After the initial shock, Olive timidly put her arms around Natsuo and smiled softly. She felt safe in his arms.
They stayed like this for a bit, then Natsuo loosened the hug to look her in the eyes.
“Don’t ever leave me, Olive, I need you in my life” he said.
Olive nodded.
“I’ll stay forever with you, I promise.”
***
Rockstar Isekai were about to start the concert.
A lot of fans were already there.
Alice, William and Alan were in the crowd. William was holding a banner with Natsuo’s name and had a smile up to his ears. Alice didn’t show any excitement, but she was actually happy to be there. Alan wanted to prepare a banner for Gregory, but, in the end, he didn’t do it out of pride.
Lady Eleanor, Tristan’s sister, bought a ticket for the front row and found herself near the reserved seats for royalty.
Both the king and the queen were there and, of course, the princess too.
Lady Elizabeth was holding a banner that said: Gregory is hotter than Beatrice’s system.
It was a bit strange to see the princess doing such things, but, after all, Rockstar Isekai were the saviours of her reign: it was normal for her to be their fan.
Richard More also bought tickets on the front row for him and his daughter, who was holding a banner with Natsuo’s name.
The members of the band were in the backstage, getting ready to start.
Beatrice looked out to see how many people were already there and saw the two ladies next to each other.
“Lady Eleanor and Lady Elizabeth are here!” she exclaimed happily.
“Eleanor? You mean my sister?” asked Tristan.
Beatrice nodded. “We’re friends!”
So the friend Lady Eleanor told us about was Beatrice. Thought Natsuo.
Effectively, her behaviour as a fan matched Lady Eleanor's description.
Natsuo checked the clock: it was about time to start. He could feel the excitement growing inside him at every clock’s tick.
The group gathered together and they hugged each other.
“Okay, guys, we’re about to begin. This is a moment we’ve been waiting for a long time, let’s make it memorable. Let’s show the world what being true rockstars mean!” he said.
The other four cheered.
After a few words of encouragement, they entered the stage.
As soon as they saw them, the crowd started screaming and waving banners. There were a lot of people, and they were all there for them.
The sight of so many fans gathered together in one place touched Natsuo’s heart. His dream really came true: he could perform on a stage with millions of people.
He could feel their love through their excited screams and that gave him energy: it was the best feeling in the world.
The members positioned themselves on the stage and the lights went out before the first song.
Everything was ready. Now, they just had to rock that stage.
