The quest for searching the unexpected dangers troubling the world begins.

The spirit possessed doll, Jilki will teleport the protagonist to different places where that danger has taken the most lives in a serial order starting from the easiest to the hardest. The protagonist, Hitomi, will be allotted certain abilities which will allow the quick completion of the quest.

In search of the First danger

The spirit possessed doll Jilki, in short Jil, teleported the protagonist, Hitomi to the first region in the blink of an eye by using its exclusive magic circle.

It was a bustling place where a festival was being celebrated. Plenty of shops lined the streets, starting from sweets such as Jalebi (spiral shaped fried food, crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside), Khurma (sugar covered small cuboid dough); then various juices like mango, pineapple, etc. And then there was also a ferris wheel for enjoyment. Coincidentally, the festival was celebrated for the Goddess of Peace, who annihilates danger and brings safety and security to its worshipper.

People of every age group took part in this festival, starting from the young to the old.

It was a very lively scene whether it was inside the tent of the goddess where the statue was worshipped or on the roads where various stalls were set up.

The tent for worshipping the goddess was the size of a large hall where there was a chandelier 25 feet away from the statue of the goddess which was located at the far end of the hall. The statue was made carefully with intricate details and excellent craftsmanship. People would visit the statue one by one, then after worshiping it, took their respective seats and then continue sitting there until the end of rituals. They would leave only after the completion of all the rituals and receiving back the blessed offering.

The rituals continued until midnight.

During the first day, the protagonist made a passive observation without attracting anyone’s attention as Jil had cast a spell to make her non- noticeable.

On the third day after observing most of the city, the protagonist visited the temple located at the top of the mountain because this place is filled with believers of a certain religion. Everyone worships the Goddess of Peace whose main temple is situated at the top of the mountain.

Hitomi thought that the since all the citizens are devout believers who regularly visit the temple, then there is a chance of finding clues to danger in the main temple.

There she observed that the temple was well made and the ground, roads, pavement was covered with tiles. The worshippers were made to walk barefoot before entering the temple premises. After purchasing the necessary ingredients for the ritual from the nearby shops, they entered the temple. Some people even brought their own ingredients for the ritual. The people formed a long queue to enter the main room where the goddess was enshrined.

Outside the temple, there were pigeons everywhere loitering around and the workers quickly cleaned the pigeons’ excreta so that the pilgrims are not inconvenienced in any way.

Hitomi was currently residing in a cottage, used for accommodating pilgrims from far away lands. There she became acquainted with the caretaker named Sheidz.

Hitomi— when will dinner be served?

Sheidz — It will be served at 7.30 pm till 9 pm, after that the kitchen will be closed. So be sure to come before 9 pm.

After that, Hitomi went exploring the night view of the temple, then she found that few worshippers were engaged in consuming raw blood of animals sacrificed during the rituals.

“What a scary scene, during daytime these group of people, seemed decent but now their acts are so gross” 

Then  Jil replied, “It is not good to judge a book by its cover, judgement should be made only after proper observation.”

After realising her fault, Hitomi walked towards the shop selling accessories to look thoroughly at the items available for sale. 

Shopkeeper Kei - Everything available here are local products, choose your desired item, you will not suffer any loss.

Hitomi - can I check them before purchasing?

Shopkeeper Kei - Sure, sure, they are well made, not at all defective in any way, you are bound to like them.

After that Hitomi, began taking each type of item on her hand and began her observation.

 This is a time consuming process but best suited to find the unexpected danger because one of the abilities given by the Spirit, Jil makes Hitomi extra sensitive to dangerous aura of objects by which she can find the unexpected dangers when is holding anything or is in contact with it in anyway. And by using another ability given by Jil, after finding the dangerous aura of an object or any living being, she can absorb all of the similar dangerous aura  being emitted by other objects or beings throughout the whole world and in turn purify the objects or beings responsible for the unexpected dangers just by being in contact with a single source of danger and also increase the immunity of the living beings so that any new similar instance do not occur. Just one drawback of this ability is that the contact period is 13 minutes for purifying the whole world and for increasing the immunity of its residents.

Hitomi - Mr. Shopkeeper, I would like to purchase these - box of stationeries, lead bowl, white phosphorus lined antique matches, jewellery set and makeup set, etc….

  Hitomi purchased everything that her newly gained ability had pointed out regarding the potential danger level of this objects. Then she went for dinner and after a short rest,  at midnight, she began the purification process. 

2 hours later, after completion of the purification process, she checked the lotus insignia on her hand, none of the petals had emitted light.

Hitomi - Why no none of the petals are glowing? Are there more dangerous objects to be found?

Jil - That’s correct. They are not the main culprit, when you will find the real cause, only then the petal will glow.

Hitomi - is that so? Then all my hard work is for nothing.

Jil - You are wrong. Work done is never in vain, all your work has proven that the main danger is not present in these objects, so it’s time to change your perspective.
