Roses and Arrows

Shina said, “Yes, I became a human. Twenty years ago, when I was a child, I disturbed a sage by mistake, and he cursed me to become a parrot for the next 20 years. Today was the last day of my curse. I was about to tell you in the evening, but you came early and saw me in this situation.”

Inoshida asked with red cheeks, “So you’re going to be like this from now on—I mean, in human form?”

Shina blushed again and ran into another room to put on clothes.

Inoshida took his wallet and left for work.

“So she is a human. I think it is the right time to confess my feelings for her,” he whispered, blushing hard.

He decided to give her some roses in the evening and confess his love.

He bought roses while returning home, and when he entered his flat, he saw Shina waiting for him, wearing a cute purple kimono.

Shina stood up and went near Inoshida. He was hiding the roses behind his back.

He brought the roses in front and said, “Shina, I want to confess something… I love you,” while giving her the roses.

Shina blushed.

“This is not because you have turned into a human. I have had feelings for you for 5 years,” he added.

“Will you accept my love?” Inoshida asked her.

Shina was about to take the roses when suddenly some arrows pierced her body from behind.

Inoshida dropped the roses, yelling, “Shinaaaaaaaa!”
