The LawLess Lands I: A Side Taken

Years before the events of The Kingdom of Light,

Before the Lawless Lands sunk, when war raged strong.

A certain god watched…

The man overlooked his city as beyond it, a war was being fought. A war between the mortals of this planet and his fellow deities. They would soon press him to take a side, but he was still unsure of where he wished to stand. The doors burst open as a servant frantically runs in, lowering herself before addressing her lord. “ Th-the frost is encroaching on our borders, the villagers closest to the cold have been moved to the capital but reports have indicated that the old god of Ice i-intends to launch an assault,” the young servant spoke frantically, the man could not help but feel pity, for he cherished everyone who worked under him, he crouched down to the young lady, placing his hand on her shoulder as she looks up surprised, a gentle smile sat on his face, “ Send word to the guards, everyone is to be sheltered within the palace walls, As long as I stand no harm will come to my people,” The lord pats the servants head as he rises, walking toward the balcony that overlooked his city, pillars of ice stood tall in the distance, lightning crackled around him as he stepped into the air, warping the space beneath his feet to act as steps. His robes melted away into armor, the very same armor he wore when he pierced the sky. As he got closer he could see the damage already done by the war to his land, villages in ruins, people lay dead, men, women, and even children. Dains army had set up camp, but the god himself was nowhere to be seen. The man watched from afar as the soldiers enjoyed themselves within their camp's parameters, eating and drinking. Anger built inside the Lord, thunder rumbled overhead. The man walks towards the enemy, once they notice him alarms go off and everyone scrambles to fight. Raiden draws his blade, he intended to leave none standing. He had also made his choice, his brethren have stepped out of line, and now he intends to correct them.
