Chapter 70:

[Anime Review] - The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity

Am I losing Interest in Writing?

This is my review of an anime called The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity

"

Yup, we're talking about this now. The show that Netflix was trying to f*cked.
Honestly! What are they thinking? They could cater to the fans of the manga and bring more people to watch on their platform, but nooooo... they would rather delay it for ONE WHOLE MONTH to... what?
Huff, I'm getting heated. Let's just talk about the anime itself.

How did I find this?
I saw the trailer and heard about the delay, so I read the manga to see why they delayed it.

I want to shout out to K-manga to provide the manga. Great service, guys! Keep up the good work there. I hope the ticket system will be better than it is currently implemented, but it was still good enough.

Upon reading, I found... nothing bad. I even caught up with the latest chapter. It was a great read, and I don't know what's bad about the series that Netflix decided to delay it.

Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?)
Get this! After getting to read the manga, I get more excited because... There is no fan service.
No, I am serious. Even when there is, it's understandable. Like Waguri and Usami, who become like a dog whenever it comes to food. Then, Saku is being cute whenever he tries to be tsun-tsun.
There is so much fan service, but not to a certain extent, if you know what I mean. That was why I was really looking forward to this anime.

Platform
Netflix with DELAYED SCHEDULE. And only that platform. Huff... I hate to say this, but... Yaar

The review;
Plot/Story
A guy in an all-male school and a girl in an all-female school are having feelings with each other, and they are trying to be closer than just a friend. But here is the catch! The guy looked very scary, and the girl is a prestigious student who is respected among her peers. Not only that, the schools hated each other, from the students to the teachers.
The setting of Romeo and Juliet was born!

... Sorry, I can't make this story interesting enough for you to watch. 😂
But trust me, guys, it's actually very good.

From the conflict, the feeling, and the communication. All of them are very divine. You have yourself a very unique romance that knows how to make the audience relate to the character more than your typical romcom.

Character
As a character, Tsumugi is very generic, but I like how the author handles her character, which is just very good, even for Waguri. She is literally just your typical gremlin petite girl, but somehow, she is shining bright like a sun.

Even more than that, the side characters also all goated! I love the boys, then later on (in the manga) I even love the girls! They are all too perfect for this world. Honestly!

OST/SFX
Love the OP and ED. Two Thumbs up!
OST also goes hard. Four Thumbs up!

Animation
Goes hard for whatever reason. Remember! This is romance. There is no need to be extra. If the characters' interactions are well-done, then you are good. But CloverWorks was like, "Nope! We are doing it like A1 Picture does it. Make all scenes feel extra and cool to look at!"

VA
Pretty good. Nothing in particular that I can pinpoint, so Two Thumbs up!

The conclusion;
The good
I'm glad I checked this one out. F*ck Netflix with their scheduling.
The bad
Time to suffer the pain of waiting for season 2 and the weekly update of the manga series.

Overall 8.6/10
To you, loner! This is good for you! 😊🥹😂🤣
