I HATE THIS WORLD X2

Sen sat on his floor, drinking a black potion. 
I’ll kill more demons in the morning.

He tossed the empty bottle under the bed. I want more.

Opening his hidden bag stuffed away in the cupboard, he guzzled down bottle after bottle. Suddenly, the air felt dense; he collapsed on his knees, dizzy, regretting drinking so much. 

He twirled his fingers; the scythe appeared. He stared at his reflection of the blade. “Why did I take this out?” 

Dropping it, he lumped onto the bed and turned facing the wall. The Torture flashed before his eyes. He wiped his sweat. “I want to kill…”

He closed his eyes; the image of killing Toby in the fighting tournament haunted his mind. He shot up, his body twitching. I don’t want to....

He rose slowly. I don’t want to.

Walking to Toby’s room. I want to.

He knocked. After a moment, Toby opened. “Sen?”

“Can I come in?”

Toby stepped aside. “Are you okay?”

“I’m okay. I… want to talk.”

“Yes, sit.”

Sen looked at the balcony, then back at Toby. “What’s that?” He pointed. Toby turned to look. Sen grabbed him from behind, yanking him down, and climbed on top, gripping his neck. 

Their eyes met while Toby tried to push him off. His eyes glistened with pain, sorrow, betrayal. “S-se-sen… s-someone… h-e…” Toby’s body trembled, and his hands flopped onto the floor.

Sen gasped, jumping off. “W-what did I do… I-I didn’t—”

Yao stood at the entrance, eyes blank. “You did. You killed Toby.”

Sen turned. “I-I—”

“Sen… if others find out—”

“We’ve killed each other in tournaments—”

“But we’re forced to kill—”

“I killed Yuzuru and Mai—”

“To save them. Not for satisfaction.”

“S-satisfaction? Why would I—”

“I noticed. In fights, you love to kill.”

Sen looked at Toby’s body, then Yao. “I’m not crazy. I know how to fix this. Our bodies disappear after an hour. I’ll say he hung himself. Dacoria will bring him back, and I’ll force Toby not to tell. He won’t. He’s a scaredy-cat.”

“Okay… where’s the rope?”

“Go get one.”

We hanged Toby’s lifeless body.

In the morning, I told everyone that Toby had killed himself.
But something unexpected happened.

He wasn’t in the Dead Land.

When I met Alexander for a potion, he read my mind and blackmailed me.

“If I tell them you killed Toby, they’ll call you craz—”

“SHUT UP!” Sen yelled.

“Hmm....I advise, kill another person. See if you’re still immo—”

“NO. If I kill one, that’ll cause problems. If they don’t return, their friends will-.”

“Aren’t you all accepting of death?”

“We are, but people hold grudges. Mainly Dac.”

“Then…”

“The next newbie. I’ll kill them the first night. They won’t have friends. If they die forever, no one will miss them.”

“You’ll still be killing—”

“I’ll show them I have a reason. Testing our immortality.”

“Fine. After the next person comes, report me.....And remember, if you don't kill, I will reveal that you killed Toby.”

After two, I saw Vivian’s post of a newbie—Ren.

He was destined to die from the start.

But there was one thing…
Toby’s eyes. That expression.....Betrayal.

I wanted to see it again.

I tried my best to be nice to Ren, gaining his trust, so when he died, I’d see that face.

Sen looked at Ren’s body, then stood.

Yao leaned against the wall. “So, did you see it?”

“Yes… I broke his trust, betrayed him… that’s the same face Toby made…”

“Good for—”

“NO! WHY DID TOBY MAKE THAT FACE… WHY DID HE TRUST ME WHEN WE WEREN’T EVEN CLOSE… THAT STUPID TOBY…WHY.....”

Well.....

I killed Ren because 
I was blackmailed.
 I wanted to see that expression
and had to test immortality

The suicide was a lie...
I forced everyone to believe, and now they all know the truth

Damn, I want to kill everyone here

They all know- I am crazy

“I’m not crazy…” Sen looked back at everyone, eyes twitching.

“Sen, please calm down. We’ll put an end to this together.” Nami reached out to him.

“No, it’s not my fault. I did it all for you—"

Why can’t I take the blame? I did the same to Yuzuru…

“Sen—sen—sen… just listen…” She waved her hand.

Why do I get mad this quickly?

Oh well. This world made me this way.
Can’t help it.

It’s this world’s fault.

I hate this world.

Sen smiled at Nami, scythe aimed at Toby, before swinging toward Yao. “I think I’ll end you first. I hate traitors.” He lunged; Yao dodged, the scythe flashing as blow after blow pressed him back.

Toby appeared beside Nami. “Nami, how are you?”

She jolted. “T-toby… I’m o-okay… u-umm…”

"You must be sad, don't worry." He smiled. “When Sen dies, you’ll see I’m far better than him.”

“Don’t you dare hurt her!” Yao shouted, slipping to the floor.

Sen raised his scythe but froze, staring at Toby with Nami. “N-nami… d-don’t hurt her…”

Toby shook his head. “She’s the only one I won’t harm. She’s precious. None of this matters if I touch her.”

Nami, bewildered, pressed her lips and rushed to Sen. He grabbed her wrist, pushing her into the kitchen. “Stay here. I don’t want you hurt.” He turned to Ren. “Keep her in—better for both of you.”

“I’m not that weak,” Nami protested.

“Just stay out… I care about you—”

“The same ‘care’ Amanda showed you? You assumed she was degrading you.”

They locked eyes. Sen released the door. She stood there trembling, hair gelatinous. “Only one demon nearby…” Tears fell.

Ren rushed in. “You okay?”

She wiped her cheeks. “Yeah… just realized my Yandere boy isn’t cute after all.”

Sen’s eye twitched. “Shameless Toby… that’s why you deserved to die.” Blood dripped from his nose as fog swirled around. The ground trembled and the walls shuddered. 

Yao, ignored, leaned against the wall with a smirk and slipped into the kitchen.

Behind Toby, the Leader appeared. “I’ll take my leave…” He bent close, whispering, “Handle everything and I’ll return your body. You’ll be with Nami forever and happy.” Then he vanished.

Toby hung his head, smiling. “I’ll be human again. We’ll live like before, happy…”

“HUH?” Sen spat blood. “Are you dumb or something.....You’re killing everyone, not rewinding time.” Darkness coiled around him.

Sen tossed his scythe aside, shadows swirling around him. “I never used my black power in front of others since it looks different.”

"Your black magic against my black powers." Sen laughs. “I’LL KILL YOU AGAIN, WEAKLING!”

Toby sighed, black fog rising beneath him. Both their powers surged—then suddenly shrank, flying into the trembling wall, dissolving into smoke.

The wall collapsed, through the haze, tentacles waved as Dacoria stepped into the lounge. “T-toby?”
