Chapter 36:

Bound by Memories

Bangles of power, Warriors of Fate

A wrath appeared from behind by breaking the walls. He had a huge bow and some arrows in his quiver.

The wrath yelled, “Give me the red bangle, or I will take your purple bangle after killing you.”

Inoshida was in tears. He kept Shina's head on his lap and began crying hard. “Shina, please don’t leave me. Please, Shina, open your eyes. Shina, please.”

“I don’t have time for all this shit. Just give me the red bangle,” the wrath said.

Inoshida put Shina’s head down and stood up. He looked at the wrath with anger.

The wrath took some arrows out and began to shoot at Inoshida. He converted his lower body into a snake's tail and blocked the arrows. The wrath took more arrows, but by then, Inoshida’s tail had wrapped around the wrath's body.

Inoshida tightened his hold while recalling every memory of Shina with him.

At last, he saw a glimpse of Shina's smile in his imagination and tightened his hold hard enough to crush the wrath's heart.

The wrath died.

Inoshida sat near Shina's body and said, “Maybe in the next life we will be together.”

The next day, he cremated her body.

“Master Wahido left me, Tsangero left me, and now my dear Shina has also left me,” he cried hard.

A female monk, Mitoma Sensun, came near him and said, “Stop crying. We all have to die one day. This is the rule of nature.”

“I have been trying to find you for the last 5 years. I have a message for you from your master Wahido.”

She conveyed to Inoshida that Master Wahido was alive in Elitta's body and could sense that the yellow bangle’s owner would soon find it.
